The whole process was smooth and the workers were helpful. One thing, sun visor on drivers side was broken and kept popping off the ceiling. It felt a little unsafe.

Noelle FloraI arrived and wasn't sure what to do. Jose happened to be in the parking lot and asked if I needed assistance. I told him I was a new renter and I needed to know what to do. He asked me a couple questions. Walked me thru the entire process, created my UHaul card for entry. Once he created the card he showed me what to do explained everything and answered my questions. This is a wonderful very secure facility that I feel very comfortable in Nice, knowledgable and helpful employees and Jose is the bomb.

Michael Torres | Overall Experience1) I reserved to pick up in one town and had to pick up in another town 12 miles away. Instead of the move being a total of about 25 miles it was 50. Then and I asked about the mileage and the kid actually said “yah you’ll just have to eat it in he mileage because we can’t get a truck to the place you reserved” Then WHY is it available to reserve ? 2) I reserved blankets. 3 dozen moving blankets. They said they were in there, but surprise—they weren’t. So I had to use a bunch of my own towels and sheets and blankets to move. And now I get to launder all of them. They “kindly” removed them from the invoice as if they did me a favor. I just don’t want to be charged for stuff I don’t get. the guy on the phone was nice and helpful but he also had said to tell them when we drop the truck off. So I said I’m calling NOW because no one will BE THERE when we drop the truck off later in the night. if I could afford to hire movers that have their own trucks I would do that. The least uhaul could do is teach their employees How to talk to their customers. The least the employees could do is apologize when they get it wrong and not tell customers to “eat it “

Sonia DeutschMarlon Masangcay was extremely rude to me upon changing units. I downsized to a unit 1111 and he told me I can choose either too. Once I moved to the said unit he yelled and argued with me that I was on my phone and then closed out my unit, then he john doe my new unit that I just moved too! So upon returning to my new unit 1111, they put a john doe hold on it and said nobody signed up for it. He took the time to mishandled my transfer, yell to me about it, and I had to be locked out of my unit. Very unprofessional service, I was in this storage for over one year and paid enough money. If I can get my money back since I transferred that would be nice, no customer service and very rude manager willing to John Doe your unit because you were on your phone. I would like a refund on the entire transaction, extremely unprofessional and rude, he should not be managing that facility. I don't think I paid anything for the smaller unit but $69.95, I did receive one month free and moved out before I was billed again. Terrible experience, please fix your staff.

Cross town move option not clear and found out about this option by asking lists of questions; 2. Not that this was a problem for me - I do in the uPod - but the wgt mi it could push problems for someone that die not know: 2,000 lbs? 2 upright pain is a d a refrigerator; 3. Get agreed to co taxes button fixed; 4, all customer service agents know it does not work but still continue to get bothersome emails; 5. Problem more info on when to call scheduler since much shorter wait times and typically give responses wit the first 3o seconds; 6. The drop off a d pick up iPods process work well ( and forklift driver is great!); 6 Busy Bird movers great moving company but confusion in that they do not pick up uPods - so confusing in sorting out this issue and if not aware you do not know t hi s is a desperate charge a d if moving plans change you could pay for something that did not moved with your changes ( this happened to me / but thanks for Busy Birds movers that alerted me to this and I fixed. Thanks!

RUBI ACEVEDOThe staff are helpful, besides one girl at the front desk when I first opened a unit a year ago, For that I left a review on google. There are currently a lot of transient drug addicts that hang around the back bathrooms and on the property who should not be there or have access. The front automatic doors are not locked and open for everyone so this storage location is not secure. I recently seen a Facebook post about a unit that was broken into at that location and had all of his tools stolen which is not hard to believe with lack of security for these units. I would not recommend storing your belongings here for this reason, not to mention I have had wax cleaner flood into my unit, thankfully it did not reach my belongings inside the tubs and it’s also caused my door to become stuck making it impossibly hard to lift up.

