It was a very quick drop off process that all took place in a couple of minutes while standing at the truck. I didn't have to go inside or stand in line. The employee helping me provided very good customer service.

My reservation got lost the the day of thankfully there was one truck left the size I requested 2 weeks prior. I asked about doing a walk around to talk about previous damage I was told they don’t do that anymore and that there was pictures of the truck and I had a email stating what was and was not wrong. The cashier ensured me it was better to have a beat up truck as they were less cautious about it being perfect. The next morning I was charged 320.00 because a apparently “hit a tree” I was told they had pictures and there was a branch on the top of the Uhaul. This was weird because I was in residential neighborhood the whole time. I explained this was not likely but willing to except I may have unknowingly hit a branch but I really doubted it. I asked if I could put the charges on my other card as I just moved money was right and really I do not think I hit anything. I was told he could not help me Of I wanted I could come in tomorrow to talk to the manager as he was out all day today. Overall it felt a bit like being robbed. I truly don’t think there were any branches anywhere I was and I just do not have time to go to Uhaul to dispute the whole thing. Moving is a time people are likely stressed and venerable In the past I have always related moving to Uhaulnow honestly I would never rent from there again. I don’t have an issue paying for something if I broke something “which I don’t think I did. This experience has left me feeling like that Uhaul shop is taking advantage of people. My guess is if you make up a charge here and there who would catch on it’s a one time thing to move so no repeat customer does not hurt them. Unsatisfied is how I feel in addition to hurt, taking advantage of and swindled. That was my experience

Vehicle was very dirty inside and out; it obviously had not been cleaned since the last customer. If it had, it was a really bad job.. First vehicle offered to me had a headlight out that they didn't know about and that I found on my own inspection. With the replacement vehicle, tire pressures were way off and I paid at an air pump to correct the deficiency. Engine oil was WAY overfilled' bad for engine life and fuel economy. Windshield wipers desperately needed replacing. During a rain at dusk, I could hardly see out the windshield due to wiper smearing. It didn't get any better the longer it rained. Safety issue: I was not told that there was a governor on the vehicle and that it would not exceed 75 mph. I discovered this while trying to pass a slow moving vehicle when the acceleration stopped. I was able to pass, but this information is critical to driver decision-making and it should be required to inform all vehicle renters. This is the second time I've rented from Uhaul, and neither experience has been good. Next time: Penske. They only cost a little bit more.

I declined the $10 extra insurance online and was still charged——while I was talking with a customer service representative about this charge, by the vehicle, as it was being turned in a mean cleaning lady showed up and she started using an air compressor that was so loud that there was a terrible ringing in my ears.....it was like she chose deliberately to the side of the car to start her cleaning with her air gun that was right by my ear as well as right by me and the attendant on duty trying to discuss the additional charge. this seems like passive aggressive, mean spirited behavior at worse and complete tactlessness and obliviousness at best and I do not appreciate it, nor will I recommend U-Haul to anyone I know when they can just as easily (like myself in the future) use Home Depot in the same capacity, it’s the same brand colors anyhow right? Totally furious and expect a call to address this further : 206-778-9708

The last two times I rented trucks there was an excessive wait time close to 30mins in my opinion that's unacceptable. I don't know why other than there was only one person behind the counter I have actually left and came back because there were 5 people waiting on trucks

I originally reserved a 17' truck, then changed it to the 15' because they said the 15' was available at the Clackamas location, whereas the 17' we would have had to pay more mileage and pick it up at 48th and Powell. When I reserved the 15' truck I was told to pick it up at the Clackamas location. When we went to pick it up they told us that we were to pick it up at the 48th and Powell location. This was very upsetting (the day before our wedding) because if I had known that we had to go out to Powell anyway, I would have just stuck with the original 17' foot truck. I expect a phone call from UHAUL with a resolution on how to fix this. At this point, in the future I will use other moving truck companies.

Online reservations system failed in this case. Our reservation was nowhere to be found when we went to pick up the truck.

