The reservation worked fine up until the 20 upsell click throughs you have to do.. it took me 10 minutes to convince it that I did not want to hire movers. The check-in web page just didn't work.. was never able to upload pictures. The check-out page crashed on the first page of image uploading and would not let me continue from where I left off.

Michelle BThings stolen from storage unit. I was unable to retrieve any back. I wasn't offered another unit. The unit that I was in had the wire fencing separated. I showed this to management. Now that I'm gone there probably gonna try to fix it right away. I was told that I had a certain amount of time to look and gather my things in my unit. Meaning that whatever I was coming to get I should have it ready in the front. Treatment as if I were a little child. I was approached by uhal representative and their husband. They both yelled and told me I was there too long. That the police would be called if I don't leave. The amount of time I was told I had to look for my belongings is 30minutes. They also deactivated my card and told me that I had I come to the office and check in to get my things. A total embarrassment in front of other customers. As if I were a nuisance on the property. I would never ever suggest this place to anyone that I know or didn't know.

James SThis is the second time I have rented a vehicle from this location and I am very pleased with the service provided. This time, as I was leaving the lot with the U-Haul van, a dashboard trouble light came on and I turned around to learn what it meant. When I told the lady at the desk about it, she immediately stopped what she was doing and went out to look at the light. She explained that I just needed to press a button to turn that function off (the "Hitch Stabilizer.") Her quick response took away all my worries and I was able to drive the vehicle and accomplish my moving job on that day.

William DThe individual (male) who helped hook up the motorcycle trailer I had scheduled for pick up was great. I left my 13 week old puppy in my Tahoe with the back windows cracked and left the engine on. (Terrible idea!) Anyways, the puppy jumped over the seat and ended up locking the Tahoe while it was running before we even got the trailer hooked up. The U-Haul employee used two hook instruments to unlock my Tahoe! He didn’t have to go above and beyond to help me. It was Saturday and they were very busy. In fact, I was about to call AAA. I didn’t get his name but would appreciate it if you could acknowledge him for this deed. Its employees like this who help businesses succeed! Thanks, Jordan Day

This is why the move in process for me was rated below average. The woman that helped me did not give me clear instructions on how to get to my storage unit.

This was on the eighth of October and here on the 20th of October I still have not received my money back due to uhaul not releasing it. The fact that it’s has put me in such a financial bind that I’m living in my car now, plus you not releasing my money back to me for no reason. I will never do this again. This has put more hurt on my life than you will know or care to know. I have been on the phone for a week trying to get this situation settled and still no resolution. Highly disappointed with this company and wouldn’t have thought you would have dealt with customers like you have… I want my money back. You got paid the total cost and this isn’t right. I’m livid! That’s almost four hundred dollars. I need that to live!

Uhaul reduced their storage hours to only be open while office personnel are there. This is inconvenient but I understand why. Numerous times while I was at my union there were people who were trying to get in- many homeless people and people who were on drugs trying to get in. There was someone in the bathroom for a few hours doing drugs, a couple times people were so high they wouldn’t even acknowledge you when you talked to them. I don’t know what the fix to this is, but just something to be aware of if you use this storage facilty. Again, staff and units were good. Hours and the location was not, especially with people trying to get in.

When we first moved our belongings into the storage facility I was really put out by how unhelpful the workers were, and how sketchy the location was. The girl behind the counter acted like she had better things to do than wait on customers - she barely spoke to me and when she did I wasn’t even sure if she WAS talking to me because she was eating at the same time. I felt like I was interrupting or annoying her, which is never a good feeling for a customer. :( Then when I tried to come back at 7:45pm to put some things in my storage unit, my key card wouldn’t work and said it was “after hours” although the reader displayed access hours until 10pm. Soooo…that is also an issue.

John B | First ImpressionsI rented a storage locker at the South County location months ago. While Keith, the manager, did act professionally I have a negative experience while checking out. As a customer acting in good faith, I pre-paid my rental every month. This most recent pay period I pre-paid for October and November. It was to go from the 15th to the 15th. Your records will reflect this information. I was able to retrieve all my belongings and check out on the 16th. I requested a pro-rated refund because I only used the unit for one day yet paid for the entire month. I was told, rudely, by the front line staff "NO PRORATES!" While I understand that as a business model, I explained that they could rent the unit to another customer thereby making more money. Again, I was treated rudely. I want access to UNIT 1302 until November 15th, since I paid for it. Do not rent that unit, although it is empty, to another customer. I wanted to provide this negative feedback and I will update a YELP review as well. Please let me know if I can provide any additional information that might be helpful. It was completely wonderful engaging and made the experience great. There were some hiccups along the way with adequate payment processing and auto payment not being set up. However, her disposition makes all of the errors utterly OK with me. Also, your regional VP I spoke with took the time to give me a call and apologize for another situation. If I do use a location again, I will use this one.

On one visit as I entered storage area I could here a domestic fight inside the building went to tell staff members of hearing a person being slapped told to keep quiet and the sound of a woman crying but had not idea where they were located being they may have been inside a unit, staff members took no concern to at least investigate never even got up to take a look. This location is by far the worse experiences each time I was there.

What could have been a horrible experience moving 2 separate large homes into storage over 2 different weeks and then moving everything out and into a new home one month later all went fairly smoothly with their expert help. They guided us to use moving equipment that made the job so much easier and faster than expected. And the new climate comtroled facilities were clean and very secure. Never felt a need to worry about my belongings while in storage, which was just one less trouble to deal with. Thank you all for helping things go smooth.

The first two I would give A++ rating and the last a B. All facilities were excellent, the only difference among the 3 was the employee attitudes. The St. Louis location employees did not want to move from behind their barriers and were not very helpful about explaining their storage procedures.
