5 minutes after we loaded the truck and hit the road, we had a flat tire! We sent a text to roadside help and immediately received a reply. After about 5-minutes we had the name and contact info for the tire company coming to help. Roadside help said it would be within 90-minutes, but 15-minutes later, Lambs Tire from Austin showed up with 2 trucks and 2 guys. Less than 30-min later we were back on the road! I bought a new trailer hitch receiver with a 6" drop from this location because I have new truck that sits higher than my previous one. The guy in your shop took the time to move the ball from my old receiver to the new one, cleaned up the rust, and added some lubricant to keep it in good shape. Much appreciated! The dollies we rented were unusable. They did not have tires so they clunked all the way down the stairs. We ended up not using them. I recommend better dollies. They are a waste of money.BRIAN T.

The truck cabs are not meant for tall or larger people. I had a very uncomfortable ride driving from Sherman to Austin and then back to Shermin. My legs were very cramped as a 6' tall man. My brother had to move his left leg over to the middle of the truck because he has no leg room or comfort on the ride back. He is 6'1. I will not recommend U-Haul to friends or family in the future because of these reasons. Maybe I can find a better company that is more interested in the comfort of their driver and passengers instead of cramming the max cargo space. If U-Haul ever decides to re-design their trucks with a lot more room in the cab, then perhaps I would change my opinion.Mark R.

8710 it a classic! Norvel runs a light speed ship. He was in, out, and all around. I saw him doing everything right beside his crew. The truck ran like a Uhaulâ€¦ so you know it ran straight, fast, and FULL! Blankets! Love them blankets. Tell 1535 Christmas is coming up. Better get some spray paint! I wasn't satisfied with the billing. The online return charged me for 2 periods of rent when the representative at the counter told me it counts only as one. And then when I fueled the truck upon return they over charged me for fuel. I was supposed to return it at a 1/4 and that's the fuel input but I guess the short trip from the gas station took a little more gas that it showed just a little bit less than a 1/4 and they marked as 1/8 which was definitely not true as seen on the picture. I never had at 1/8 even before fueling. But I guess the costumers is automatically a liar if he doesn't keep pictures on his phone. So if you rent from them make sure to document and take photos of everything you do and keep for recordsDavid A.

Got the run around when I made my reservation online. End up having to pay 2x as much do to the locations and in order to get a uhual and I had to get the biggest one or not get a truck at all. Then I request to drop it off close to me at a different location but in order to get the rental I had to bring it back 28 miles out of my way.FRANK C.

Worst experience I've ever had with uhaul! Reserved a motorcycle trailer weeks in advance and when I went to pick it up the trailer lights did not work. They initially said the problem was my trailer hitch which would have been a big problem considering the same location had just installed it the week before There was another motorcycle trailer right next to it but they said it was reserved for someone else the next day. They called another location and sent me there to pick up a trailer. When I got there they said the could not let me rent the trailer for the 3 days that I needed it even though they just said yes when the first location called them. So I was sent to a third location. I was finally able to rent a trailer and was told to pull up next to the trailer where someone would meet me. At this point they forgot about me in the parking lot. I was very disappointed in the level of service, especially for what I spent to eventually rent the trailer.STEPHEN L.

Our move-in experience was very positive. Everything was as advertised so there were no surprises. We realized the unit we had selected on the 2nd floor was too small, but Norvell quickly switched us to a larger unit. Then Norvell and Patrick went the extra mile and helped us move the larger items from our 2nd floor unit down to our larger first floor rental. They were very kind and helpful. Had to rent van for another day, un expected expense, because the access hours at the facility were not clearly communicated. I spoke to management and staff about this, they seemed indifferent and the same lack of communication is most likely going to repeat itself again and again, costing customers time and money. SOLUTION: Post accurate access hours at storage entrance and update this locations webpage with hours of availability, including the option for 24-hour access.
