Omar MMy overall experience was poor I rented equipment for one day pick up time 12:30pm and to be dropped off at 4:30pm I returned the equipment past that time around 7pm after the facility was closed none of the links that was sent to my phone worked to verify equipment or to begin the return process the app as well couldn’t register my location that I was at the facility so I determined that a representative would be able to check my equipment in the next day for a small fee which was fine little did I know they would charge me for the use of the equipment for two days instead of one day. I contacted customer service and filed a claim and should have heard from the GM in a time frame of 1-3 days it’s been almost two weeks and I haven’t received any response I will not be using the services at this location ever again

Katrina AI arrived 10 minutes before my reservation time and was informed that my reserved 26' truck was not available. I was given an option to wait an hour in hopes that it would be returned or to pick up another truck from another location. I chose another location. The attendant not only provided me with the incorrect address to the new location, Austin sent my reservation to a location in another state.After being given the information to the correct location, I called on my way to the new location, which was 30 minutes out the way to confirm that they did have the truck size that I need and the respresentative over the phone confirmed and updated my arrival time as the attendant at the original location did not set it correctly. When I arrived at the second location, I was informed that they did not have ANY trucks available. I had scheduled not only a truck but also movers for this day. I went to 2 locations to be told no trucks were available. A customer just so happened to be returning a truck early at the Tara Blvd location in Jonesboro, GA and the attendant assigned me that truck. Two hours of my moving day was wasted and I almost missed my movers due to the inconvenience of Avalon Pkwy location.

Joshua WMy experience was truly unacceptable and got no resolution at the store level or 1800 customer care line. I arrived at the store around 7am to beat the rush and didn't leave from the facility until around 8am because I was in line for 20mins and when I went to hook my trailer the ball hitch was too small I stood there for about 25 more minutes and when the reps arrived on their golf cart they tried to connect the trailer to my truck and realized it was defective so I was directed to a different trailer.so by the time I left it was about 50 mins later. When I first arrived at the counter I asked the young man how much do trailers rent for a day? And his response was how long do you need it? And I answer maybe 6 or 7 hours and he says it's 27 dollars 35 with coverage for 6 hours. Then I asked what if I go over how much will you all charge and he says a portion of the original rental fee. I say a portion? How much is that and he says I'm not sure because it depends on how long you go pass your contract return time but it's not that much just give us a call to let us know your running late and we will adjust the contract. And I said ok I live near Atlanta and had to travel around 75 miles to pick up an item it was raining accidents all over the place and traffic was atrocious so on my way back I saw that I would not make the return arrival time so I gave the store a call to ask them to extend my time and they say it's an additional $35. I say wait that is what I paid for the whole six hours and the rep says you have to pay for another entire day. I say I didn't pay for a day rental I paid for 6 hours he said sir you went pass your time it's nothing more I can do. I say how much is a daily rental? He says $35. What! I say to him, I ask the other rep how much for a day and he says how long do you need it. Anybody in their right mind would assume I was getting the best rate but instead of giving me the the daily rate at $35 he gave me 6 hours for the exact same price. And he lead me into the whole 6 hour deal by purposely not answering my question of how much per day. Also the portion fee I was also mis lead on ended up being another entire day charge. Anybody with good sense knows that this is bait and switch. I called customer care and complained and all they did was call back to the store and got no answer, then they tell me that a general manager named courtney would call me back never got that call and they charged my account twice. I am truly disappointed and saddened at the lack of customer service and intelligence a large corporation like u haul has in charge of upper management. They are a big company and you may choose to use them but for me I will spend my money elsewhere.

I still had to wait over 30 minutes at the location and was forced to give the name and phone number of a random person that knows me and they could call immediately before I was allowed to rent a vehicle. That was absurd nonsense. I reserved an appliance dolly and there were no dollies available when I got there and I was told everything is first come first serve, which makes no sense why you can reserve anything. Will definitely rent a Penske next time

