I dropped off the truck at night since it was so early. I went back to u haul after trying to speak with them on the phone. No one could give me an answer and I didn't exist. I went up there and spoke with them still couldn't get an exact answer. But said everything was OK. No one could even give me the correct milage except it was less. The money was already deducted from my checking account and (total was paid in full) then last night I got a notice from my bank a payment was declined) you were trying to take another $46 from me. Now I can't put money in my account until I know u aren't trying to rip me off.Victoria P.

The manager/employees did not answer the phone. The phone rolls over to a call center where Jessica was very polite and took my messages(I did this for 2 days). I never got a return call so I drove to the location to inquire why I was overcharged and why no one attempted to return my call. She said she had been busy which I pointed out there were no customers but me. We were overcharged for mileage by 10 miles (which we wrkte6 down and verified with Google maps) but was only asked if I took a picture of the odometer. My rental truck broke down and had to be towed away. Fortunately it was after reaching out destination. However, I was not able to drive it to the designated drop off location, so I drove over to the designated location and talked with someone there. This occurred the morning of the drop off date. I informed them that I attempted to call road side service but was on hold for more than two hours with no results. I was instructed to leave the vehicle and that it would be towed from my location. Because of this I was unable to put the required amount of fuel back in the truck. Five days later I received an email with an additional credit card charge for 4 additional days of rental, a charge for the fuel and additional days of insurance coverage. I called Uhaul customer service to complain about this charge. I had to leave a message and two hours later I received a call back. After explaining the additional charges I was told that I had to talk to the Manager at the drop off location to get the charges looked into. I drove over to the site where the truck was towed and found out that the truck was not checked in until 4 days after it was towed. After some discussion, the clerk at the location called a manager who agreed that the charges were to be reversed. As of 6 days later, I have not received the credit on my card and will be disputing the charges with my credit card company. Attention to detail people. I expect more from Uhaul.BRADLEY J.

I left my purse in the truck. I contacted the location as soon as I noticed it was gone. They said the truck had been rented out again but they did not see anything when they cleaned the truck. I put my purse behind the driver's seat with the sun-shield. If they had cleaned the truck and put the sun-shield up they would have had to see my purse. I went in twice to try to get them to call the person who had rented the truck. They assured me they would. I also contacted the home office and they assured me they would send an email to the manager of that location. When I went back in the following Saturday (the truck was due back on Sunday) they told me it had already been turned in and gone back out. The contacted the new renter but he did not see my purse inside the truck. When one of the employees spoke with the other employee who had taken my information he told him he and not tried to contact the man who rented the truck after me. My purse contained all of my credit cards, medical cards, personal family information, and the social security cards for my two children. They informed me they could not locate the information on the man who rented the truck after me, so effectively there was nothing I could do. This is extremely poor customer service if not outright theft. I will never use this location again and will advise others of the same.SHARON F.

We were directed to three different locations in the Tallahassee area to drop off the truck we rented. We were told that there was no more room on the lot and ultimately had to drive several miles out of town to return the rental. When I pulled up to the drop off location, a female employee saw me and started walking away. She got in her vehicle and left. I guess it was her quitting time. I noticed a sign at the check in point that said a representative would be out to assist and for me to wait in the equipment/vehicle. I waited for 15 minutes and no one came out. I decided to go inside to see if anyone was there. I found a male employee sitting behind the desk with earbuds in his ears and playing on his cell phone. I started to hand him my contract to complete the check in. He brushed me off and said that he would send me a receipt via email. There was no check in while I was there. I'm a retired military veteran and a supervisor for several employees in the Southeast U.S., and I can tell you for one thing that if I had someone that was under my supervision, he would not be working for me, or my organization for very long.Russell W.

I was given a key by the lady attendant, then told to go to Row EE. I was raining incredibly hard here in Tallahassee, Fl today. I had to attempt to locate the truck myself, all the while getting soak and wet. I could not find the truck, so I went back into the building dripping wet. Again she pointed out the area the truck was in and sends me back out so I there, all the while getting everything piece of clothing I had on even more dripping wet. I still could not find the truck! Finally, after I went back inside and politely expressed my aggravation, she decided to finally went out the the rain to find the truck and bring it up to me. I will never ever use that location again and will never ever recommend that location! Very very poor customer service. So what can you do??? Train your employees on good customer service. Especially this location! Since until now, have never been disappointed with U-haul or their service!John S.

Have accurate drop off locations on your website. I was VERY UNHAPPY when I arrived at the drop off site I selected when I made the reservation (on Capital Circle NE) only to be told that I would have to drive across town to make the return. The drop off site was 45 minutes away from my house (1.5 hours round trip), yet there were several uhaul pickup locations much closer. I will certainly think twice before using uhaul again.David W.

I went to my scheduled drop off location and they told me they were full. Then I had to go 3 miles up the road to another one. Someone yelled for me to follow him. About another mile further I saw some trucks and they unhitched me. No receipt no check the guy just drove off. A week later a got a receipt today and says I dropped it off on Saturday instead of Friday. I don't think I paid extra but this whole ordeal was a mess. The place is huge and the front door was really hard to find. The drop off area is super confusing to get to because there are so many trucks parked right close to the door. I dropped off the trailer just before closing time and the only thing the two guys working were concerned about was closing the place. Once I got the trailer unhooked the guys said that I was good to go and thanked me. However, the next morning I checked online and the trailer had not been checked in. It took a call to u-haul (national) (long wait on hold) to correct it. That person had to send an email to the manager of the local place to make sure it got checked it properly. It happened several hours later and I never got a confirmation call like the email requested.Andrew S.
The person who helped us to drop of the trucks at drop of location was extremely knowledgeable and helpful! Unfortunately, we forget his name! He explained us how to operate the dropping of process next time when we need it. He was super nice and patient with us since we have language issues. English is not our first language. I picked up the car with a half of the gas tank and then return it with 3/8 gas tank. My trip was 33 miles. They charged me 6 gals that equaled $25 for 33 miles. 5mpg for a truck, that was ridiculous and irrational. I won't never rent a car or recommend to you renting a car here, Uhaul.Khanh H.

The office staff was great abd very helpful, but the two movers were a hour late getting to me. I called to cancel, but no one answered the phone. I was charged for an extra day when I was early turning in the uhaul. I was also charged $25 for a "cleaning fee" because I didn't fold all of the moving blankets yet that information wasn't told to me nor did I see that on the contract. So I was charged $89 AFTER I had already paid and my card was on file and the customer service representative didn't tell me while I was in the store, she just charged my card. None of the staff were wearing masks when I came by to check in. Leon County has a face covering ordinance that states that an individual in a business establishment in Leon County must wear a face covering while in that business establishment. A customer also came in w/o a mask, and none of the staff asked that person to go back out and come in with a mask. I spoke to one of the staff persons about this, and he admitted he was aware of the ordinance. He stated that they are in and out all day long, and that the mask is not comfortable. Meanwhile, medical professionals treating COVID-19 victims are wearing masks daily along with additional PPE. Contacting the facility to try to resolve this will not be effective in my opinion, as the manager is likely aware of this and condones this behavior.Stephen H. | First Impressions
