Please communicate with each other qnd update your website to be more informative. For 3 weeks the updates on my box status is still in LA storage. If I did not make 7 phone call to them and check daily they still tell me the same status with the 1 in the website but its already arrived several days beforehand. Also please get an emergency technician to fix anything broke in a day. I have to wait another 4 days because their forklifts broke and cant be fixed. This cause everybody day ruined.kenneth B.

This was overall a horrible experience. The customer service team was polite and friendly, but were not able to provide any real help. I spent hours and hours on hold trying to combine an order because I had to add a 3rd container. The system is horrible. The website and systems were regularly down. I would never recommend this service to anyone.Robert M.

A couple of dishes were broken, but the U-Box was supposed to are delivered in Springfield, IL on 4/14. I was even notified the day before as to the time, as well as the day of to schedule the pickup of the empty U-box on 4/15. BUT, on 4/14 I was informed that there was a delay. I finally tracked down someone that told me that our U-box was still in Los Angeles. It was finally delivered on 4/19. We were told that we would be refunded $50 for each day it was late. Every step in this process was terrible. I would have rather paid 3X the price and had movers take care of this then use this â€œprocessâ€. Between every aspect of scheduling the boxes, picking up the boxes, scheduling to rent a pick up, schedule ubox pick up, all of it took 3-4 phone calls each. I'm going to recommend my friends and family to NEVER use Uboxes for anything. This has been horrendous. I'm currently waiting on a return phone call that I was promised 2 days ago. That never came. I was on the phone for 40 minutes and transferred 4 times 2 days ago just to setup a time to pick up my boxes. It was never fixed. I was never contacted back like scheduling assured they would do. If I could rate this experience in the negative I would. Every person at each facility and part of the process was clueless and constantly blaming â€œthe systemâ€ any time they didn't know what was going on.Conor F.
Where, I have issues is the way U-Haul conducts some of their business, your computer systems constantly go down and the employees at the facilities have to deal with irate customers which is not fair to them. The reasons I am not rating U-Haul Excellent is because when I picked up my first U-Box the trailer came off the ball hitch a mile and a half away from the facility and fortunately for me my mechanic friend lives five minutes away from where it came off and used his heavy duty jack to raise it up lock it on so it was secure. Before I called him I called "AAA" who contacted U-Hauls Roadside assistance and I was on hold for more than thirty minutes then I called my friend. If I waited for U-Haul's Roadside Assistance to help I would have turned old and gray. The other issues was the U-Boxes were suppose to be delivered to my storage facility and the person I discussed this with apparently changed it to me picking them up so me and my movers wasted four hours as I was constantly on the phone first with a person from San Diego, California who informed me they put in the notes I was to pick up the U-Boxes myself, he referred me to your traffic control, who had to cancel that reservation and make a new one for the next day. I was in route to pick up the truck and U-Boxes when they told me they changed to another location which had U-Boxes and the pickup truck. I got to their location and their computers went down, so they sent me to the U-Haul Warehouse but the warehouse does not have vehicles, so I to call Traffic Control and thank goodness I got the same very, very nice lady from the day before who fixed this reservation to transition this reservation to the 4100 Western Avenue location in Los Angeles, California a few minutes from the warehouse so I could finally pick up my U-Boxes and get things packed up "Yippee." The next issue was the quotes for shipping my stuff one way which I was quoted over the phone "$2,420.00" for one way and for round trip $3,440.00 but when I was ready to ship my stuff U-Haul would not honor that quote and claimed they only see the $3,440.00 in the system. For all the inconveniences it cost me a lot of time and money that it shouldn't have, which is sad because you have some very good hard working people at the facilities doing the best they can with what they are given. Your executives need to stop running U-Haul like a third rate company and do justice by your employees who know how to use company sense to get the job done right. If you need to overhaul the computer system then do it because this happened on a Saturday and a Sunday at various locations I had to go to.Darryl W.
This entire experience was confusing and frustrating. While the people I interacted with were friendly, Uhaul makes the communication process unnecessarily complicated. Place an order, then get a bunch of texts that you need to call. Call, then no one knows what you are talking about. Further, the staff often say things conflicting with the emails and order receipts you get. If I could give the women who drop off and pick up the containers 10 stars I would. They are amazing at what they do, courteous, and skilled.Jonathan W.
The whole transfer was not smooth from the beginning. I had requested the box for two days to load it with my furniture, after they confirmed that, the driver informed me when she dropped it off at my place in Atlanta that there were no drivers in two days and it needed to be picked up the very following day. The confirmed drop off date in LA was supposed to be on March 31st, and my whole move in date was planned around that date. It was delayed until the following Sunday causing lots of stress and wasted money to buy a mattress and chairs and other stuff to survive the few days without my stuff. And on top of that, even though I had filed a complaint and promised a supervisor was going to call to solve the issue and address it, no one called until this day, and almost each representative I spoke to dismissed my concerns and acted in such a way that doesn't even come close to good customer service. By far, that was the worst experience I had to deal with moving from one place to another.Sam S.