CINDY ORTEGAThe employees at this location were awesome. The people on the phone who I made the appointment with were not very well informed. I had ordered two pods because the employee told me that the pods had sufficient tiedowns to hold a toolbox in place. Once I received the pod, I realized that the four one-inch tiedowns were not sufficient to hold a five hundred pound toolbox in place I had to return the pod and rent this trailer. So, I was not so happy with that. But the delivery person for the pod was amazing, she did a great job helping me figure this mess out and I was and still am, very grateful to her.

Teresa Hernandez | Overall ExperienceThis was the second time this year in January 2024. Rented a U-haul truck this time. It was not bad. It had gas and it didn't was clean as well. My only complaint was Louie was in a U-haul store. One employee was on the phone taking care of a nest of customer. And the other employee was on his phone doing whatever I think we was in the store for about 10 minutes and the one that was on his personal phone. They're not even acknowledged us. We stood there waiting. I thought maybe he was on a customer call. Then I decide to disable. Is there anyone that can help us? Can he end up helping us? I feel like they should have an acknowledged us. Disable, we need it and today's no. How long it was gonna be? But after I acknowledge him and told him we needed a truck. He told us that he was waiting for us to talk to him. That's not how it should have been. I failt his customer service with not good at all.

The facility should be studied for adding a "Rear Access" to aid customers with storage in the far sides of the facility! That female was very unprofessional even after I told her that I'm a US Army Veteran with disabilities! I commend Mr Firoz Bari for listening and offering assistance! Engineers and Safety, OSHA should look at that facility to assist the people with disabilities and give CLOSER access from the rear!!

Perfect since I recently had surgery and it would facilitate unloading with ease. However, and hour or so later when I arrived, Esteban was helping a customer and a female handed me the card and charged me for the lock. Now she changed the unit and assigned me 6897, far and way in the back [I might be a number off, I don't have the paperwork in front of me]. I asked why if Esteban had already given me a unit by the front, why was she changing it? She didn't reply and proceeded with the transaction. So "Excellent" customer service from Esteban, very DISPLEASED with the female who helped in person!

Joseph Berkebile | First ImpressionsThe front desk agent who initially helped me was absolutely amazing! I was surprised to have such an opposite interaction with the manager of all people. My boyfriend at the time and I were there late one night looking for a paper that we had lost. The entire reason we even got the u it was to start bringing our stuff from our old unit and box by box, search for that paper. I waited for my husband to finish what he was doing in the unit and next thing I knew, I was awoken by the manager telling me I had to leave the property and that I couldn't sleep there. I explained we had a unit and that my husband was in there and when we found him he too was asleep. I understand the company not wanting people living in the units. I assure you, that wasn't what we were trying to do. After a long day at work and moving 3 truck loads to the UHAUL unit along with the stress of needing to find this paper finally took a toll on us. While I waited for him to come put, I fell asleep and while he was looking for the paper, he fell asleep. Because of this, the manager reprimanded us as if we were kids, and took the only reason we got the unit to begin with away- the 24hr access. After proving ourselves she said we could regain that privilege but there was no warning, there was nothing said about anything when we 1st got the unit and when I told her what what happened and that we would be no longer needing the unit if we couldn't have 24hr access, she simply said, "It was up to me to cancel the unit." Onviously our business wasn't needed and I wasn't going to pay for something where we have to treated like children. Well, fast forward 3 months and I receive an email demanding pay. I split up with my boyfriend and was under the impression when I returned I'd be able to get my belongings out of the unit. The demand for pay came before I had returned and when I called to see if I could get my stuff, she told me only he could have access because it was in his name. The contact information was all mine, I had both keys..the 24hr access card and my own key to the unit, and I was on the contract..she still would not let me get my belongings. She said it would be going to auction soon so I asked when that would be. She never replied after me asking about the auction. The last thing I received was a computer generated notice that all of my stuff had been sold. I found this to be unprofessional, unfair, and I'm looking over the laws and from what I see, it was illegal. Further more when we had the unit, the sliding doors to the main building opened even with out the key card. So there wasn't any security other than our lock on the unit and it was always trashed. I know they were still in progress of putting their security system up but if you're going to be open, having clean floors without tools, buckets, heavy equipment, and wires seems like it would be a necessity. It created many hazards for those walking through. The parking lot was always thrashed as well. This was a disappointing experience. On paper, it sounds great. But once you're actually on the premises, it's a nightmare and the manager definitely needs some customer service classes....or maybe just a class on manners.

