Employee Jamyha Barnett was extremely rude and did not have any customer service skills. She was very unprofessional. Upon return of the uhaul I informed her the vehicle did not have any windshield washer fluid and I had to stop on several exits over the Donner pass to clean the windows until there was a gas station to buy some fluid, she replied with "oh well" and then proceeded to tell me she was charging me for the outside of the vehicle being dirty. I explained to her I have never been charged for the outside being dirty. She said directly to me that "I don't get paid to wash the trucks" I was speechless and informed her I would not pay for the outside being dirty. Another employee came over and told her that they do not charge for the outside being dirty. Jamyhra told him whatever. I proceeded to ask for a paper copy of the receipt which also seemed to be an issue for her. I promptly asked for Manager information and immediately left a voice-mail for Kaylah Ealy. I will never patronize this location based on this interaction with the staff.CARRIE J.

Location closed. Not clear about how to ensure my drop off would be logged on time despite the sign. Called the After-hours number and reached a VM. The entire experience was terrible. My initial Uhaul rental that was scheduled for Dixon, CA was cancelled without explanation. I called to find out the only truck available was in Sacramento; 45 minutes away. I picked up the truck in Sacramento and was told I could extend my rental if I needed to. However, when I called to extend the reservation the night before it was due, they said I couldn't extend and I would have to drop it off in Antelope on its due date. When I went to Antelope to drop it off, I found the location was closed. I called customer service and they said to just kneep the truck and they would take care of it on their end. They also said I could drop it off in Roseville the next day. The morning it was due, I signed into my account to confirm the location and it said I had to return the truck to Dixon. I chatted online with customer service, who said I would have to call scheduling, which I did, and they took care of it and said to drop it off in Roseville. I went to Roseville to drop it off and the employee mistakenly thought I had gotten into an accident with it, which she quickly discovered was an error on her part. Because of all of this, I won't use Uhaul again.Shawn W.
Great people working here, unfortunately we got sent here because the ORIGINAL location didn't have a truck ready for us despite us reserving one days in advance. It was called Danny's automotive in Folsom CA and he was an absolute rude and unpleasant person to deal with. Please don't ever work with this person.Joseph P.

When we called into UHAUL 800 number I was greeted by the worst customer service representative I have ever encountered. She was rude she told me that she would report the U-Haul truck stolen and I would be responsible for a fee of $5000 to $10,000. I feel that she was making fun of my situation because of my race. She hung up on me then I proceeded to call again into the U-Haul 800 number. From a different service representative I was able to extend my reservation and my problem was solved. The previous representative needs to be reprimanded.Richard P.
The gas guate did not reflect what the contract stated! I questioned it with the manger snd she told me that's how it reads .. now I'm charged gas being not at the same point I know it was! And also never got the key fir the brass lock had to go back after leaving the store to get a key beyond frustrating! I'm am only coming to U-Haul at this point because I have to !! Nothing realy I just had one problem when I got ready to leave my house I notice I had light out or something and saying tire was low I look and the tires seems find I did not want to drive it anymore so took it back to the uhaul on Broadway and got a different one , I didn't get a chance to put gas a in it they said it was okay. Lighting near unit 1042 is ran by sensors and would only stay on for a couple minutes then turn off. I would have to stop what I was doing and walk around the corner to turn back on sensor only to be in the dark again a couple minutes later.LUCY L. | Overall Experience

Rent here at your own risk! Almost died since they gave me a trailer with faulty brakes. Putting aside the employee who hooked up the trailer didn't know what they were doing and I had to tighten things down and rehook the safety lines. It doesn't look like they bother to inspect their equipment before it goes out. Did a 1 way and where I dropped it off, they said the trailer I had shouldve never gone out. Faulty brakes caused trailer sway... and when you have a fully loaded 6x12, trailer sway on a 6%+ down hill gives you pucker factor for sure. Any one who might not have experience towing would have wrecked for sure. After relaying this to corporate, they said they'd immediately have someone from the arden location reach out. No one bothered. Gave me a $50 credit on a $700+ rental without even acknowledging the situation. The message pretty much was, "yeah, we almost killed you. Here's $50. That's all your life us worth." Hard pass. Inspect your equipment and all connections if you're coming here. Come at your own risk it seems.Jason L.

