This comment has nothing to do with the location. It is about the company What is with this "eco fee"? I paid $5.00 If I buy a tire, TV, pop, etc I pay an eco fee which I dislike. However, renting a truck and paying this fee, WHY? I am not taking anything home! I am told its for your lights and heat. You have bought "eco" bulbs and an efficient furnace. Cute kid In office but she needs to read what she's saying to customers. Told me I was getting a deal said truck was at 3/8 was more like 3-16 and if I bring truck back at a quarter I get so much off my rental so all I was doing was filling it back up to 1/4 as it said on my contract got out to truck found no dolly or blankets in the back (luckily had my own) and mom's attic full of saw dust glad I didn't have that much stuff to go in over sized truck since I originally ordered a 10 foot that I couldn't get because dealer was not in ...Robert C.

I asked the cashier twice about the final price estimate and he told me that it'll be 84$ including taxes and i was charged a whopping 100$ for the van. The van was scheduled to be picked up at 1:30PM, but we got the keys by 1:40PM. Nobody gave us a tour of the vehicle and the fuel tank was already less than half. I need refund.Paarth B.

Too much waiting . Need more employee . Nobody answer on phone long wait. When take out vehicle nobody with check or show the old damage or show the inside condition. And same thing when return the vehicle. And after that they too busy to compete the job. They tell you we send you E-mail.when you recieve E-mail charge extra like cleaning fees . When you call them then they said sorry wrong charge. I don't like this service at all. When customer pick up and drop the vehicle . Our storage wasn't available on the day as booked. We were very upset and frustrated because we had given notice of moving out. However, there was a gentleman he allowed us to view a storage that was available, it was ok but smaller. He gave us a discount and apologize for the inconvenience. My only complaint is that the actual locker was very poorly lit. We went there during the day and couldn't see anything inside because the light source was outside the room. PIERSON (former MANAGER) made a verbal commitment to me and stated would put notes on file. However; Kulvinder (current manager) did not think it would be appropriate to call me prior to charging. Sahil; rep ensured me there would be no charge. I dont need a call back or any form of contact from Uhaul or its dealer partners. Kulwinder Rai has ZERO customer service skills. I used this locker for about 10 months. On the second month I missed a payment due to confusion of the date. 2 days later he wrote me an email threatening to auction my locker and wrote a very embarrassing and threatening letter to my nephew. 2DAYS. It was his very first communication. Of course I immediately corrected the mistake and was not late again. People make errors, his heavy handed approach and ignorance is completely uncalled for. I DO NOT RECOMMEND using this business. If you are unsure, look up all the comments about this guy on google under ratings and comments. We were sent to a different location bc no cube vans were available. The next place had no appliance dolly as per my request we were sent to a third location that did not have the appliance dolly. We took the cube van and went to a fourth location to pick up a appliance dolly. We phone 3 other location for the appliance dolly bc we had a fridge to pick up. It was an horrible long day driving around Surrey looking for what we had originally reserved a cube van with an appliance dolly to move a fridge. We were there at 10:15 am and it took us until 12:30 pm to be able to finally pickup our fridge.Francine P.
I made a reservation one month prior to needing a truck for a Langley pick up. It was scheduled for 7.15am, when we went to the original address it was closed and we had to wait for 45 minutes, they then gave us a truck with a leaking radiator which when we returned we then had to drive 40 minutes each way to a new location that stayed at first they did not have a truck for us which after 10 minutes was rectified. Due to terrible bookings and even worse equipment we were over 5 hours late for our planned move. I called uhaul to complain several times and was promised a call back within 48 hours, I received a one line text 74 hours later. This is not acceptable. I will never use uhaul again and I will tell everyone I speak to not to use them either.Lindsey S.