MAURICE HOLMES | First ImpressionsI thought overall for the cost it was very expensive The only reason I went with it was because of the location of it then when I rented my unit, it was at the front of the store, which made it easy for me to pick up my things, but during the time that I was in the facility, it switched, the location of the front of the store and made it very hard for me to get to my storage unit on top of the fact that I was never notified of a new system that was being in place, which made it more frustrating to get in and out of my unit .
ashley bluem | Overall ExperienceI had arrived 5 minutes before 7 one night as I could not find a ride earlier, the staff member would not allow me 5 minutes to load my items and I ended up having to get a storage unit at another facility because I was leaving town for the summer. Upon returning to my unit 6 weeks later I found that I had been moved out of my unit, even though I was paid up. I also found that there was a card required to enter the facility which I had not been notified of. The manager of the facility gave me a free month for the misunderstanding and also gave me a card to enter the facility. Which was appreciated. The card was still under someone else’s name when it was given to me and eventually no longer worked so I needed to get it reset under my name. Additionally, when I was moved out of the unit, the unit was removed from my uhaul account so I was unable to make automatic payments or make any payments for that unit online. Overall, none of these events were big deals but all of them together did make the experience a 5 star.

I have asked to speak to the manager several times and left my number with no return call. I walked in and cleared out my storage and checked out in person. The next month I was charged a fee again. I called no returned call from the manager. I did receive a letter from Judy the manager with a late fee and charges for the entire month of July even though I formally check out on July 12th. I would not recommend this facility to anyone because of the poor management. I do want to note that the staff was very kind and helpful. Reuben ultimately was a great help!

IRA DAVIS | First ImpressionsI made my reservation for my storage unit and truck online. That was very user-friendly and very convenient. However, a few days after I made my reservation for a specific location, I received a text message and an email saying that my reservation was confirmed for a different city a pretty far distance from my local city. So I had to call and get this fixed. Then, when I showed up at the facility the morning of my move, it took almost an hour for the entire process to check in because of so many errors or lack of knowledge by the office staff (there is one female named Tia and two males at the front desk and only Tia know what she was doing). And I was not the only person that had problems with their reservation that morning. Then I went over to check out my unit and there was a lock on it. I called the office and asked them to come remove the lock but nobody came, so I left in hopes that it would be gone by the time I returned with all my items. 4 hours later the lock was still on my unit. Then when the guy finally came over to remove the lock and he opened it, the unit was significantly smaller than what I had reserved, I reserved and 8x10 and this unit was maybe a 5x10 if that. But they were adamant but it was the correct size. So then I had to return to the office yet again and request a larger unit. Now I'm looking forward to paying the huge increase in the cost for two feet! In all, I've used U-Haul numerous times in my life and I've never run into as many problems as I did this time around. Your company has been around a very long time and unprofessionalism and disorganization of this experience really put a bad taste in my mouth. It's a total bummer!

The closing hour would have been better at 8 or 9 if other business would support it. (I think it is unreasonable to charge me for an entire month storage when I used ten days. Uhaul experience overall with trucks and storage units was a nightmare in spite of having made reservation months in advance. The end result still had to pay more than originally quoted. They also need to do a better job advertising/communicating basic things like, you need to provide your own lock, at the time storage restorations being made. I would no longer recommend uhaul to anyone.

I had booked a U box in Santa Barbara for June 14 but was told, on June 10th, that UHaul could not fulfill that reservation. My only option was the storage in Santa Maria and truck rental. This cost me about $310 (one month rental, van rentals (twice) and gas) compared to the expected cost of $115 for the u- box. Yes, I was given $50 for the unfulfilled reservation but I was still out $145 and over 4 hours driving.
