Pick up was quick and easy. After hours drop off was “sketchy” due to the many folks clearly under the influence roaming around streets and alleys adjacent to U-Haul location.

DAVID KPerson doing intake of rental equipment return was great. Mentioned the issue where the person hooking up the trailer didn’t mention anything about safety or how to lock the trailer doors correctly, as I had someone motion to me while on the interstate that there was an issue. He seemed surprised that the attendant at the rental location did not give any safety tips or locking instructions. You should also add the “were the personnel helpful?” Question to the pick-up location survey as you do with the drop-off.

BARBARA CWhen I arrived at the Saviers Rd. location in Oxnard, they had NO RECORD OF MY RESERVATION I had made online a few days before. Fortunately they rented me a cargo van. I had a problem bringing the gas level to 7/8 full. It took 4 different attempts at the pump to get it right, and when I finished I had put over 7/8 in. The employees at Saviers Rd. were polite and helpful.

Ashraf HI had a 15' truck scheduled to be picked up in the morning. I was informed after my scheduled pick up time that my truck was damaged and that if I wanted to keep the same size truck, I needed to go to a different location (different town). Their screw up, they won't allow me to drop off the truck at the location I originally wanted to use, since it was just down the street from me. Instead of using the truck for ~10 miles, I ended up using it for 37 miles, to which I still had to pay the mileage fee. Then the truck was given to me with a 1/4 tank of fuel.

Dutch DWiFi didn’t work and had to go to a McDonald’s to call to turn in trailer. Having to upload 5 pictures with garbage service makes it impossible to turn in after hours.
christopher sTruck was dirty inside and out it had bugs on windshield smears from wipers, cup holders had what looked like milk rings in them. Check engine light was on. Truck wasn't sounding right. Since we rented for a long haul I would have thought they would have made sure the truck was in good running order. The employee didn't check truck out with us for dents scratches etc. , he just pointed from about 20 feet away and said that's your truck. 2 Days before moving day I got a phone call telling me I had to pick the truck up in the next town over, which set us back an hour. Why even setup a reservation just to have it changed to another town? I have never been given this kind of service at U-haul before.
Julianna sHonestly the employees in Oxnard were great. It was a great experience in store and the worker even hooked up and chained down the trailer to my truck for me along with testing the lights. didn’t even have a reservation because it was a last minute moving opportunity and it went smoothly thanks to Uhaul. I would say Uhaul in general should drop there prices down. I rented a 5x8 inclosed trailer and it cost me $717 dollars to move from Oxnard California to Caldwell Idaho. Which is crazy because it’s unlimited miles and 5 days before you have to turn it in. It should be a one flat rate of maybe 200 dollars or I can see them charging 717 for the 5 days but get reimbursed if you turn it in the next day. Overall though it was great.
