Took almost 45 minutes to get my trailer and I had done online check-in. When I went to return it a couple hours later, the system would not upload pictures. Tried about 10 times over a half hour and never could get it to work. Called but nobody ever answered for over a half hour and also tried the chat function online, also said 29 minute wait and never did get a response. I had to leave it and get in the road back home, called the next day during work hours and still unable to reach anyone. Finally the national number said they would message the location, it processed about 23 hours after turn in. I have been to other locations within Tallahassee many times, will definitely never use this one again.Kevin W.

The sole employee was outstanding at dealing with several of us at once...she was cleaning vehicles, processing returns, selling supplies and dispatching reserved vehicles. Kristaisha Pittman was awesome on 9 April at 0900 dealing with everyone and everything. She needs a raise, an award and a promotion. The person at the counter, did not explain anything to me (I didn't even realize I would not get a credit if a returned it early, so I did and still paid full price.) He handed me the keys and told me where to find it. No one showed me how the truck worked, I was never able to figure out how to move the mirrors. I did not even know how to get out of the parking lot, I had to figure it all out. Horrible, lazy staff. There were also homeless people in the area where the trucks were and it felt unsafe and smelled like urine.Ejola C.

The tow strap (secured by Uhaul staff) came off during the drive; the reservation location was changed without consent and the phone customer service center was completely unempathetic about it. Also, Uhaul does not have any in person support for returning equipment. We experienced difficulties using their online return link (it requires internet and location abilities - due to the fact that we were moving we didn't have those capabilities). It's not the clerks fault that the company gives them no way of in person returns but it definitely soured the experience further. Very frustrating.Gabriella-Inez F.

The after hours drop off takes a long time. The app is slightly clunky but I haven't seen anything better. Perhaps, if a customer can associate a particular return ticket item with the rental contract number (order number) for return or put a QR code on the receipt and drop off so all you have to do is the return checklist and then scan the two codes and voila! Upon renting the trailer it was noticed that the harness to connect it to the vehicle was cut so the lady replaced it with another harness and and then then did a brake light and turn signal check, however what I did not know at that time was that the the running lights do not operate and as a result I had to follow the vehicle that evening after dark to ensure our safety and it cost me more gas than the rental, to top that off the next morning I turned the vehicle in At 7:30 approximately in the morning, went inside to notify the people that it was where it supposed to be and that there is an issue with the running lights and it cost me more gas than the rental, and I would like someone to talk to me in regards to this matter no one contacted me, However 77 hours later I get a call from u-haul in Jacksonville asking when I will return the trailer that I returned 3 days before! I told her where it was and everything that had happened and that I wanted to speak with someone in regards to the issue the issue as I feel I should be discounted she said someone would contact me and this has never happened then 9 days later my my bank is billed for this transaction, this is very poor and I am very displeased.russell W.
Have your equipment cleaned out of trash and spoiled left over Oatmeal and Milk left in Cab of Truck. Customer had to try and clean up someone else mess. Plus there was Candy wrappers and Water bottles and a Cigarette lighter left in the Cab as well. I reserved a truck at a different location. But was notified by a representative that truck wouldn't be available at this location and would I be okay picking this Truck up at a different location. My answer was Sure. You tell me that you cannot access my automatic payment for months. You threaten to auction off my stuff, even going so far as to send me several letters. You contact my family about payments. The staff, especially Jessica Wass always rude. Extremely unhelpful. When we would explain situations and say hey we have cancer and have been in the hospital we were met with not our problem you need to pay your bill y'all just don't like paying bills or other nasty statements like this. My very favorite was the very last call on the 27th of January when I picked up the phone to answer and before I could say hello Jessica was on the other end mocking me and how she thought the call would go. Our road has been very hard and long and this $94 storage was supposed to ease our minds. Your store made it to where I will never shop U-haul again. I was charged for an extra day when I was early turning in the uhaul. I was also charged $25 for a "cleaning fee" because I didn't fold all of the moving blankets yet that information wasn't told to me nor did I see that on the contract. So I was charged $89 AFTER I had already paid and my card was on file and the customer service representative didn't tell me while I was in the store, she just charged my card. This location was super convenient! The front office staff was helpful and professional. I was able to complete the contract within minutes and able to move in quickly thereafter. While at U-Haul Storage, I was able to visit often and had no problems accessing my unit. The only issue I had was when I went to check out. The female employee was on her phone and none of the employees were wearing masks. She said I was all checked out and I asked "that's it? I don't have to do anything else". She told me I was good to go. This employee had an attitude problem and I had a bad feeling that I wasn't going to be fully checked out. I got a notice 2 weeks later that I was late for my payment even though I had already checked out. Wonderful customer service!!! I originally had a reservation for the 20th, and unknown to me if you do not check in after 24 hours of your reservation, it was cancelled. The U-Haul representative informed me of this, and was able to get me into a larger unit that same day, and was able to apply the same discount (1 month free) that I had previously used on my original reservation. None of the staff were wearing masks when I came by to check in. Leon County has a face covering ordinance that states that an individual in a business establishment in Leon County must wear a face covering while in that business establishment. A customer also came in w/o a mask, and none of the staff asked that person to go back out and come in with a mask. I spoke to one of the staff persons about this, and he admitted he was aware of the ordinance. He stated that they are in and out all day long, and that the mask is not comfortable. Meanwhile, medical professionals treating COVID-19 victims are wearing masks daily along with additional PPE. Contacting the facility to try to resolve this will not be effective in my opinion, as the manager is likely aware of this and condones this behavior.Stephen H. | First Impressions

The customer service I received was amazing! Both girls were so sweet and nice. The girl who specially gave me the information on how to check in and showed me my unit was very helpful and nice.