Randall EInstead of sending me to a u haul dealership that does not give cash deposit back, let the customer know first. I had to drive u haul truck back to the original u haul store for me to get my cash deposit, then they wanted me to a ride with an Uber ( STRANGER)!!!!!! . BACK TO THE STORE THAT WOULD NOT GIVE ME MY CASH DEPOSIT TO GET MY CAR , I HAD MY FAMILY WITH ME DURING THIS ORDEAL WHICH TOOK THREE HOURS TO HANDLE. LUCKILY I HAD A FAMILY MEMBER IN AREA TO ASSIST IN TAKING ME AND MY FAMILY TO RETRIEVE MY CAR , SINCE THEY WOULD NOT SEND SOME ONE TO LITTERLY PICK THE TRUCK UP THEMSELVES. WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN CONVENIENT FOR THE CUSTOMER. I TRULY HOPE NO ONE ELSE HAS TO GO THROUGH THIS , WHAT IF IT WAS AN MEDICAL EMERGENCY, AND MY ONLY ACCESS TO CASH WAS MY DEPOSIT. TRULY DISAPPOINTED

James P | First ImpressionsI had to toss about $1000 worth of furniture away because little bugs got into ALL my fabric based furniture. I even bought the plastic wrap inside their office and that did nothing to stop the bugs from getting to my furniture and destroying it. I spoke with several other customers and they all said the same thing about their fabric furniture being destroyed by bugs. So if the bug infestation wasnt bad enough, the store then raised the price on me and to top that off, apparently i was the only person who ever used my access key to turn off the alarm before opening my units. The alarm went off every 3-5 minutes you would visit your unit, everyday. That was extremely annoying especially since one of my units was directly in front of a loud speaker.

Drove two hours one way with help to move all stored furniture out only to find out on arrival elevator was down. Had to wind up taking everything down one flight of stairs. Difficult moving larger pieces of furniture and heavy boxed items. This was only day I would have help and a trailer, so decided to do it. It would have been helpful to schedule another day had I known about the elevator. Company should be able to email all customers above first floor about elevator being out of order then again once repaired. The rating is based solely on having to move everything downstairs by hand.

When trying to call the facility I was on hold for 15 mins & decided to just go there & try it. This was very frustrating & inconvenient. We ended up cancelling for a refund on Wednesday. We went to another storage facility & had no issues getting our items in. Uhaul needs to step it up.

I recognized you were on vacation. Additionally, I’m confident you staff passed on the message to call me. I still haven’t been contacted. Secondly, I want to communicate I’ve been constantly & consistently communicating with Ms.Stephanie & other staff members regarding my unit that was recently auctioned off (9.11.23). I wanted to ensure that I was in compliance with paying my balance owed before the auction. I explained in great detail that I’m on disability and had to unexpectedly put everything in 2 storage units. I never anticipated my situation to rise to this level so quickly. I wasn’t able to keep my my home. However, that is why I was trying to do my due diligence and call to ensure I had accurate information regarding the units and my timeframe. I’m really not at one place right now. During our last conversation, on August 26th approximately 2:30, I was emphatically assured by Ms. Stephanie that I had until October 8th (for the first unit).I took her at her word. I accept full accountability for my failure to pay. However, you all have a responsibility to ensure staff is fully trained when disseminating such critical information. My entire life was in that storage unit. Family picture’s that I’m confident the individual that purchased the unit would just trash. Those pictures are priceless. This is why I called over, and over trying to prevent what happened from happening. Thirdly, the way the entire process has been handled lacks ethics and integrity. Now for some reason I receiving a text messages regarding my second unit being set for auction. I’m extremely perplexed by this because that wasn’t the case with the other unit. This is how I know based on my interactions with your staff on Sept. 11th, procedures are being handled accordingly. I honestly think you all mixed my units up with the two and possibly one in Texas. This entire situation has exacerbated my depression and chronic migraine to the point that I literally can’t get out the bed or stop crying. How does one recover from this? The fact that you thought so little of my situation and didn’t respond to my message is extremely disappointing, disheartening & disturbing. I’m not done trying to work through this and trying to determine Uhaul’s accountability. However , it’s just way too much for me to focus on until my therapy session next week. Also,

When I arrived, the 10x15 was unavailable and the counter person said they have not been available for awhile. I was given two 10x10 units. I crammed everything in them, but it was very tight. I would have selected another facility if I had known the 10x15 was going to be unavailable at booking. Very disappointed in the whole situation, but being in a severe time crunch, somehow made it work.

