On top of being rude the employees kept changing what I would need to rent a trailer and every time they would change what I needed it would get more expensive, and when I went to return the trailer they were again rude and was rushing me saying they were already closed even though it was 6:45 and the sign shows that the store is open until 7.Tim H.

I will never rent from U-Haul again! First I went to the one on Hatcher and cave Creek Phoenix. They didn't have a truck when I had booked it online. So this guy sends me over to some remote location where there are no people to help you and you're supposed to use the mobile app to open the doors and it took me an hour and a half and I still couldn't get it open because the app wasn't working right and you have to download U-Haul on Play store and he never told me that so he was not knowledgeable at all which I do not appreciate because I am professional and I know my job. So then he sends me over to the i-17 and Dunlap U-Haul and the first things go okay and she tells me the manager that because I was so upset she would help me out and give me a little bit of a discount. Well when I go to the next day and turn it in and and check my checking account there was no discount at all. I am going to call corporate and complain about your employees lack of knowledge. And when you call the number you U-Haul number no one ever answers the phone! All in all it was a very frustrating experience and they had me driving all over town using gas that is $5 a gallon and it's money I don't have right now! Very poor service, poor customer service, lack of knowledge, no one answers the phone anywhere to help you figure out things. This is in Phoenix Arizona and I couldn't believe the uneducated people about their own jobs! And I will still call corporate and complain because I do not have to put up with that. You have a terrible company. No customer service whatsoever and I have worked customer service so I know what it is. I'm calling corporate because I want a refund for all my frustration. I can't believe you're still in business. As a matter of fact, I would appreciate it if you had a higher up or someone in corporate call me and talk to me about this and give me a refund because this experience was not worth it. Beth M. We ordered supplies online in advance. When we went to get our equipment and supplies not all supplies were present. They're unable to refund the money and said that they would not charge us for the truck. They charge full price for everything although we did not get everything we ordered very disappointed they could not keep their word.Michael B.
They were the worst! I started off on 19th qv.Peoria where they had 5.. I was told they had none.. she made me do an order with all my info & sent me through all of the construction traffic on Dunlap during the hottest part of the day & sent me 2 this location where they had only 1.. my rep played stupid with the computer for well over an hr before she finally got me out the door..she couldn't even figure out how 2 upload the email from the previous location.. how can a person who stares at a computer all day every day not know how how it works? Or was it a conflict in personality that drove them 2 f@ck with me? They are either incompetent or they were playing a joke either way they sucked for sure!!JAMES B.

The truck was fine clean and had amazing ac most importantly. The dash lit up like a Christmas tree and there was quite a bit of damage to the truck. Too few staff working at this location (long waits to be served), and manager who seemed disinterested in customer service. When I returned the truck, I had some boxes I also needed to return. The manager basically started helping me, the stopped to help two others. After waiting 10-15 minutes or her to continue helping us, it became obvious that she had no interest in completing our transaction. We left with the boxes which were thrown away. No very eco- friendly on Uhaul's part.Gary S.

My first impression with uHaul was the online reservation system. I did not like that I felt tricked into buying things. Every time I'd hit next, it would automatically add items to my cart. I had to go back and remove them as I didn't need extra supplies. I reserved a van for four hours, but since it was at 6pm, I needed to return it after it closed at 10pm. When I arrived, the staff was very nice. They told me to put the keys in the drop box when I returned. I was not told that I would be charged a $20 after hours fee, and that I needed to do a video checkin before I turned in the keys. I was charged an extra $20 for not doing the video check-in with GPS location enabled. I realized after I put the keys in the dropbox I received a text about it, but due to the circumstances requiring the truck (aka getting out of a potential domestic violence situation), I was not looking at my phone prior. My $19 van plus mileage in town for 4 hours quickly turned into $119. Plus I added $40 worth of gas. Also I might add, there were bucket seats in the van, not the bench I was used to. I didn't have a seat for the third person that went with me to help move furniture. If I recommend this to anyone, I would highly stress that they need to be aware of the unwanted upselling of uhaul.Shawna C.

Truck measurements should not include the part over the cab. I got a 15' truck gor a 12' table and it did not fit, because of the false sizing. Site was poorly staffed and it took a long time to check in the vehicle.Thomas B.

My initial rental was for a day. I needed 2 more days and each day I physically went in to extend the rental. The 3rd day however, the truck started to shake, the A.C. went out, and I had to stop doing what I was right in the middle of doing, and return the truck for another one, thinking it might not make it back, that was my only option. Well it made it back, then I had to shuffle a half loaded truck to another one, then try to make up for the time lost in doing all of this... I would like for Uhaul to consider all of that, which added to the total miles by like 60 miles give or take, and adjust my final bill, which I intend on paying in full tomarrow.. Thank you for your time into this matter. I would hope to be treated fairly because my statement is true and as accurate to the best of my knowledge..paul W.
When I got to the uhaul place gut behind the counter checking me in did really know what was going 1 thing they didn't have the truck I reserved so I had to setting for a smaller truck which cost me move for our movers I'm disabled so I had to finish my move myself and then going to charge me for being late which I think is ridiculous being its there fault in the first place.Robert M.

Was double charged 3 days after my truck rental experience which was already poor! Went to Uhaul on I-17 and Dunlap in Phoenix AZ. Turned the truck in early and a young girl calls me very unprofessionally i might add, and proceed to tell me how my truck was to be back at 4 and there was other people who had a reservations after me and I was to have the 10 ft truck back by now., howeverI turned the truck in 2 hours earlier at 2 pm. so when I tell get the truck number I had and the fact I'm still waiting in my receipt after the truck was to be sent via email. she just says â€œ oh I see it out frontâ€..oh ok..â€¦ WTF!!! , no I'm sorry or anything I felt like she called herself trying to check me when she didn't do her job correctly and just look up and out the window! Better yet the keys have the truck numbers on them!! Common sense goes a long way!.. if I was in my younger years I would have went j up there to discuss it face to face. Customer service has no online support and calls are always a 30-50 minute wait! Piss poor representation of Uhaul at best! -3 stars for this experience and to be overcharged let's see how long it take for me credit.. stay tuned!Tawanamie C.

We were told it would be $59.-- for 20 miles and we drove 17.8 miles and it ended up being $88.-- Also we get a call wondering where the truck was when we turned it in before the 6 hr mark. This was the worst experience my husband and I ever had. We reserved our equipment to be picked up and returned to the Goodyear location. We received an email that we had to pick up our equipment in Phoenix. When we got there they only had half of our equipment. They sent us back to Goodyear to pick up the other half. When it came time to return the equipment I had to return it to two different locations. They got our return dates messed up. This was the worst experience we ever had. The customer service I called was on hold for over 45 minutes after I explain to the young lady what my situation was she hung up on me .
