The truck had no gas in tank it should be full I won't be back unless you fix that I lost money because I had to put gas in it and I returned it with more gas than I had

Paul H.Both customer service agents were incredibly rude and unprofessional. They were unable to accommodate the vehicle I had reserved and refused to offer any sort of discount or make any effort to correct their mistake.
Angel R.We were told the tank was on 1/8 a tank and we would get a $54 credit if we brought it back at 1/4. When we received it it was actually on empty and we had to take it directly to the gas station down the street. We brought it back on 1/4 and they claimed we brought it back under 1/4 and only gave us a credit of $25 which was much less then I paid for the extra gas I put in it to begin with considering current prices. The worker was also visibly annoyed any time we interacted with him complaining to us about working alone and having no time to maintain the vehicles. The vehicle itself also seamed to be in bad condition and needed mechanical work. If this was not the only Uhaul in the area with these types of trucks available I would not return, nor would anyone. It's a known joke amongst locals here.
David L.First truck we were given was dirty and we found bed bugs in it. We declined truck. J&B rented us a larger truck for the same price as the one we reserved. When we returned the truck we were told we needed to take the truck to a different location because there wasn't room for the truck on his lot and on drop off location. We contracted to drop off at this location. Spoke to customer service who told them to take the truck. Truck was not checked in until the next day and only checked in after another call to customer service. It appeared that they were waiting to check the truck in after they could charge us for another day. We were also charged for 3 gallons of fuel after we put gas in the truck to bring it up to the amount that was in the truck when we picked it up. How did they decide we needed only 3 gallons of gas. Wonder if everyone is charged for a small amount of fuel to make more money? We only received our payment receipt after another call to customer service. We will not use U-Haul again.

Will G.I was charged the incorrect rate and still had had a dispute over rate after showing documents and explaining what had happened. Of course, it was not resolved in my favor or to my satisfaction. My truck battery was bad and uhaul would not authorize the first repair person to replace it. It would not start the next time I turned it off. I lost a day of travel and had constant fear of breakdown all day. I always had to wait 30 -60 minutes on hold any time I called for any reason, even roadside assistance, which I find unacceptable I returned all equipment a day early and thought I was done dealing with uhaul, when to my surprise I received an invoice the following day charging me for keeping the dolly an extra day. Again, I was on hold for 30 minutes. When moving and having a lot going on, spending entire days on the phone trying to resolve multiple issues is extremely frustrating. Needless to say, I will not use uhaul in the future.
dianne W.I would not recommend U-haul to anyone. I feel taken advantage of by the rates charged. I was charged for 4 days and 691 miles but only had the truck for less than 1 day and only 566 miles. The cost was outrageous for the product I received. The people were very friendly, and the service was excellent, but the rates were completely unacceptable.
Tom C.Don't give a yard (GMC) truck for a one-way. Cost was more than double the prior trip, and the truck was missing nearly all amenities (aux port, cruise control, etc.) and the air noise was almost unbearable.

Jonathan D.Website problem, not location problem: We originally selected to pick up from one location and drop off at another. On looking at the return info day-of usage, we discovered that we had to drive the van *all the way back to the original location*. I discussed with the (super helpful) employee at our original intended drop-off location (3322 B Morse Rd, Columbus, OH, 43231) and he explained that all Van rentals are required to be returned to the original pickup location, unlike truck rentals. So the website had, WITHOUT WARNING, defaulted our intended drop-off location back to the original pickup location. This was insanely unprofessional of the company to do without at the very least providing a warning that this would happen, let alone developing flows into the rental process which would prevent this from happening in the first place. Extremely dissatisfied with this experience from the Uhaul perspective, though we faced no issues with the involved franchises (and as mentioned above, even felt the employee at the Morse Rd location went above and beyond to help us).
Jacob N.Could have used help adjusting the mirrors. Used my own WD-40 to loosen the mirror rod to make the necessary changes. Attendant didn't know the tank capacity, but did look it up. Would have liked the attendant to walk the truck with me. Otherwise the interaction was polite.

I was in grove city, Ohio... nearest Uhaul was Georgesville rd, was on a time crunch, they sent me to west broad st 15 more minutes out of my way, didn't tell me what size ball was needed, had to run home to get correct ball, made me late. Wouldn't work with me at all... I will never rent from uhaul again.

I was told it was a way for them to verify that I was who I said and offers protection for Uhaul equipment. If I was going to run off with your equipment I would just get my additional contact to be part of the scam, also that contact has signed no agreement and shares NO legal or financial responsibility, so this ridiculous process does nothing other than capture another person so Uhaul can harass them with robo calls or spam. I will look elsewhere next time I need to rent equipment because of this BS policy!

Donald D.I reserved truck online & scheduled rental for truck share so I could pick up early. I arrived about 30 minutes early ( before facility was open) and was not able to complete the rental process because the truck was not set up for truck share early pick up. I had to wait for facility to open & then it was processed as a normal rental. What a waste of my time. Truck share sounds good but facility has to do their part for this to work especially if rental is scheduled for off hours.

TERESA P.This customer ordered a hitch to be placed on to a car. This customer paid the express fee. This customer was guaranteed that the part would be there two days later which was Monday. Due to personal circumstances, this client had to reschedule until Thursday. On Thursday morning, this customer received a phone call from the general manager at this location stating that they still did not have the part in. This manager then guaranteed that it would be in on Monday of the up coming week. This manager instructed the customer to come at 7a so that they could complete it. Upon arrival at 7:00a, this customer was AGAIN told that they did not have the part, and that they were going to making some phone calls. After going back and forth, this customer was granted a truck with a tow dolly for a cheaper rate. The truck was not cleaned and had multiple spots of food, drinks from the previous user, as well as, an odor from rotting food. This customer was also told that she would get a refund from the purchase of the hitch and express fee due to store error. This customer has not received said refund and it has been over a week.

HOESEY W.I liked the fact the Corporate is willing to go the extra mile for customers in offering a $50 guarantee of having the truck size I reserved. In the past that has not always been the case. The U-Haul location at 1428 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio was easy to locate, is very clean and professional looking, had my reservation and truck ready to go. The employees were very professional especially when I told the rep that the truck had less full in the tank than was noted on my pick sheet before I left the store. That was changed immediately. (Btw I always take a cell phone photo of the gas indicator and odometer before and after my rental period to insure accuracy and verify documentation.) I will definitely rent from this location again,