Every time I walk in here. They look at me like I was here comes a problem and treat me and make my problems and escalate the situation. I am not a problem I believe in being treated fair and I don’t get treated fair here miss Diane is the only manager that has ever treat me fairly nice and with respect she’s amazing. The only elevator in the building broke down shortly before our mover arrived so it had to be rescheduled. This ended up costing us $250 more than we were supposed to spend. My wife bought a lock when she went to pick up 2 follies that the company did not provide in the back of the moving truck as I asked. I originally was not going to use U-Haul storage facility but I went ahead and reserved it. My wife did not know so when she came back with the truck I said I confirmed the storage and it comes with a free lock. When we tried to return the lock the young lady stated “you would have had to buy a lock anyway so you can just keep that lock. She did not want to return the lock my wife bought. So now we have an extra lock because I refuse to argue over little things like a lock. But if U-Haul employees are indicative of the company I will not be utilizing U-Haul after this and I will not encourage people to utilize the services. I have had nothing but issues from renting the truck to accessing my U-Haul. I still have to go back up to the storage facility because my code does not work after hours.
Devlyn R | Online Move InI booked a 10x25 and when I got there it was the smallest unit they had. They had already taken my money but no one called or emailed me stating that the unit I booked wasn’t available. When I got to the facility that’s when I learned about the unit, it was after 7 pm other storages was closing had no choice but to get two more unites to hold my things. I will not ever is UHaul again and I will also rate them 0 for customer service satisfaction.

I did find issues with some of the people that work there, Moving is stressful in itself but it was made even more stressful, when I arrived on March 1st to remove my things from storage mind you I had driven all the way from Maryland. I left my storage key in Maryland, when I went to the front desk to see if they could help me by cutting the lock etc. and was told it would cost me $50.00 and I had to wait 5 days for them to do it, my storage needed to be out by March 3rd before payment would be due again when I stated this they didn't seem to care that it would cost me more money. Luckily my daughter who works in Buckhead had the other key for the storage, so I had to leave to get to her job to get the other key which cost me more time, I had to rent a uhaul truck to get my things to Maryland that cost over $600.00 one way pius gas. I was able to get the key from my daughter and get back to the storage unit and remove all of my things, I was checked out of the unit via swiping the storage card as I was advised to do by the uhaul employee, I'm thinking that everything was good and I was done with the storage part, I received a late notice on March 7th stating that I owed storage fees and a $15.00 late fee, I called Uhaul and spoke to someone name Mack, I explained to him about the bill i received, he had no answers and said that he needed to get his manager, so I was placed on hold, when he came back to the phone he stated his manager Summer was too busy to speak with me, but that they would look into my concerns, I have spent a lot of money with uhaul over the years and to be made to feel like my issues don't matter to them only my money was not a good feeling and if I ever need to move again I will defintely choose another company.

I WAISTED over an hour time with my movers it was one of the worse experience I have every had. The facility's security alarm would sound off randomly and very, very often, even at night with few or no people present. I used my card to log in and out to avoid tripping the alarms, nevertheless, the alarms would still go off randomly whenever I was there and they were loud and annoying. The facility is clean, The cost for the size unit I had was reasonable. I've gone to several competitors in the past and U-Haul was better than most.

Gerald O | First ImpressionsOn 8/30/20, I reserved a truck for 12:00 noon and I arrived to pick it up at 11:45 am. Once I got there and checked in, I was told that the truck wasn’t available to wait. They paged the driver for an ETA and was told he should be back in 30 minutes, so I decided to wait. I waited until 1:30pm. I spoke with the agent again to let her know I couldn’t wait any longer, I had a team of movers waiting for me at home. I lost time and money because I had to pay the team and still didn’t get any Customer service apologies.

What I did not appreciate it not being offered the free first month of payment especially after she asked if I wanted to opt in to autopay. Even though she did not bother to explain that if I did opt in that I would qualify for my first month free. Only after referring another customer to her and that location do I find this out and when my husband inquired about it not only did she say that he had no authority on the account but that she couldnt help because it had been over 24 hours since we opened the account. We had to fight to get a credit (which we still have not received) which means there is more calling around, waiting and fighting to be done.

Lighted storage area (Which never worked in my sanction from day one) 4. Power in the stall, Which you pad locked and took away the ability to access when I needed it. This quite honestly was the last straw because out of all things this is the reason I moved to your location. I was willing to stay despite not having paved isles, waste dump & lights at night. But when you pad locked the power boxes I decided to go back to where I was storing before.

Plus my storage size was not what I was told in customer service so basically I got a 10 by 15 with a small door when I need it the big door. I was delayed instead of right away service. Plus it brand new, however my sister, had had storage unit in Forest Park, Ga and rats n rats got into some of her stuff. Summer took care of me, she put me in a 5x 5 to begin with and my mom was like that won't work so we went with the 5x10. Plus it handicap accessible which is convenient for my mom.
