The truck fails miserably it was a gas guzzler. It inhaled gas at the rate of 1.5 miles per gallon. Would not recommend using one of theses trucks again!

Well the experience I have had with U-Haul have been great I recommend to my family and they use U-Haul one time I went st a busy time on cermak and Cicero and they help me to make reservations for U-Haul on pulaski that was great so I don't know what need to be improved I like the business

I tried the mobile return for the first time because I thought it would save time. But it actually took way too long due to technical difficulties. Ie, internet connection, dead battery, etc. In the end I was unable to confirm return. The page never loaded. It was too stressful.

When returning equipment after hours, the process is very difficult for people like me that don't have a SMART PHONE! This process should be changed. couldn't find any thing on my laptop either. I called customer service and talked to Sheria and she made my day!

I reserved a small truck and ended up getting double booked day of my moving. Unfortunately I had to wait till 3pm to rent a van, which turned out ok. It was raining when I dropped off the van and with all theses pictures that were requested made me a little agitated with my phone getting wet. Other then that The van was cleaned and smooth.

I have used U-Haul trucks a number of times and this is the first time I got scammed. I moved thirty boxes of household items, a bed, a kitchen table and a dresser, and on returning the vehicle was told i left drywall dust on the bed of the truck and was charged an extra $25.00 to clean it up. Upon receiving the bill I inspected the truck with the manager and it was observed that there was a little grit on the floor that had been there at the inception of the rental but which I thought nothing much about as it didn't impact my moving in the slightest. If this residue -possibly from previous customer- is considered intolerable why was it not cleaned up before I rented? I don't care so much about the unjustly inflated bill as the sour feeling form knowing I was totally taken. If you have to use this U-Haul franchise check everything about the rental, even if it means getting in the back of a truck and checking if there is anything at all underfoot. Better still, simply avoid this place.

This was the worst experience ever. I reserved a 17 in truck for pick up 8:00am on Saturday for 24hrs. When arrived to pick up the truck, there was no trucks available at the location I reserved it for. So I was told to go home, and someone would contact me to tell me where I could pick it up from. I got a call around 1:30 saying pick up a 20 in truck at 3pm from a location that was far from my place. I picked up the truck at 3pm and was told I needed to have it back before they closed at 7pm or else I'd be charged a convenience fee of 39.99 if its not returned by 7pm. So not only was I already being charged extra for getting a bigger truck than requested, I also had to use more mileage since this location was far from my house which cost more money, now I need to pay a convenience fee if Im not done in time by 7pm before the workers leave for the day. There was no way in the world I would be done by 7pm. I ended up paying almost 200.00 in total for something that should have only been no more than 80.00. This service is terrible, and I never want to experience working with this company ever again.

Truck was good. The problem was I was supposed to pick up truck near my home but when I called it wasn’t there. I had to drive in Chicago traffic and it took me nearly 3 hours round trip.

Requested a pickup from Lakeview, got sent to Cicero instead with a day's notice. Mileage went from a few miles estimated to over 30, plus the hassle of having to get to and from the location without any personal transportation.

Teach your worker to explain when you return the truck when you put a deposit down that you suppose to ask the other worker that you want your cash back and not wait five days to be credited back to your account. This was poor service for me won't do business there again

Your app sucks. Uhaul makes it seem like picking up with your phone is easier and convenient but once you get to the location and start filling out the online app, there are a million questions and at one point you need a reference that will answer asap or a passport. No one carries a passport with them. It was slow and took forever.

The gas was told to me it was at 1/4 of a tank .. when I went to te truc to verify the mileage and gas .. it was at 1/8 and the man told me he would adjust it .. it's been 5 calls now and no adjustment has been done!!
