Overall, I was happy with the service. However, once my box was in transit, I was told that they would not be able to deliver to my house, because they said the street was too narrow for their truck, and that I would have to hire somebody else to do that. While it was easy through u-haul to find that moving help, it still felt like I was being scammed, because I believed that once I had engaged u-haul's services that everything was set. If they had checked up front if delivery was possible, and informed me prior to me accepting the service that there would be an extra charge, that would have been ok, but as it was, I had to spend an extra $400.Gavin S.

The Manager Darlene ( if that is actually her name)cut my rental short because she double booked the trailer. She insisted on picking up my Ubox, even though I still had over a week on my rental, so she could have the trailer. I asked to extend for another month and she refused stating she had other customers and they would be picking up the box the next day and storing my things. After our conversation she thought she had hung up the phone but she hadn't and she began talking about about me and making rude comments to which the office staff were all laughing. When I said I can still hear you she slammed the phone and hung it up. I called back and asked to speak to a manager and she refused stating she was the manager. When I did have my furniture return it was damaged. the armoire had fallen over in the box and the leg of the sofa went through the door. Also, I had a vintage Chinese nesting table that was completely broken apart. I contacted Uhaul on March 16th and was told someone would contact me the next day regarding my damaged furniture . No one has called yet. Of course none of this would have happened if Darlene hadn't over booked the trailer and forced me to have the box picked up. I have never had such poor customer service in my life. I will say the driver Felicia was quite nice and helpful.Johhna J.

I was lied to about arrival time of ubox. It took a week to be delivered and was told it needed to be emptied within 3 days because it was needed, in spite of my having to pay rent for storage.Norine T.

Goods are not expected to arrive in San Diego until September 2021. We did not require furniture pads. Felicia of the Honolulu office provided exceptionally good and courteous service. Many thanks! Contact with the local store was difficult at first and quite frequently there was nobody at the front desk. It didn't bother me but, might make theft an issue? I think the added staff corrected the problem? Might be a good idea to have phones forwarded to cell phones?Scott B.