When I originally booked my truck I reserved a 10' and when I got the the store I wanted to upgrade to the 15'. When I entered the store, there were three employee's and no other customers. They were too busy in their own personal conversation to acknowledge us standing in front of them needing help. Once they finally knowledge us, I still didn't get the help I needed. The clerk told me I had to upgrade the truck myself on my phone. This was after he asked a fellow employee if I(the customer) had to do it myself, and he was told NO, that he could do it on the computer for me (the customer). He refused. Doing the upgrade on my phone was difficult to navigate and read all the fine print. When I brought the truck back, I asked for a receipt and was told no, they had to email it to me. It was sent in a png file that I could not open on my phone. It was not until I got home that I saw I was charged for insurance I had previously decline and charged for a dolly I didn't use. Had the clerk done the upgrade and asked the questions, I believe I would not have been overcharged the 21.99. Further, the driver who the receipt is addressed to in not the one who reserved and paid for the truck, I am. I had rented a truck from a "u-haul" affiliate a month a go and got stellar customer service. I will not rent from direct dealer again. The customer service is horrible and don't appreciate being over charged.

The service was awesome. The vehicle a little messy, not that it’s an issue as I was using it for work, I just wouldn’t want to be liable for someone else and their mess. The truck was awesome though. Great gas mileage and perfect for my needs. I’ll be coming to this location repeatedly.

make sure gas tank is really full when customer picks it up. in my case when I picked up the truck the gauge needle was considerably below where it was when I refilled before returning it.

I had to wait a bit when I was picking up the trailer. But they were busy (looked under staffed). The employees were polite and apologetic so as long as they did that I had no issues with having to wait.

The staff at this location were first rate - friendly. Helpful, efficient, knowledgeable, but the store and location are too small. No parking and it was extremely hard to maneuver large U Haul in and out of.

When you give someone a truck with a 1/4 tank you sure a hell should tell them it’s a HuGE fine if comes back under a 1/4 tank. Unbelievable. Felling totally set up and ripped off. You are really setting folks up. Damn things should come full or at least half tank. I only drove some 12 miles.

Very hard to get in/out of location and parking when coming to the store. Would be nice to have full tank of gas when starting out and then fill back up versus trying to get the right amount at end of trip. Otherwise excellent!

The check in process was a mess as my truck which was scheduled and checked in online was buried. The associate was in a very bad mood clearly. Honestly just another typical, understaffed U-Haul experience.

To whom it may concern; My experience was great. As I walked in there was a gentleman waiting on the other side in the aisle. We kindly asked, "If he was next ? his reply was hey there's two lines if they get you your next." It was just a nice gesture. From that point to the registry. Getting the things I needed in a timely manner and very well-spoken individuals. The return back was even better. We didn't have to go in and, wait. Everything was done right there. I ended up even paying less than what I anticipated. So, right on you guys and, thank you very much. If I need to move again which I'm sure I will. I'm coming back to this spot. Thank you. You can disclose estimated taxes and "recovery" fees on the web site at the time of reservation. It is misleading to omit these extra costs, and not even mention them until the vehicle is being picked up.

Our trip was a complete disaster due to the condition of the u haul. The fully loaded u haul broke down when it overheated 11 miles from pick up location. We were stuck in rush hour traffic 3 1/2 hrs in the fast lane waiting for a mechanic. There was a u haul location in lake oswego 1/4 mile from our break down. We called the phone number the customer service rep that gave us the u haul had given us, as he told us to call him directly and our calls went to the main u haul call center in another state and we could not even get our call transferred to the location where we picked up the u haul. The call center folks had no idea about what your policies were to get a hotel or food, due to the breakdown and we were placed on hold for long periods and transferred to call center staff that knew nothing. We had to turn around and go back home. The mechanic promised the u haul was fixed and the next day we took off to California and the u haul overheated once again on the summit at Mt Ashland and we were stuck on the top of the mountain with no cell service and could not even call u haul for help. I won't ever rent another u haul again. We will be demanding reimbursement.