Reserved large storage box not available after all .. lock in door … mistake made somewhere.. so the staff were very kind to give me two small portable unitsBUT one unit was made of wood and so warped it took 2 men 15 minutes to bang, pound, kick , hammer and eventually force it shut! I couldn't believe what I was seeing! Now I am worried I won't be able to access it.. that my belongings are in a leaky unit. That I hv to move my stuff again and again .. I would hv gone elsewhere but I had to stay at 84th as I had a truck and my helpers leaving .. please get me a larger storage unit.. that closes.. and some help to transfer my belongings as now it i don't hv a truck not helpers :) :). I booked the 10 feet box truck in person at location for 1 pm - 7 pm on 30th Jan. Somehow, I was told when I went to collect the vehicle that my pick up time has been changed to 2 pm. After persuasion I managed to get my vehicle by 1:30 pm. I was also told in person that 19.95 CAD is for 24 hours and there will be no extra charges for late drop off as long as that it does not go to the next day. Surprisingly, when I had dropped my rental vehicle at the stipulated location at 8:30 pm, even with fuel bar higher than the initial one when I had hired the vehicle, I was charged 20 CAD extra for double booking, i.e. after 7 pm onwards to 8:30 pm. This leaves me with a feeling of being cheated and frustrated. When I had shared my recent experience with one of my friends, even he had the same experience of being charged double the amount than what was told to him initially. I think it would be better if all the charges are honestly told upfront rather than misleading which makes one feel trapped and disappointed. I reserved a 10 x 10 storage locker in August and was phoned by your staff in September if I could move in earlier which I couldnt. I was told if I couldnt book that day I would lose the locker. So I went in and booked a larger one. I called the day before i was to move in and was told the one I booked wasnt available and another 1 bedroom one was. I said it was fine if I was a one bedroom. I came with the truck and the locker was so small. I was told this is all they had. I asked if there was anything else and the gentleman found one on the other end of surrey. I was charged mileage. The other location is dirty has one elevator and 3 other people moving in. Im not impressed with the service at this location and will not recommend it or uhaul. First of all, I hope this is the only location that I had a bad experience with your service. I rented a unit, paid it and when it's time for me to put some stuffs in there, the unit was occupied, argued a bit, wasted time arguing to give us another unit, after 0ver 3 hours of dealing, gave us a new unit but we have to clean it ourselves and we were soaking wet from going in and out of the office. Please advise your staff to get off their phones when a truck is returned. Your employee did not seem interested in talking to me. When sending pictures for review be the same as what I'm renting. I had pictures with graffiti on the truck, but the truck I rented had no graffiti on it. Not very organized. I originally booked a 10x10 unit but later made adjustments to my reservation over the phone and was told I would be receiving access to a 10'x20' unit. When I arrived I was told it would be 10'x10', which negatively impacted my storage process. I gave them my credit card information so they can charge me automatically, but instead I received an email every month saying that I was late on my payment and I had to pay late fees. In order to fix it I had to go 35 minutes away from home to pay in person. On top of all that, when I retrieved my client's things from storage, the mattress (the most important thing in the storage unit) was wet and with mold. This is a reasonably priced, clean and convenient place to store belongings. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't like (and this a Uhaul in general, not this particular location) is the way that they bill. I took photos of numerous safety violations inside and outside the building. Pipe piles and sheet steel roofs laying by entrance doors to my building not marked and I know I brushed the pile of steel corrugated roofing laying on the ground and was injured on my leg is a result. The day I was set to move out of my locker the lights surrounding my locker would not work so I couldn't remove my items. Maintenance Man was rude to me when I talked to him in passing. He was mad because I didn't know I need one of U-Haul locks on my locker. Next time I came to place items in my locker there was a second lock on my locker door saying if you want to access your locker you must come to the office and pay $25 for the added lock or access won't be granted (I have a pic of the note he left). When I when't to pay for the new lock I had to wait 45 mins for the office staff to track down where the key was because nobody knew where it was.. The rows of roadway Inside the lot that surrounds the building were plugged up with u haul trucks, vans and trailers making it hard to get to your building because other renters had their cars parked blocking the road off entirely making you drive around looking for a way to exit . I've rented from other storage facilities and have never had any problems before. Wouldn't rent from that location again ever I'm not a hard person to please and not a grumpy person I'm 63 years old and am easy going but this place did make me a happy camper at all. When I rented the unit I told him that it would be for a month only.I picked up the stuff a day early.I told the lady in the office I was picking up my stuff and asked her if I needed to check out.She said no just go ahead.Four days after I picked up my stuff I got emailed a late notice so I had to make a special trip to go tell the guy that I picked up my stuff four days earlier.I probably need to use a storage unit in December and I am having second thoughts about using yours again.Dennis P. | Overall Experience

I had a hard time deciding on how to answer #'s 3 and 6 as I have not yet had a chance to explore your facility or actually move anything into my storage unit yet. The office area was clean and at first glance appeared to be well maintained. The parking situation and construction is less than ideal. In fact, I almost decided to go with PS Storage instead due to ease of approaching and parking at the office. I'm on the fence yet (due to my unfamiliarity with the location) if I would recommend this particular uhaul location to a friend, but I would recommend the Nordel location as I've rented trailers and vans from them in the past and have friends who are long time storage renters there. All the stuff inside was covered in drywall from the ceiling. Also small black remnants that look like mouse dropping on all my stuff. The top of the door frame is missing and when I told the staff about it, it never got repaired. There's no lights in the unit as well. The concrete walls weren't very clean and light was visible from the outside through the cracks on the wall. I would not go here again.joel david p. | Overall Experience
