The employee savannah, was extremely rude during check out. She didn't not want to help me properly. She said she would check us out and send an email when she didn't even know what unit we were in or our email. When I said I wanted to make sure she checked us out and I received the email when I was there she kept on saying she would send it to me and I don't need to be there and didn't want to read my email back to me until I told her .. her customer service wasn't great. Seem like a great employee but she much rather fix under the uhaul truck hood than to help customers. Over all the managers are great and property /units are clean.

Your call center people gave me bad information. Thank God I was able to get a hold of the (Ahwatukee) store to clarify my storage facility RENTAL. He told me if I gave him my credit card number they were able to hold it for a month. That’s not true. It’s a first come first serve walk in only. The Ahwatukee store is very friendly and helpful.

I had two storages there for 10 months and then I kept the the larger one for an additional 16 months. And the wife is very nice but it depends on the husband’s mood, whether he’ll be nice. He tries to nickel & dime you. They both do that. They will definitely misrepresent things, like over charging me for 24 hour access, then increasing the mileage price of the rental truck, and saying the dollie is included and charging you $7 for using it. I doubt that I would ever need storage again but if I did I certainly wouldn’t use this location again!

The entry door that led to my unit was not well paved; there was a significant drop from the door to the asphalt which caused issues entering and exiting the building with a trolley of boxes. Nothing extreme, but certainly inconvenient. The slope of the asphalt itself was enough that we had to chase run-away trolleys often.

I tried renting a 15' Truck on the 24/7 Truck Share app that did not work out so Im very happy that I was able to rent from the U-Haul of Ahwatukee at the last minute. The driver side door shut if I Pulled really hard and the passenger door was so broken from an accident it was very hard to close.

1. In my opinion the price was too high. 2. When I initially rented the unit there was a chemical leak seeping into my unit from an adjacent unit. I was assured that it was/will be remedied. The leak continued to seep into my unit all the way until a few months before I emptied the unit. I brought it up to employees several times and asked what could be done about it, ie: financial discount or move to another unit. I was told no units were available and no discount could be given. My couch now smells like chemicals and anything in my unit made of plastic has changed color.

I felt pressured into getting my storage I really did not need it until August or September but was told I should rent now this was in June so I would not lose out in getting the size I needed so I did … I never used the space in the 2 months I was paying for it .. So I felt like I wasted over $200 dollars worth of Rent . I highly recommend U-Haul Storage of Ahwatukee. The storage facility is very clean and the employees are very nice. I was in a hurry one day and forgot to lock my storage unit correctly. An employee from U-Haul called me to let me know it was unlocked and she would keep an eye on the unit until I got there. Unfortunately, I can't remember the young lady's name that called me. Again thank you!!! I had no issues with rodents or insects. It's the Best place to store your personal belongings!!!!!!

Someone stole my eating tray and replaced it with another one. I told management, but they said it would be impossible to enter my unit without a key. Surveillance cameras are there, so there should be no issues finding the guilty culprits. I have been with them since 2017. This issue destroyed my trust in them. I really felt violated; I wanted to file a police report.

We were homeless after not being able to afford to renew our rent after my husband's surgeries and recent leg amputation and so it was a unseeded weight taken off of our already loaded down shoulders. Having this reasonably priced storage place available to us throughout one of the worse times of our lives from Sept 6 until. 10/21 was a blessing . And the service was always great ❤

The management and staff were always available for me in meeting my needs. Moving and storing all your personas is alot of hard work and costly. But I would say it was the customer service that they provided made a nightmare into a win-win. For that reason I give this Uhaul Stotage location the highest 5 Star Rating, for think outside the box and saving all my personal belongings. The location was completely great. With U-Haul as a whole, I was pretty disappointed that I made a reservation for a smaller unit (to downgrade my current two) then they changed their policies where reservations aren't taken and I just have to hope that it was there when I get there BUT they'll keep my information... So in summary they don't take reservations anymore. When I'm planning on coming from a different state (UT) to AZ to bring my belongings back to my new home (UT) and may not be able to take all of it with me at this time, I was put in a situation where I leave my last bit of belongings behind to throw out, or continue to pay for a huge unit (biggest I believe) that isn't necessary anymore (and someone else could certainly use) when I could have downgraded to the smallest unit for cost and space efficiency... Which I feel disappointed in that decision forcing me to pay for a unit I don't really need or lose my things. I chose to take those things elsewhere that I know I had a spot reserved when I got there. Plans to move different states are stressful enough without a reservation being pulled out from under me within 3 days of me getting there, when I called well weeks in advance to plan for the whole TWO days I had to get my belongings settled. I've been loyal to U-Haul for a while and was just really disappointed in that change for such a big plan that caused unneeded stress and is a pretty big factor in who I choose to store my items with.