The people at this location are good, but the phone customer service for UHaul is terrible. I have been trying to contact someone for two days now and each time I've been put on hold for over 25 minutes before I have to give up because I'm either at work or on the road. Also, the vehicle I got smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. My clothes stunk of it by the time I returned. Still haven't gotten through to customer service or the location.

It clearly States that the plastic rentable boxes were to be cleaned prior to returning them, yet the boxes we rented were FILTHY and smelled of smoke. They still had a ton of stickers on the from the previous person's move. I would NOT recommend these to anyone

The contract stated that there was way more fuel in the vehicle than was in the tank making the "gallons needed to refuel" chart useless. The office couldn't print me out a contract due to "having no toner" for the printer. When I returned in the afternoon they still hadn't fixed problem. Normally this wouldn't have been an issue except I was helping out a non-profit organization and needed receipt to turn in for reimbursement. The equipment was clean and worked fine.

The web site froze (Firefox browser) when I was trying to input the name and license number of a second driver. So, one improvement would be to prevent that from happening. Also, the web site could be more clear about whether a 2nd licensed driver needs to be registered ahead of time, or not.

The equipment return area was completely jammed up by returned equipment. I had to drop the trailer by entering by the exit (Sunday evening). Not a huge deal but a bit awkward.

The truck that I ordered "wasn't available" so we were bumped up TWO truck sizes, which meant that we had to spend much more on gas- our total cost ended up being over $100 which is absolutely ridiculous.

The web portal and reservation system is pretty sophisticated and easy to use. But the pickup process became needlessly complicated and took over 45 minutes. The location staff were friendly, but initially unable to assist with mobile pickups, despite the delay being caused by issues at the location. We visited the lobby 4 times, waiting in line each time, to be directed back to the mobile pickup process. The process could be easier for customers if there were location staff dedicated as a liaison to the mobile pickups happening in the lot. Otherwise though, once issues were identified, staff were quick to fix and move process along in a friendly way. Same for drop off when the portal was not working for many customers.

The website does not indicate all the costs associated with renting a vehicle. Specifically, there was some county tax included which came as a surprise. It was about $6.00 added on to the $19.99 + $1.00 fee.

Caleb helped me avoid a disaster. I couldn't navigate the uHaul app that a customer service phone rep insisted I needed. My schedule changed that day and I needed a van sooner than my reserved time. Caleb was quick to assist me, explained everything in a thorough fool proof manner, and was even quite charming. He was exactly who I needed on my very stressful moving day. 10/10 would rent again if Caleb or someone with his qualifications could assist. Lose the uHaul app, it's terrible.

I was pretty upset to get a truck with "half a tank" of fuel. It is hard to return the truck with the exact fuel amount not being familiar with large tanks. SO I invariably brought the tank back with "3/4 tank" of fuel. I think that U-Haul owes me a credit of "1/4" tank especially with the cost of fuel these days. I pay $3.24 per gallon. Otherwise the rental process was fine. It does seem that I should have been renting for a 24 hour period. I didn't need it longer than the period indicated but what's the deal??? It was my first moving experience and will expect more next time. OH and it does NOT fit 3 comfortably in the front seat. I was in the middle with my knees up to my chin. It was awful for the 3 hour round trip ride.

I paid for a 15 foot, got a 10 foot, needless to say, I needed to make multiple trips. Took them over 20 min to remedy the problem when I brought the truck back. Made my already stressful moving 100x more stressful. What a joke. I will literally never use that location again.

Filthy vehicle. Do you ever wash the exterior of your vans? I wrecked cars 15 to 20 times per year and have never had a vehicle been given to me with 7/16 of a tank of gas except for U-Haul today. Much easier to fill the gas tank up when it’s full rather than some baloney half assed measurement. I put what I thought was the right amount of gas back in the vehicle still got charged an extra gas charge when I returned the vehicle. If you just filled the tank up to begin with there wouldn’t of been an issue.
