paul jThe drivers seat belt was broken, gas was only half full, and I was overcharged for milage upon return. (I have photos) Also upon return I used the app to check the truck in. The app told me to park the truck and drop the keys off. When I did that I was rudely told I had to move the truck to the return lane.

Bruce WMy original rental was from the store on West Camp Bowie. The pickup was for 6:30pm. We got there at 6:20 and the store was closed. Called and left message. We left at 6:35 when no one was there. Finally my wife called and spoke to UHaul who called the store owner who said they would come back if we wanted to go back to the store. We already had left and were at the Alta Mere store. Alta Mere was great and very helpful. Won’t rent from the West Camp Bowie store ever again. Horrible customer service.

Kenneth FU-HAUL March ‘24 The storage reservation was canceled. I asked the facility about the free month storage through the U-Haul promotion and was told I would have to pay for a year upfront to get it. That didn’t see that in the fine print. I went to a different storage facility, that is more convenient and gives half off the first three months. (KO). And U-HAUL wanted to charge an extra $250 for me to drop off the truck in Weatherford instead of Fort Worth. All around a bad experience with U-Haul. Except the awesome people at Twisted Coastal RV. & U-Haul in Aransas Pass, TX.. They went above and beyond! Update to add: when I tried to do a review, U-Haul sent me an email with a link that didn’t work. So just more frustration.

Michael SI got charged for the full price and the U-Haul was inoperable or undrivable after the check engine light came on, I basically had to wait in a parking lot for 6 hours until it got towed to the U-Haul facility then had to come the very next day., then got notified that I had to come back on Sunday to transfer all of my other items that are in the U-Haul to two different storages. I have the receipts from KFC the lift that I had to pay to get my cold food and my freezer food to a residence, and another Lyft ride to come and take from the U-Haul service back to the residence. I am not happy at all for me to being charged for the full thing and I only had it for 24 hours out of a 3-day rental.

Steven G | Overall ExperienceWhen I reserved online I chose the size associated with a 1 to 2 bedroom apartment. when I arrived it wouldn't hold half of half of that. at first there was not another size available and then there was a larger one, but at 143.00 fine. I had movers standing there and I didn't have a choice. however, I feel a little tricked into paying more. that small size will not hold anything close to even a small one bedroom. I didn't even have a mattress or sofa. Also, I would like equipment (truck) and storage to be referencable in one contract. Upon return of the truck I did everything I was supposed to do, I thought. I placed the key in the back of the truck, took all the photos but didn't complete the charges because they were too high. It was storming so I left and tried to call. I couldn't get through and waited 45 minutes for a call back which didn't come at which point I took a well needed nap. when I awoke the sweet old lady i'm staying with had already been called and I received very aggressive voicemails about not being able to find the key. really? the code GOAT is on the contract.

Two hours later, after I retrieved my belongings, I came to the storage facility at approximately 6:30pm. I entered the access code on the page, including the * and # on the front and back, and was denied a total of 8 times from accessing the gate. I tried calling customer services and was told I could not be helped. This is the second time in THREE MONTHS I have has this problem trying to access a unit after store hours. You all as a company have GOT to do better. Especially in a time where people are moving at higher rates than ever before. I have yet to receive a refund for the unit I was charged a full month for and not able to access on Rufe Snow Blvd, and have called about that three times, with no indication from a property manager when I would get my money back. I will be reporting this matter to the better business bureau as well, my Harry Hines storage unit has been changing in price without my consent sporadically over the last several months. I need to be reimbursed for the day that I was charged yesterday to move into the storage unit, because I was not able to access it. I need to be reimbursed for the cost of extending my trailer rental, due to not being able to access my unit or the property manager. I also need to be reimbursed for the unit on rufe snow I was not able to access due to their elevators being broken. As a customer, I’m completely shocked at the terrible service I’ve received from Uhaul. From property managers to customer service representatives: The stress and frustration of not being able to access these units, as well as the time and money it’s cost me is absolutely disgusting. I drove half way across the US and had a issue which caused that delay and when I arrives at the facility I was told that my unit was given away. First of Ll that makes no sense. If I booked a hotel room for a month and was a day late it would not matter, I would simply have one less day. This has forever changed my opinion of uhaul and realize it's just another evil corporation. The salesperson at the desk was rude about it and offered no solution for me. I had to ask him, "how can you help me now" because he offered no options...until I asked. I was given a tiny unit that made I had to pack completely which made it nearly impossible to ever get anything I needed without unpacking all the boxes each time I needed to find something. Not to mention the smell of toxic poison was so strong that I would lose my sense of taste after being inside for more than 10 minutes. I can't help but shake my head when thinking of my experience.

I just wished I would get a reply from the storage communications the same day I signed for the unit & again a few days later. Stephany M | First ImpressionsMy daughter did the booking of the storage and U-Haul online. Unbeknownst to the both of us we rented a locker as well as a small storage truck. The small storage truck was able to move all of her belongings from a one bedroom apartment the problem came in when we realized at 8 o’clock at night that she rented a locker instead of an actual storage room! Young lady who gave me the keys told me to look for the number on top of the truck and pretty much nothing else I drove around in circles trying to figure where 1546 was 26 and after driving around three circles I figured out that it was in the inside yet so knowing that I had to keep the hall for a longer time and speak to you are represented online who was very helpful and saved my impression for the storage facility the managers I spoke to secondly was very helpful as well but there was a customer service rep or cashier named Liam a young girl not very helpful At all her service was very very unserviceable it was as if I was bothering her she spoke very low and didn’t greet me when I came in like when I came in the second time and was greeted upon arrival.

However, after explaining the law to Eatman, and offering to step outside to do the transaction, he kindly offered to help. Please update your staff on the laws. People with medical conditions aren’t required to wear a mask. You also shouldn’t have every employee asking a customer about a mask. It becomes bullying at that point. But you have a great employee in Eatman. He was Professional and calm and had a great personality through the process. Thumbs up to him!

Paying month by month was far more stressful that it need be because of being able to make the payment on only a single day--impossible to pay on receipt of the reminder. The online portal to return the trailer repeatedly malfunctioned preventing me to reach an expected "completion" page leaving me to believe that I had not completed the return process. Nevertheless, I left the trailer at the designated drop-off location at the U-Haul facility and planned to return to the facility the next morning to complete the return. A few hours later I received an email from U-Haul confirming the return. Summary: Please check the online return software as it appears to be broken.
