I rented a trailer. I told the person I had zero experience in trailers. I also mentioned I need to put my hitch ball on. I expressed concern if it was on right she said it look on to her. She put trailer on. When I tried to back it it was a nightmare. I saw my bumper was low but thought the load was uneven or too heavy for older truck. I turned it in early. I had been very careful with it. I was checked out and the guy checking me in asked how was it. I said a bad trailer . A lady came and started yelling at me said the tow bar was bent and she had checked it out and it was not. She was not the one who checked me out. She later lied and said she never said that. More people came . they accused me of hitting something or something i hitting it. I had after the first try at backing gone only forward and parked it on my lawn. I was told the problem was the hitch ball was too loose. I am now being charged 450 . I had been told the insurance would cover the thing even if totaled. I have probably 200 in damage to my bumper. I am a handicapped 67 year old. I made it clear on renting I was clueless on driving trailers and I also said I had to put the ball on since I got pulled over with it on. I had expressed concern if I had with my weak hands got it on tight enough. I feel I am being unfairly charged. I have a damaged truck. Plus I was accused of doing something I did not do. I am always very careful with rentals. Once I return my U Boxes I am done with you people. I do not appreciate being basically called a liar as I am an extremely honest person If I had damaged it I would speak up. It was totally disrespectful to a handicapped elder. And I do not like that the one lied. Frankly if I had not complained about the trailer I could have left. I was checked out. They unchecked me. I was concerned someone else would have an issue with it. I may post on social media . I made it clear I was clueless.Frances H.

There should be lean way as for check-in. I came to the location at 11:30, then left at 12 noon. I was told to check in at 11:30 am. I arrived at 11:55 , then was check out afternoon time. Why was I charged a whole day? Is this where you make your profit, when persons are not using the equipment?Gregory E.
Rented twice this week: once for a motorcycle pickup in Chowchilla,Ca & once for moving my bike from a repair shop after a fire. Made reservations on-line and was 2nd in line both times for pickup in less than 15 minutes from walk-in to hook-up and leave. Staff was pleasant and out-going. AAAA service both times. -GMMGordon M.

I had a really bad vehicle. Dirty, needed maintenance and beat up. With that said it looks to have been driven across country and dropped overnight which missed the check in. This experience was turned completely around by Owner Mark. I'll continue to come to this location, thanks Mark for the understanding.Eric C.

Super disappointed bc truck was rented at another facility but they did t have it even though the reservation was made weeks prior. Uhaul did nothing. I found a new truck at a different location. I had a horrible horrible experience. I was unable to drop off the Uhaul on time due to an emergency with my kids and could not call or contact anyone online to change the drop off date. I wanted to drop off the truck at 6:30pm or 7pm today(only one day later). Instead I made 5 calls, was transferred to Florida & Tennessee, 2 calls were dropped after transferring to the scheduling line. I used the online chat feature, only to get horrible service there too with a rude rep. In the end, I just dropped off the truck earlier than I intended, not wanting anymore of a headache. I probably won't be using you again. On-top of that, my receipt could not be printed because it kept printing in Spanish. The rep assured me that my email copy would be in English, it wasn't.Shanelle P.

Mobile check in process was a disaster. It took approx 30 minutes because my â€œalternateâ€ contact did not pick up the phone when the dispatch operator called. After that, they would no longer accept him as an alternate and I had to find a 3rd person to answer the phone so they could verify. Far too much work. Will look elsewhere next time.James V.

My reservation was changed and I was given up to 105 miles for travel and inconvenience plus an extra day. However, I didn't want to keep it long so I returned the truck the same day, and my updated contract didn't align with my new agreement so the employee told me I had went over the original reservation miles. I mean sure it was only $6 more to pay but if I wasn't someone who didn't have $6, it's an inconvenience if not devices are synced with the correct agreements: original, modified, updated etc.KAILANI L.
You changed my reservation I made 4 weeks prior without even notifying me properly. No phone call or voicemail, just a last minute email. Had I not. He led it or it gone to spam, I would be without the service I booked. Then, when I did finally get a truck it was a lot further than the one I had reserved. Nightmare!Joseph S.

Truck had no gas when picking it up they told me they would give me a discount if I brought it back at a quarter tank. Spent $113 for 30 miles, brought back a quarter tank and they only gave me a $20 credit, I didn't charge me for blankets I didn't even use.Daniel B.
Great place to rent a van. Always friendly and courteous. My only complaint is the side window on the passenger side of the van. The lettering on that window obstructs your view. I know there are mirrors but sometimes you need both. I feel this is very dangerous. GraciasKathryn P.

Uhaul staffs who delivered & picked up my uboxes are very friendly but customer service is very hard to reach. I was transferred multiple times to get to the right person. I was not notified when my uBoxes arrived in Sacramento so it was sitting there for over a week and we ended up paying for an extra month of storage.Mark M.

I arrived for my appointment at 7:30 am and they told me they didn't have my parts and it was my fault because I ordered them. Then they found them. They installed my hitch but not my receiver, wiring or pin. They didn't even include them. I just realized two days later I don't have all the stuff I paid for. I can't cLl them directly and when I called the uhaul number, I waited for 20 minutes on hold and then was hung up on.Patrick G.

No complaints about the vehicleâ€"very great condition, helped me out a lot. Poor communication from management. I drove 50 miles on the U-Haul, filled up the tank for what we used, and upon returning, was told I needed to fill the tank 20 + gallons or pay a fee. No previous communication was given for this expectation, and we were confused by the contract since the fuel was hardly a quarter full when we picked up the van. We calmly explained the situation to the manager and she audibly cursed, calling us/the situation â€œf*cking stupid.â€ One of the assistants helped us out, only charging us for the mileage. We were very thankful for her help and understanding. However, simply an unpleasant, unprofessional experience with the manager.Victoria M.
Ensure the vehicle is cleaned from the previous user. The vehicle consul was extremely dirty with spilled liquids and sticky stuff within the cupholders. There also appeared to be some sort of spilled substance on the floor board.Cynthia S.
