Good service
karri kesavaLocation was supposed to open at 9. The two employees working the front came SPEEDING into the and through the lot and then opened the door at 9:17 am. They (he & she) looked like they just woke up and barely made it in to work. I was 2nd in line. I got assigned a truck and went out to get it and there was another truck in front of it. I took a photograph of the offending truck's plate and took it inside. My rep said he would come out and move it. After about 5 minutes, he came out walking at a VERY RELAXED PACE and realized the two keys he brought were wrong. He then walked back into the office again at a VERY RELAXED PACE to get the correct key. I left the uhaul location at 9:39!!!! I was scheduled for a 9am pickup and it took me FORTY minutes to pick up my truck. NOT ACCEPTABLE. I normally use the uhaul in Auburn, WA on frontage road. I used this location in Renton on 4th St today because it was in my circle of work today. BIG MISTAKE. The location I used today was a WORLD of difference from the Auburn, WA Frontage Road location. I will NEVER use this location at 3131 NE 4th St again. The lack of service and professionalism is not worth saving the extra miles.uhaul of Auburn on Frontage road is THE uhaul place to go!!!
Garrett BradySlow to get the truck, and had to go find someone to give th keys to
Ethan HallCan't improve anything. Every one was wonderful.
Taelene KnightGreat staff, super helpful and professional down to the last detail. 5 star in every way!
James MontaneyI was charged a cleaning fee for a smoke smell that I mentioned upon receiving the truck. I was also charged for an extra 30 miles I never drove. I've contacted the manager and if this isn't satisfactory I'll be contacting corporate, this is ridiculous.
Sam BrownFriendly service and good overall
JESUS REYESThe padlock that locked the back accordion truck door didn’t work well. We figured out how to make it lock after a lot of attempts. One has to use the key to engage the inner barrel to lock it. When I returned the truck the UHaul rep said he needed to fix it but it was okay to drive it without having it locked. Also, I wanted to fill the tank back to the level I left the lot with. On the UHaul web site it states under “Pick the right truck for your move” the following statement - “For example, the 26-foot truck can hold up enough belongings for a 3-4 bedroom house. Roughly all U-Haul trucks will get around 10-12 mpg so sizing up or down on a box truck won’t impact the gas mileage much. For small jobs and in-town moves, pickup trucks and cargo van rentals are a great option. Both options average 18 miles per gallon with class-leading fuel efficiency.” TOTALLY NOT TRUE. I drove 72 miles and I put around 5 gallons back in the tank for the 15’ truck I rented and the gauge hardly moved. I returned the truck and the UHaul rep said he was going to have to charge me an additional $15 for not returning the truck back to the fuel level I left the lot with. I showed him a photo of the fuel gauge level when I left the lot and my gas receipt and told him the gauge didn’t move hardly after I put in 5 gallons. I told him that the UHaul web site that I should be getting around 10-12 gallons. He said he had never seen that advertised on the web site. He then told me that when trucks like the one I have no longer do cross-country drives and aren’t getting the gas mileage they used to, they use them for short distance jobs because they will only get 6-7 mph. (!!). I said the UHaul rep did not tell me this before I left the lot yesterday. I told him I would go and put another two gallons in the truck and come back then instead of being charged an extra $15. So I went a block down the street and put another two gallons in for another $9.00 and the fuel gauge didn’t move. I called the UHaul rep from the gas station and he said to bring the receipt and he would call it good. So this 142,000 mile truck has a faulty fuel gauge in my opinion. Either that, this aspect of the rental is a scam. And there is false advertising on the main UHaul web site stating all trucks will get around 10-12 mph when in reality it is about half. And the reps aren’t apologetic about but make you feel like “that’s the way it is.” Don’t know if this review will make any difference but I took the time to text this all out in hopes others will be aware of the important issue before renting from UHaul.
christina grahamCheck for leaks in the cargo area more frequently and check the lights before renting.
Evan GreerFast friendly service
Kristal WightWhen someone drops a vehicle at a different location they shouldn’t have to pay extra because of it!
KATHLEEN MARIE STUDDIEFriendly, great service. This is my favorite uhaul location in SE king county. Only recommendation would be to let people renting know the Renton transfer station won't let trailers come due to length requirements. They are ridiculous! Thank you for having great staff.
