I have never experienced anything like this, I made a reservation for a rental truck I was quoted a rate. When I arrived the truck was too big so selected a smaller truck for a lesser rate. However, when I returned the u-haul I was charged over $300 the following week. I called customer service to figure out what was going and they have not been helpful.

I rented a uhaul same location on April 7 the Uhaul was dirty inside when I got to my location to load my furniture and engine light on plus no gas. I never got the link to inspect remtal like I did today and I also called about it and never got s call back

The truck tires were low on air, the truck itself was full of dents on the outside and not well maintained at all. Most aggravating was driving 22 miles and being charged for 6 gallons of gas. 19.95 is a myth, you can’t rent any vehicle there for less than $100, a total scam, never again.

I didn't rent from this location. I rented from the facility in North Versailles, route 48 & 30. Not sure if there both affiliated? My initial conversation was with Mike at this location. He supported me with setting everything up. Would like it better if payments would be set up into 2 payments. One when it leaves and 1 when it's picked up, empty at the destination. All of the different payments and separate taxes paid for everything is just a pain.

3/29/23 I went to the Washington Blvd location. This was my first time using this location. It was so convenient only being a 2 minute drive down the road from me. The staff was super helpful even with the inconvenience of the systems being down… Nicki and there was another staff member trying to help guests as well as informing customers that the systems were down. Nicki went above and beyond to help me get a cargo van since I didn’t have a reservation. (Initially I tried to book online before heading down. I even called customer service and was informed that the systems were down. With it being so close I just decided to head down anyway and see what I was able to do) I was finally able to I scheduled a reservation after constantly refreshing my webpage and using the app on my phone when the system came back on for a moment. I was probably at the location close to an hour waiting for the system to be back up. I was able to get the keys with Nicki’s help. When I got into the van it was very clean. (There was even a staff member who came to the van to ask if I was okay and if I needed any help to let him know) I used it for what I needed. I returned it and I felt so bad the systems were still down for them almost 2 hours later when I went to return the van and there was a line almost out the door…. I would recommend this location to anyone! They really did the best that they could with the inconvenience and I was so fortunate for their help and patience :)

I didn’t appreciate the run-down hard to drive 14 year old truck which smelled bad. To make matters worse-when I returned it there were new-ish ones just sitting around. I will ask next time.

grey haired pony tailed lady was helpful and checked over my trailer and assisted offloading it. However, the trailer was NEVER actually checked in so I had to call as I was continually charged for it despite returning it. Now I received a collection notice. This u-haul rental was from hell.

This location is the closest uhaul location to me. I dropped my 20" van off and the employee inside took my keys no problem. I came at 7:50 PM racing the 8Pm close time. and he was still on point. I asked if there was anything else that needed done and he assured me things were handled.

Nicki was very helpful and explained the charges. She refunded us the $30 charge for fuel since we were told to return the truck with the same fuel level. Overall service was great. We use this location to fill our propane tanks as well.

Unfair sales tactics. Associate promised to swap my unused hitch for free and refused to honor that post install. This was despite the fact that I had confirmed that on the morning of the rental appointment. He only announced that I need to pay after he installed the new hitch wasting my time and money.

Some safety equipment was defective on the first truck, but I was given another truck quickly. The person helping me was courteous and worked quickly. They even took a call and stated they were with another customer and they would be next and got back to me! That is unusual! Great experience overall

I originally wanted to use this location, but it was not available on the U-Haul app, so I chose the Oakland location. When I arrived at the Oakland location, however, I was told that their lot was full and that I would have to drop off somewhere else. That meant driving across town for 15 minutes to Washington Blvd. The person who unhitched the trailer said I was good to go, but two days later I noticed on the U-Haul app that my rental was still open. I called the 800 number to find out why. The representative connected me to the Washing Blvd location. The person there claimed that they had had a computer problem that prevented them from checking the trailer in. He did go out to the lot and check it in while I was on the phone, but the fact that I had to follow up was ridiculous.

