Nice big location, lots of trucks and pleasantly surprised by the new fleet. Had worried about the truck making it to my destination based on past rentals but the truck was in great condition! I made a reservation for a 10ft box trk for 24 hrs. I'm currently disabled due to 2 recent major surgeries. So this move was planned to the minute which was to begin at 930am 01/29/23 the last day I had to remove my contents from the current storage facility. I find out via text that I had to return the trk at 1030pm. The facility's manager refused to work with me stating that the trk HAD to be back by 9am the next 1/29/23 because one of his customers needed it. What was I ... Dog refuse? I wouldn't have rented the trk HAD they stated on site that I couldn't have it for 24 hrs. I'm on a fixed income and it had to be done on 1/29/23. It's hard enough to find friends to help you move period.... Now try to find help while being physically disabled and on a fixed income having just spent every penny you had renting that U-Haul and now without even being able to utilize using it I had to return the trk to the facility because his customer needed it. Now that I have no money to rent another trk I guess I loose the contents of my storage unit. This manager at this location is a complete jerk and has no cares about what his irresponsible actions caused me. In my eyes this manager stole the money I had saved and borrowed for this move to take happen.Sean M.

Customer service was awful. Was mislead about additional fees that would be charged for keeping the uhaul an additional day. Was only told that there would be a $40/day charge, but left out the $1/mile charge on top of that.Mickelle V.
I was briefly helped by an employee who was in a hurry. He moved the truck around for me as it was in a spot that required another vehicle be moved and then parked it in the middle of the parking lot for me to get into. I began doing the self-pick-up on the mobile website but was blocking traffic in the parking lot so began driving after quickly tapping through the pick up questions. Whilst doing this, I said I had received the dolly and moving blankets, but upon opening the back of the truck, I realized that neither things were there. So I never received the dolly or moving blankets but paid for them. I ended up not needing either of them so wasn't really a big deal, but still paid for them even though I never got them.Lance P.

We picked up a 10' truck for $19.95/day. Somehow missed that needed to return truck by 7pm or would be charged a new day. When I got my receipt, I saw the charge for a second day and I was charged $29.95/day for a total of $59.90 for the two days. I asked and was told the charge was correct. That made me very dissatisfied especially when the signs at the store, and on the trucks say 10" trucks are 19.95/day. I kept the truck from 1-8 and was charged for 2 days. - it would be better customer service if it was clear that after 7pm, you will automatically charge for 2 days. I also bought the $14 insurance and that also doubled which I was not expecting. Please adviceK D.

Hitch install was affordable, and done well. However, when I came for pick up I noticed that my hitch did not have the pin and clip, so I asked for it and was told it was in the back of my car and it was not. Had to go inside again and ask for it. When I asked for it inside again the two employees there argued about where it was and then finally gave it to me. Bad customer service on the back end was not appreciated. Dude with tattoos and piercings was rude to other employee, not cool.Travis G.

Even though the computer they were using had a problem, The gentleman that was helping me was very cool calm and collected. I was getting frustrated because of the system having a breakdown. The Second Gentleman was able to help remedy the problem by switching computers. I have to give high remarks to both for being extremely patient with my attitude. Good job fellows. I haven't rented from uhaul in at least 10 years because I didn't like my past experiences. However, this experience was great! The cargo van was new and well maintained, the building was nice, and the employees were friendly and helpful. The technology for renting was a big improvement as well.Kevin R.

At pick up it was extremely unprofessional. employees were screaming at other employees. Another employee was on their personal cellphone screening and cussing at someone. I was never informed that there would be a 25.00 charge for returning unfolded furniture pads until I returned the truck then I'm told about the 25.00 charge. Kept truck for less than 24 hours but got charged 2 days because kept it over 10 hours. Also got charged a $50 fine for I don't even know what. Overall was overcharged at least $120 for a single day rental. Never happened before with previous few rentals. Employee I spoke with was utterly unhelpful. Very disappointed. Bait & Switch. I originally rented with a pickup location in College Station to move my A&M graduating senior back to Austin, then two days before my pickup UHaul changed the pickup location to Burton TX, 50 miles away. To compensate the UHaul rep said they would change my allowed miles from 91 to 145 but at drop off I ended up having to pay for all of the miles beyond 91. Less than $30, but I'm pissed off about it because it cost me several extra hours and a few gallons of gas to go to that location to pick up the truck. I feel like UHaul owes me a refund of 50+ miles and 5 gallons of gas. Grrrrr!!David B.

The signage all states access hours but they fail to tell you that everyone is only given access during office hours unless you special request it. I was locked out of my storage in the cold with my son with no help from the general manager on giving me access to my unit. No cooperation or compassion from the unprofessional staff. The manager has his family hanging around the property during the day washing their personal vehicles and stuff. I was never granted access hours. Reservations were not honored. Reserved a 15' moving truck at 12pm. Arrived at 11:55am and my reservation was given to someone else. Was told to call the 800 for a different location. Then coincidentally, a 20' moving truck pulled up and I accepted that due to timing. I returned the equipment 50 minutes after the 11:30am deadline (which was 5 minutes after they called me to tell me I was overdue). Mea culpa - I got lost, hit some traffic, stopped for gas and took about 20 minutes longer than I'd estimated to load the truck. For my sins I was charged for an entire extra day's usage (plus insurance!), plus a $50 penalty. Put differently, I rented the truck for 4 hours but had it for 4 hours and 50 minutes. For this I was charged for 48 hours of usage plus a $50 penalty. The total amounted to $288 for 60 miles and under 5 hours. If charging approximately *$60 an hour* (as against an advertised *$30 daily rate* - plus milage and insurance) is consistent with U-haul's policies I'd suggest the company should be more upfront about their pricing. If this is inconsistent with company policy why was I treated this way?Charles W.

Our move-in experience was very positive. Everything was as advertised so there were no surprises. We realized the unit we had selected on the 2nd floor was too small, but Norvell quickly switched us to a larger unit. The process was confusing and the staff gave me different information than had been provided by the website. I had made a reservation for a specific unit but when I arrived they said they did not have any of that unit available. Thankfully I was able to get a suitable replacement on site, but my reservation was completely useless and made the process confusing. Also the cashier said that locks weren't provided so I bought one, but then one was in my unit when I opened it. Also I had asked about if I need to give a notice before I intend to vacate and they said I didn't, but then a sign inside the unit said I did need to do that. I was told I would qualify for a free month over the phone with a U-Haul employee and I made sure to call and make a reservation to make sure I qualified.