Nathan PopovichEntered premises and requested a truck rental and a vehicle dolly- was informed that there were no equipment available and after asking if I can rent the truck onsite and the dolly elsewhere, was informed that it would not be possible. I was then placed on a national reservation and would be contacted about the available rentals. I was shortly contacted and informed that I could rent the truck onsite, apparently the associate did not want to rent the truck to me and was displeased when I informed her that I was instructed to return and rent the truck with her, even though she had previously informed me that she couldn’t and didn’t have a truck available. Racism and ignorance make a terrible duo.
Benito LevarioThe steering and transmission both have issues on this truck. On the way to return it I wasn’t even sure it was going to make it
Amanda CaritaVery quick, easy, efficient, and cost effective.
Marissa McgrathExcellent service!
Zakk RoseAs usual, the experience at Renton Highlands very easy, very friendly, and very fast.
Joseph Michelettisending a receipt via email would have been good as had to go back to receive one showing the return.
Lynette RoweThe van was very difficult (honestly, painful) to drive because of my height. Some kind of warning when booking that these vans are poorly suited to people 5'6" and above because of the extremely limited drivers legroom would've been appreciated.
Lauralanathalasa McQuadeJust need personnel to be not so serious looking, have a sense of humor.
Gina Mina-NealThis had always been my opinion of Uhaul... Make fuel easy. Give the truck to the customer full, so all you have to do is return it full. It's dumb making people guess how many gallons brings them to the right level. And it's uncool to essentially steal gas from your customer if they overfuel. Unless it's compensated at the same rate you would charge. Full tanks upon rental would make this easy. If you have to charge someone, you can show exactly at the pump how many gallons it took to refuel for them. If the customer does the right thing, filling up it's easy. The pump tells you when it's full. Make this smarter by making it simpler.
Ryan SundbyThe self return process was far too long and arduous . Why couldn’t there be someone available to manage the returns? Taking all the pictures and uploading was a pain and took far too long . Nothing easy and convenient doing someone else’s job !
John Breitenbach-PatchEverything went quickly and easily.
Dorota PikulaGood
Elder NolascoThe employee lied to me, would not attach the auto transport I had reserved and caused me to have to go out of my way to get the auto transport.
Shawn AndersonEverything was Great
Elder NolascoI drove your truck under 3 miles and she charged me for 2 gallons of gas because you guys did not check the gas mileage from the previous person dropping it off. I don’t care if you sent me a text message you sent a message with a bunch of advertisement crap in it, so I ignored it, but you can clearly see I drove 3 miles How in the hell can you justify charging me $11 for 2 gallons of gas and I had the truck literally for a half an hour total bullshit I will go to your competitor from now on and I have used you guys a lot in the past I’m done you won’t see me renting from you ever again
Janie LanphereI went to pick up the vehicle twice at the maple valley location and both times the truck wasn’t ready - the first time the truck was missing plates and the second time I was told the truck would have have temp plates so I went back the next morning and the truck was deemed not rentable. I then had to drive twenty minutes to another location. I’ve been renting from Uhaul for the past few months and this was a very frustrating experience.
Aaron BoyleYour employees are doing their best, but they need help. I get that labor costs suck, especially in western Washington, but I know this place would run much more efficiently if there was someone in the yard to help the person in the office. She can’t just leave a line of customers to go hitch a trailer.
Jared KiessVery professional! I was checked in, hooked up and on my way very quickly!
Gary AndersonGreat customer service the one with the braces was pretty hot and made it easy to be in and out of that place
Alexander KnouseKeep doing what you do! Installer reached out to me before I got there to explain a wiring issue. Saved me over $300. Great customer service.
Scott SensenbrennerThe windshield wiper flew off while I was driving and the door was broken… the door looked cut opened
Fabiola GomezThis location did well, however, I originally had my order at Bellevue, WA, Lake Hills Chevron. The trailer they had did not work due to faulty lights and this meant they couldn't actually rent me the trailer. No mention from either location with regards to the $50 payable guarantee for not being able to rent me the equipment as confirmed. Don't offer something that you won't be actually honoring in the end.
JAY RedfernStaff very helpful and friendly
Cristy DentonMy favorite location. Staff is friendly and equipment well taken care of.
