This particular location has very large units that are actually the boxes from 26 ft trucks anchored in. They're large and relatively inexpensive when compared to other storage facilities.

It was quick and went well in returning the truck.
Debra T.Was the worst experience ever until I finally got a truck, albeit smaller than I needed and ended up taking two trips to move, plus the use of a pickup truck for an additional two trips because I would have gone over the miles allotted. I first reserved a 15' truck at their Livernois & 7 Mile location, was guaranteed, then got a call the day before to let me know that the equipment would not be available. They then reserved me a 20' truck, guaranteed, at their Telegraph Rd & 8 Mile location. I went there at the appointment time, only to have them let me know there was not one available. She even had me wait there another hour in case the customer didn't show up for the one 20' truck they DID have on the property she would then let me have it, but the customer showed up and I was left with nothing. I asked what the guarantee is all about then, and they told me it was $50.00 to me if they did not have the equipment. Never saw the $50.00 for either failed reservation. She then refunded my prepaid contract amount. The following morning I called 1-800-GO-U-HAUL and pleaded my case that I was now in a pickle and HAD to move before the weekend otherwise I would be charged another month's rent if I wasn't out by Sunday night. They reserved me a 26' truck, guaranteed, at their Dort highway location (60 miles away from where i was moving from). I arrived there to find that once again, they did NOT have the equipment that was reserved!!! That was now three guaranteed reservations that were not honored, nor were their $50.00 guarantees. I explained to the manager, Josh, at the Dort Hwy location how I felt defeated, and everything that I had been through, from originally reserving a truck a week and a half early, to the now THREE failed reservations, and he let me know that he had a 15' truck available, but that I would have to return it to his store. By that time, the 60 miles I had to drive there to get it, and the 60 miles I would have to drive to return it, then the return trip to my new residence were all inconsequential as I finally got a truck to get me going. The high marks I've rated are ONLY for this specific location because the manager Josh was able to get me into a truck, otherwise, after this experience, I would never recommend UHaul to anyone. If I ever have to use your service again, it will only be through Josh's location, and working directly with him. Kudos to him for making something work for me, and shame on UHaul for failing 3 times in a row, with the same customer, and not backing any of the three guarantees.

I did not give that info to any one else in the last month, so the spam seems to be related to website I used to reserve the U-haul cargo van.

When I tried to leave the keys, the employee argued with me that I needed to go get the truck and pull it around to the building for them. So the application needs to be changed or the employees need to be trained on the procedure.

When rented told I would not be charged if returned by 7:00 am July 5. They did not even check in until july 8. Told me again.not back by 4:45pm, late by contract. Poor consideration and did give refund, still not in my checking. Will not come here again . I use u-haul a lot.

Susan C.when I scheduled my uhaul online, I was told the truck I wanted wasn't available at the location I wanted and that by proceeding with the booking, I agreed to be called by a uhaul representative. No representative ever called me. My location was changed without my consent, which led to me driving about 20 miles further than I would have. I feel I should be reimbursed for those miles, as I didn't agree to that location. I agreed to a PHONE CALL. that call never came.
