The GM of location was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. He was only one person - when computer had glitches (happened both times I went in it backed things up). I rented 6x12 trailer to test drive before upcoming 15hr road trip moving from LA to FL - the condition of the trailer was unsettling- tires balding, dents on both sides, and rusty. I realize these vehicles get a lot of use but tires should at least look road worthy. It is not cheap to rent them so feeling safe on the road should be part of the transaction.Jill M.

It was the worst experience I've ever had made reservations the truck wasn't there ended up having to drive an additional hour and a half to pick up a truck an hour and a half back to my location and then all of the way to Magnolia Texas. Medical and then they screwed it up saying that I had to take it back to Shreveport Louisiana I stayed on the phone all day just to get them to fix it to where that I can drop it off here at my destination. That's how it was booked I have no idea how it got screwed up. I called the 1-800 U-Haul told me it would be about 15 minutes for me to hold they said that they would give me a call back and I got a call back maybe 6 hours later after I had already straightened it out calling the Shreveport hub of the U-Haul the service absolutely suckedPamela S.
The card reader did not work, which meant checkout to longer than it should have. The gentleman helping us was more than knowledgeable on what to do, but checkout could have been much quicker with a working card reader.Keysha C.

Person at check out counter showed no concern on waiting on me. I was the only customer there and he was more concerned with putting a tag around his neck and fixing his collar. Watched me enter the building and he walked to back room . Waited over 10 min before he came back out. Over all experience very poor at check out. Told me to drive around to pick up trailer. The trailer he pointed out the wiring was all cut and hanging. Took another trailer it was fine. At check in I was greeted by a very nice guy and very personable. What a huge difference. The check in didn't match up as the person in Shreveport didn't correct any of the info on the trailer I actually took. Check in was awesome and pick up was HORRIBLE took over 45 min . I have been trying to call customer service since Friday to complain about the service I received from UHaul. I will NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN. The manager at the location did not have the truck I requested. I compromised and accepted a smaller truck. Then, I requested a drop off truck when I called to change my initial service request. They did not have note of it. So I spent an extra $300 I did not have to bring back a truck, which my 60 year old mother had to end up doing because of the store managers rude and confrontational demeanor. If we did not have movers planned, we would have walked out. He got our order wrong and had the audacity to charge us nearly $300 more to bring back the truck 2 1/2 hours. The worst service ever and we (and our friends and family) will never again use. I will be making a more detailed BBB complaint and write a more formal letter of complaintSylvia G.

Could not use 24hr return online. There was a glitch that would not let me put the initial mileage in. It took 1hr and 45 minutes before I finally got a representative on the line to verify my return. And it still doesn't reflect me turning the truck in the same day.Kimberly G.
Since I had to go to 3 different locations to pick up the things I needed I had 3 different orders. When I arrived at the turn in location I was told he could take the truck and the pads but I had to return the dolly down the road about 1/2 a mile because he couldn't accept it there? Why not? He didn't know what to do for me so I had him cancel the return and I took it down to the other location U-Haul at Barksdale and returned everything. The person running this ace was so understanding and professional. He listened and was able to take care or everything. Very professional. I only wish my pickup and 1st return location i tried were this helpful. He should be a double bonus!JOHN L.

Please make sure trucks are available if one U-Haul is requesting a truck because they don't have one for customer for whatever reason. Payment should be discussed with customer afterwards for drop off. Too many problems with taking money for nothing.Celia W.
I scheduled my pickup at a closer location via mobile check in. My location and check in was changed, and I was not notified by U-Haul of these changes. When I spoke to the representative, he said "we were busy yesterday". Poor customer service, zero communication regarding changes. I had to drive further, making me have to pay more for miles.