I rented a 5x5 climate controlled storage unit 34 with the first month free. Immediately after renting the unit I found out that there was no separation between my unit 34 and the adjoining unit 33 and I had an immediate need to move in. Since it was the mistake of Uhaul that they rented unit 34 when there was no separation between 33 and 34, I was offered both units for the price of one 5x5 unit for as long as I hold the units. I was informed by the employee of this uhaul location who worked on my rental that he has made a remark on the above in my rental agreement file in the system. But I got an email from Jenna Buck on April 12th that I will be charged for two 5x5 units disregarding the above facts on what happened on the day I rented the storage unit. This is a poor customer experience and unreliable service. I request you to correct this.

There were a few hiccups along the way, but in the end everything turned out okey. Thankfully i learned from my experience moving in, and the unloading of a ubox, it is best to confirm in person. So Maybe better communication from the online reservation could be helpful. But i also know there are a lot of pieces that have to fit together, so over all it was a good experience!

Jenna was so helpful when I came into look at storage options she provided me with the best storage for my needs and also arranged for a truck to be rented to make moving easier. I was sincerely surprised how friendly and helpful the staff in the Ahwatukee storage facility was. Amazing, the solve all my problems, including some that I was thinking that were not possible. I moved a truck with furniture to a temporal storage and they talked with the truck rental to tell them that I was going to keep the blankets for some days more, solving my problem of protection of the furniture. When I arrived after 3 days driving the truck... I found that the previous person renting my storage did not removed the lock, they quickly find to me an alternative solution that worked perfectly for me. They helped me to remove and reinstall the car carrier in the truck... etc, etc.. I was absolutely surprised about all that. I will absolutely recommend to use this facility! THANKS!

I would rate staff as excellent. The place was clean and mostly was fantastic. They had convenient dolly’s to assist with the moving which was much appreciated. The storage was clean and they even had pest control boxes in the unit. The only issue I had was that I had paid for 24 hour access but did not have it and drove over 40 min with a load to put in storage and couldn’t get in. We finally learned the day I was moving out that apparently someone else had the same code as me so that was impacting my key code access. I called U-Haul Customer service that night and they informed me only the manager on site can adjust access but they were already closed so they were not able to assist me. They really need to have someone available 24/7 that has the ability to fix such issues because this really did cause quite an inconvenience for me. Also, they should have some check and balance in place so the same access code can’t be picked and so my situation wouldn’t happen to anyone else. This seems to be more a U-Haul problem vs the local staff problem. The local staff was fantastic, helpful, and very friendly.

The owners/operators are amazing! I highly recommend this facility to anyone. They're fantastic, individually and the business as a whole. They personally contacted me to inform me about the road construction which- truly affects limiting the route to the establishment. The truck was very well maintained, and thoroughly cleaned for COVID standards. I genuinely enjoyed working with the owners and I will use them in the future should the need arise, without hesitation.

My experience yesterday was not satisfactory. I was unable to un load my unbox into a unit and am now having to wait until monday for another manager to come and move the box so it can be unloaded. The person that first helped me, it was his last day and you could tell he did not want to be of any assistance. Every one else i spoke with including jenna who was learning the new location was helpful and i am sure this will get resolved

The location was not flexible at all to provide some type of refunding when I had cleared out the facility on Sat June 28th not realizing that the auto payment for July was processing on June 25th. I could not move everything on in middle of the week. I will not recommend this location for this very reason. Otherwise, the space itself was good. I had been there a few years with no payment issues and there was no willingness to accommodate this single request. I contact location management, call customer service, and spoke with customer service manager. No one was willing to be accommodating for a reasonable request. That’s not acceptable customer service.