Patrick LarsonVery nice young man at my drop, pay him more
Mikel MarchantGreat, and fast service.
LUCRECIA BOWLEYHeadlights dirty. First time rental. Could not follow instructions because brought back truck after hours and could not log into internet to download pictures. Fortunately your employee completed invoice the next day.
Francis SchwartzThe young lady was kind and helped me back trailer.
Paula RoyceHad plenty of space to park truck
ROSS HARDYGood experience
Didier RUEGSEGGERExcelente personal
Julio VasquezTrucks are pretty meh, not great but not the worst trucks I've ever used. Last time I went to this location it was an awful experience. This time it was much better, the employee, I think her name was Mackenyz or something like that. She was great and very helpful.
PATRICK BOYLEMackenzie was wonderful to work with, easy process and pickup and easy drop off, she deserves a good raise.
Iyad ShahwanThe gentleman who helped me out was very kind and accommodating to ensure I had the best possible experience. I also appreciated the flexibility to return the truck overnight after close.
Alicia MorenoApp sucks. Mobile pickup was more pain than it was worth. Staff at this location were not really helpful
Andrew EissingThe manager was very helpful and went out of her way to assist me when I was having problems.
Matthew BurtonI've been here twice now, a couple of years apart but the issue of getting assigned a truck that is blocked by several others is always the same.
Danielle TurnerGirl at front counter stated the overall height of the van at just over 15' which was not only incorrect but illegal . It's actually 11ft. Tall. Also stated we didn't need to buy a lock because one was already on it. Also not true- no lock . She also stated it had cruise control which it did not. Gas was also just below half but said it was at half.
david rupeiksFirst of all, the equipment that they told me to initially take was in the back so I couldn't take it out. I walked all the way to the equipment in the pouring rain, found out that I couldn't take the equipment out. Went back to the office in the pouring rain to tell them that it can't be taken out because it's in the back. She gave me the key to a different one and the van was dirty. There was dirt and mud all over the outside and the inside. So, in the rain again, I went back in to tell them that it was dirty. They took it to clean it. They only wiped down the floor of the car and nowhere else. The seats were covered in hair and other stuff, I don't even know what it is...white stuff everywhere on the seats. Also, we were moving and the back of the truck where we load was dirty too. I believe on the agreement; it says to bring back the equipment in a clean state. So, I assumed that when I receive the equipment, that it would be clean. I was disgusted and very disappointed.
Hyong Yun KimNegligence, followed by a phenomenally unprofessional response. I picked up a trailer for the weekend. Team member told me I was good to go. I was, in fact, not good to go. Turned out of the shop and watched the trailer doors swing open. So I pulled over, secured them, and went about my day. Called the next day to touch base with the manager about that. Not to get any one in trouble, not to cause any strife. But to indicate that this is something missed by the employees there. First words out of her mouth was something about a contract? Not even worried about me. Not acknowledging that this is a major safety issue. But a contract. Pretty cold and heartless folks there. Don't care one bit. The team member is supposed to do the walk around WITH me. In what world can the team member essentially lie to me about being "good to go" only then to try and weasel out of it behind a piece of paper? I'm never touching uhaul again after that one.
Christopher DoughertyThe U-Haul app was not working well. The in store agent was very helpful and excellent.
Andrew RosenkranzThis team went above and beyond in helping me unload my trailer and later dropping off the truck. I would highly recommend this team! Excellent service from some very friendly, caring team members!
Emily PitkaThere was one younger gal there doing all the work, and the other employees were in the back. She was parking all the trucks that had been returned and delivering my little trailer and attaching it.
Marcel DolakYes, I liked that Uhaul had one way service. I was told by friends that you didn’t. I looked for myself and saw online that you did have the service. I looked further to see how it worked. My wife and I are satisfied with our Uhaul service.
Rae LantsbergerI had turned the truck in a day early but knew I had exceeded my mileage hoping the extra two days would round up the mileage. Not sure how mileage is calculated but we drove the short route avoiding snow, actually got stuck one day freeway was closed had to reroute. Driving from SC to AZ and then to Wa is fairly straightforward.
Tammy ReinhartWe had a Great experience from the beginning to the end! It was a easy process of setting up our truck online and the easy check in preparation! The truck was just perfect for our move! Thanks Uhaul couldn't of done the move without you guys!
