The location and customer service were excellent. The truck was clean, as I had a flat tire, I don't if the equipment was well maintained. The tire repair company can explain if the tread was weak and split, or what caused the flat.

Bryan BCargo Van had low tire pressure and an empty tank. The staff did not disclose important information about verifying the condition of the equipment before using it. I put gas in the vehicle and when i returned it with an 1/8th of the tank filled, they proceeded to charge me a bunch of fees which came out to double the estimate because I didn't return it with 1/4 of the tank filled. I had to contact customer support and the help ticket is an ongoing case. I don't know if I will get my money back. Ridiculous.

juan aYour system was down for over 1 hour today. I showed up today at your Hollywood Boulevard location Store #712024 at approximately 9:50am to pick up my van at 10am. And I did not end up leaving until 11:15. Completely unacceptable. There were dozens of other customers waiting as well. Sandra, Marcos, and Supy did the best that they could to help the customers waiting, but it is your system that ruined everything. I expect to receive the at least $50 reservation guarantee fee refunded back to my bill. If not something in addition to that.

Tauvia AI reserved a 15 ft truck. 2 days prior I was told there is a 10ft truck with trailer which won't fit everything. It's not the same capacity as 15ft truck. Then I was offered 26ft truck which is way too big and double the price if you factor in the extra gas to drive this heavy truck. No I would not recommend uhaul.
Be KYou failed to inform me that bringing the vehicle back with any lower than a quarter tank would incur a $50 service charge. Especially since, conveniently, the truck that was given to me, was basically exactly at a quarter tank full. The difference was negligible and not apparent to the naked eye. So, on top of not being notified initially, and giving me a car that was set up to encourage an additional charge, I would say my experience was very unpleasant.

PREECHA TIt has been 3 days and I still have not gotten a final receipt from them. I filled up the tank with more gas than I originally got it at (which was originally barely enough gas to get 20 miles) and I walked in handed the keys for return to Benjamin and the other employee at the desk who checked me in just 3 hours before. They said thanks and receipt is coming- didnt come out front to walk the car with me or check it back in at all. Then I got a phone call the next morning from those same employees telling me my rental was late- I said “No I returned this vehicle yesterday afternoon and handed the keys directly to you“. I read the name and equipment number to the man on the phone to which he replied “oh yes we have the keys here actually so I will remove the late fee and send the receipt now” That was yesterday and I still do not have a receipt yet I have a second pending charge on my credit card from uhaul with extra charges. This is a very alarming way to do business where I handed them the keys and asked to check the vehicle back in and they both just said ‘okay we have it’ then the next day they didn’t know they were in possession of the vehicle? I parked it right out front of the door in the que for the cleaning area so its not like I parked it somewhere they couldnt find. The whole thing is beyond alarming and given this experience I dont know if I would ever use this Uhaul ever again which is a shame because its very close to my house nor would I recommend it. I will also have to fight these extra credit card charges if they do not send a final receipt to explain what an additional $50 charge is for when I already paid the $70 I had signed and agreed to initially.. If I filled up the tank, didn't go over mileage, didn't have any damage and returned the vehicle within 3 hours Im confused what an additional $50 charge would be for.

Magli GLocation felt unsafe. There were homeless wandering near the vehicles, and some guys ran towards me saying they could help me rent a vehicle. But they were not UHaul affiliates.

juan pRental 10’ truck was falling apart. Depot maintenance needs to improve. The sun visor fell off, the air vent fell out, the lighting switch slipped into the dash board, and the tpms sensor was constantly on.
John THorrible experience from start to finish, long line despite checking on line, no instructions at all, no check in of the vehicle, and also my billing has been increased for gas despite me bringing higher gas level to when I took the car. U-Haul sucks !! I would never recommend U-Haul to a friend

Jonas MThere was a long wait to process reservations due to two employees not helping to relieve the stress placed on the one employee who was processing the reservations. The employee who assisted me kept staring at the computer screen without communicating what the holdup was. When I asked why it was taking so long, he mentioned the system is down. I was unable to check in online as well. I waited for 40 minutes for my reservation to be processed.

Ryan CTruck’s driver cabin was dirty. Wheel and seatbelt was sticky. There were 2 ladies at the counter. I dont remember their names but if you are able to provide i can tell the name. I remember her face. (Who did my process) was very RUDE.

They’re vehicles are great and they are helpful, but this time the person checking in my vehicle when I returned it threw some of my stuff that was in the cab on the ground like it was trash. I told him it was my stuff, but no response. Just seemed needlessly rude and disrespectful.
GATES BYour price for the trailer went from ~$680 from Oct-Nov and jumped to $1099 in January. I feel like I was price gouged for it to almost double.
John VThe customer service at the end of my rental was bad, I was waiting to be check out but the employee never told me anything that I was already set and ready to leave and again I was waiting until I asked if I can go and finally he told me that I suppose to get an email but I din't know about it.

I have worked a lot of customer service jobs, and I know it can be difficult to maintain a good attitude when customers are stressed and in a hurry. Everybody at this location was exemplary in their service and they made my move much, much easier.

Matthew RThe staff (Oscar, I believe) was very kind an was doing the best he could; it was packed and he was the only person working there. My van clearly had the gas siphoned out of it while parked on the lot, and I almost didn't make it to the gas station to fill up. There was a broken brake light that made the van technically illegal to drive.
Benjamin BThe gas was siphoned so when I got the car it was immediately running on empty. I had to get gas before I even left. There also were not enough people working at the location and it took me 35 minutes to check in.
Benjamin HThe staff was helpful and generally friendly but seemed a bit at a loss as the app wasn’t working well for completing the pickup process. This took some time and after canceling (or trying)” to cancel) the reservation on tha app, then re-doing the process, I was running behind schedule. Then the van was completely on empty when I got in. I asked if there was a van without the gas light on, they replied “no, people steal the gas at night”… I had to drive off with the tank completely empty and hope I made it to the gas station! Again, putting me more behind. After all of that, I ended up licking the key in (later that night) and because the app had not worked, I couldn’t retrieve my reservation there to get assistance. I had to call a 24 hour locksmith to open the van for $250. That was of course, my fault but since I got the coverage on the van, was hoping there was some kind of emergency assistance available… Again, the staff were good there, main grievances were with the app and van being totally on empty and basically being told that there was no better options.

Peyton Rcustomer service was really bad. had to wait 30 minutes to speak to someone after one employee told me he had to eat lunch and couldn’t help me. when an employee finally did help me i could barley here him as he was mumbling the whole time and then took a phone call on speaker phone while talking to me at the same time.

ALLISON BDon’t send vehicles out with only a 1/4 of a tank of gas in the tank. And if the tank gauge sticks on an 1/8 of a tank when refueling, causing an over fill when it jumps to 1/2 tank, be prepared to credit your customer without making them return the following day to speak with the manager. Or at least make it possible to deal with it over the phone. Repeat client here. Awaiting the outcome on this issue to see if I’ll keep coming back for my hauling needs. -Roger

Daniela GThe van I was given was an older model and the air-conditioning did not work. When I picked it up, the gas tank was completely empty. They said this was due to people siphoning the gas from their vans overnight and it was a recurring problem, but clearly they’ve clearly taken no action to work against this. The representative was at least apologetic, but not a great experience overall.