I can’t think of anything to improve. This was a very easy rental I came and picked up the cargo van I had requested everything was clean. It was full of gas so I didn’t even need to bother with that I used it. I returned it. It was easy to return, and all the people I dealt with were very pleasant and personable.

The staff when I moved in was quite condescending, asked unclear questions during the check in process (have you moved in to the storage unit already, they meant the online move in process but I interpreted it as physically moving in) and showed visible frustration when I didn't correctly answer the question. They generally talked down to me for the interaction. I had also bought a lock because I was unaware the unit came with a free lock. When we arrived at the unit, the staff member took the free lock back with them because I had already bought a lock. On move out, my move out request was not processed for a week. Only after I got a warning that I would be billed for another month and I reached out to the manager did my move out get finalized.

Lots of confusion among the staff here. I cleaned out my storage unit and they said they would close the account, but they never did and I was charged an extra month even though unit was empty and I had done everything I was supposed to do.

Asst. Mgr. Mike Nardozzi was very helpful and great to deal with. He secured a double storage unit for us, near closing hours, when we showed back up with a loaded T 20 moving truck because the final destination was unexpectedly occupied, beyond our control on 7/29. We came back 8/4 to complete the move. Mike also stopped by to check to see if our unit was satisfactory and working out for us, on his way home from Washington Ave. store on 7/29. I would use this location again without hesitation. Thank you.

This experience would have a higher rating except that 1) I wasn't told the unit wasn't pull up and that stairs were required to access it - until after the contract was signed. there is no lift or ramp in the facility; 2) Uhaul connected me with a moving team to help get the things up and told me they were booking them at a 2 hour slot, but that it would be prorated for the 30 min that i needed them for. When they arrived they said their was no prorate and that has never been the case. I asked the Uhaul office about this and they said that I have to call Moving Help to resolve. For a busy person, this is not ideal to have to chase this down and make sure the costs were as promised. I tried to call once but the wait time was long so will try again.

The staff at the Washington Blvd facility didn’t have an idea of the processes there! When I had questions or wanted to close my contract they didn’t know how to respond. They asked among themselves trying to find out how to do their job. Very disappointing experience.

Two staff couldn’t find my online reservation and had to be processed as a walk-in; am concerned about double-billing. The first building access code provided did not work. The call button on the door did not work; had to go back to the other store to get help. The actual building has water-logged hallways and smells like a dead body.

The issue isn't whether or not the storage facility had enough light or if it was clean enough either my issue is I paid the cost $124 for the month which was due November 21st was only in there 1wk and what you chose to refund to me was $2.81 of that which was paid. POOR BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

U-Haul Moving and Storage on Washington Blvd is a hard working storage and truck rental business. The staff is on point and knowledgeable. The Eastside of Pittsburgh where this U-Haul store is located is in a very difficult area and neighborhood. Vince the Manager, Helen T. also know the area and how to deal with the residents and customers. Along with the rest of the crew the U-Haul on Washington Blvd is a valuable and necessary part of the community! I wouldn't trust my items for storage or truck rental to any place else! U-Haul Moving and Storage on Washington Blvd...You're the TOPS!!!!

The office wasn’t open. I didn’t know that the dolly wasn’t placed in the rental truck prior to leaving. There was no way that I could get one during the hours that I moved. We had a hard time getting furniture into the storage unit as a result. The employees were friendly and professional. Ultimately we got everything done. It was not an easy task though.

Don't get me wrong. I love U Haul and have been renting trucks from you guys for as long as i can remember. I do have to say, the storage rental experience with you guys was not a good one. First off I reserved an outside/drive up unit but upon arrival i was informed by the girl at the office that there were no more outside,drive up units available and was given an inside 2nd floor unit and was told this the only unit available. There is a set of 12-14 steps you had to climb to get to my unit. This was excruciating having to move a three bedroom house having to climb these stairs with home furniture. This facility should be equiped with ramps. You guys supplied carts but what's the use of carts when you have to climb a flight of steps. Long story short this made for a very long and strenuous moving day and another one on the move out. Install ramps guys PLEASE!!!