I just didn’t like the fact that there was drug users around in the area and the restrooms weren’t clean as they should’ve been. Not that it’s anyone’s problem but I only used the storage for three days and I wish the Bill was split some how since I technically didn’t use for December much. They charge for dollies and other things when they should be free to use to customers who are paying money to either use the trucks vans etc or storage unit just another making tactic.DeVanay H. | Overall Experience

I went to one location in Natomas. Had a reservation for pick up but they didn't have one.? Well had one but needed repairs and rep didn't even look in computer when I spoke with her and made reservation. Awful customer service from asst manager. She was no help to hello that was helping me and went above and beyond for me. I would also love to speak to dist manager for this location it was that much a bad experience for me... Now the arden location was awesome once I was sent there to get my reservation..Linda H.
The truck fuel level was below empty on the gauge at pickup. The associate working stated â€œpeople steal our gas all of the timeâ€... So why are the reserved trucks not being checked the morning a customer is picking up? Also, the check oil light was on at pickup. Moving day is already stressful enough. Kayle was wonderful. she did make it easy. But I have another issue with another U Haul. We got Trucks with not one drop of gas. We were told we would get a $70 credit on each truck. Never happened!!! then the Second day with the second truck it started to rain and the truck Leaked. I cannot get any help. I was told that I would get my money back!! Not happening.!! I do not wish to go Thru all the stuff you go thru to get money for damages. I will accept the refund on my truck rentals and I will call it even. thank You so much ... I rented a 26 foot truck on 11/01/21. The gentleman who rented the truck to me told me that there was a leak on top of the gas tank and I shouldn't worry about it. Turns out after I put $150 worth of gasoline in the truck, I lost $80 worth of gas due to this leak. I trusted the gentleman at this location who rented me the car that this truck would be safe. I lost an over an hour for this truck to be fixed which took time from my move. I am very disappointed.Matthew S.

Dangerous condition: I picked up the truck with a half tan of fuel. Brought it to our office and loaded it up that night. Started driving the next morning and fuel amount was the same as the night before. Drove about 70 miles and filled with gas. There was a fairly large amount of fuel on the ground near full. It has seemed to be leaking from fuel neck. But once the pump stopped pumping it stopped. Like it was overflowing. But at that time it stopped leaking out. Drove to Southern California and then tried to fill again but again as it was filling gas was leaking out of the neck. Took to drop off location that was closed. Called them to leave a message but message recording was fill. Tried to call next morning but went to voice message and still full for messages. Called original pickup location and they said call 800 number. Called 800 number and was told to call roadside assistance. Explained again of issue. They said don't drive it and call roadside assistance. Again explaining the situation and the person was not understanding and continued to direct me to roadside assistance. After a lot of attempts to communicate the situation I finally gave up. You still have a dangerous situation. The filler neck was still leaking. Not sure of cause but this is dangerous and needs to be fixed.Richard C.

I reserved a 6x12 covered trailer at this location because it was the only one available in the area. Once reserved, I drove 30 minutes out of my way to this location in order to get the covered trailer. Once at the location, I was told the covered trailer was unavailable because it was "ghost equipment". I asked for the covered trailer because it was supposed to rain on that day, but the store manager stated again that I reserved "ghost equipment". I was left with no choice but to rent an open air trailer despite my prior reservation. The reservation was not honored and I was forced to drive nearly an hour out of my way in order to rent a trailer that I could have reserved close to my house. I would appreciate a call back or a refund for the cost of the open air trailer that I didn't want.MATTHEW B.

I had a reservation they couldn't find, the size I reserved was not available, way too small and the general manager kept telling me it was a 10x10x10 it most certainly was NOT. So of course I had to rent a larger space at a higher amount, what was I to do with a truck full of furniture sitting on the truck outside and a truck waiting to be returned. After getting the unit and learning the intricate entry system, I learned that all i had to do was swipe my card, which i was NOT given at the time i signed the lease, better communication and customer service could be implemented at this location, or perhaps Kaylah just needs more help.Kim H. | First Impressions

This storage facility is by far the best storage facility I have ever rented from. I am so pleased and comfortable knowing my things are safe and secure within the Arden Way Uhaul storage facility. While I was moving my things in at the facility, at least 3 or 4 times, somebody would set off the very loud, very painful to hear Siren Alarm that is set off any time a unit door is opened without having had the individual passcode that each unit lessee is given when you initially lease a unit there. It made me realize how secure the units are there. I've had my storage locker burglarized at 2 other storage facilities in the very recent past and now that I'm with uhaul, I feel safe and secure and that's worth every penny....William L. | Online Move In

I don’t know if the staff members normally show customers physically where their storage unit is. I had to go after work, so we got there right before closing and we only got a map of the storage facility. We needed a larger storage space which was not available, so we had to get a second storage space but with no discount. The unit numbers don’t seem to be in order, and when we took our things into storage we couldn’t find the unit and ended up spending a half hour looking for it. This was very confusing at first. I wish I'd rented storage inits from uhaul to be begin with. I have units in a place w/very long walks down hallways & I am disabled; also w/very limited access hours. Everything is great @ uhaul...i should have known.! Kind, friendly, helpful staff, great drive-up access & good accessibility hours. The young woman who assisted me was not only professional but she was extremely accommodating and thanks to her customer service abilities I will be renting an additional unit and extending my rentals longer than I had planned previously.if I had a business I definitely would recommend to my HR department to hire that young woman as my manager immediately because in my opinion she lacked nothing and took care of an intire line of people very professionally in spite of a few growing impatient and irritable.