The process of confirming the delivery was tedious and burdensome. I had to reach out multiple times in advance to confirm the delivery time and date and then had to reconfirm again on morning of delivery. When the truck finally showed up (at the very end of my delivery window) they did not have my box. I then had to spend close to 40 minutes on the phone with the Phoenix office (because the LA branch was non-responsive and the delivery driver hung up on me) just to get someone to come back with my box several hours after my agreed upon window. This was absolutely one of the worst and most time consuming customer service experiences I have ever had. If not for the excellent service in the Phoenix location I don't know that my box would ever have showed up.Jennifer C.

I was not made aware of the delivery process and that I would not know an estimated time of delivery until the day before it arrived. This made it difficult to coordinate with movers which I had already booked. It was also very difficult to get a hold of the right people at Uhaul. Several dropped calls and I was transferred a lot in order to talk to the correct person even after calling the number that was left on my voicemail.Allyson D.

Answering your questions honestly above - it looks like you guys did great. But honestly my whole UBox experience was TERRIBLE from start to finish - it was the most stressful thing. 1) The right size trailers were multiple times not available, in the end we found 1 x trailer but I had 2 x boxes - which meant 2 x trips and I did not have the time in my building to do it in time 2) Everything is SO disconnected and nothing talks to each other: U-Haul storage doesn't work with UBox which doesn't work with Moving Help - it's honestly like coordinating 3 x different companies to make it all work on time, if one component needs a time change it was on me to work with all the other parts to get the time changed - and I spent endless hours on the phone 3) Each time my movers were delayed >1 hr at the facilities - which put the moving times significantly off (a problem when dealing with buildings that give you a narrow window to move in) 4) Jesus christ it was so so expensive - to get my box to me was a $4000 bill that I was expecting closer to $2000 5) There was no warning at all that most metropolitan buildings do not allow UBoxes on site overnight (the standard delivery mechanism) - this is common across the whole country I've found out now- and it is the responsible thing to let people know this Overall I will never be using UBox again - it was such a stressful experience to coordinate the move. My U Box was a hopping 10 days late. I was on the phone with them almost everyday and no one could let me know where it was or when it was arriving and they kept saying it will arrive â€œtomorrowâ€. Eventually it arrived 10 days late.Michael W.

Remove the STAPLES from the outside ( cover) of the Pods. I cut my hands trying to undo the velcro from the cover. There MUST have been 20-30 staples sticking out of the cover. Customer service was beyond poor. No call backs for over a week. Bills emailed to me were incorrect. Was overcharged for 2nd pod shipped. Was on the phone on hold with U Haul for over 6 hours just waiting to get some feedback and customer satisfaction. There was none. It will be a LONG time before I use U-Haul again. Poorly run business. They care NOTHING for their customers. There are other Pod Shippers. Use them.Fred H.

I have given feedback, along the way, to no avail. Hours and hours of my time, down the drain, both on the phone and in person, when I had appointments. Appointments that I made to access my Ubox were totally disregarded, lost in your system, or delayed for more than two hours, over 50 per cent of the time. The people who work in your warehouse are nice, but that can't begin to tip the scales of poor customer service, chaos, and hours trying to rectify overcharging.denise C.

I was told I would receive a call by 5pm the day before drop off and i called around 4:30 to check (because online it said office closed at 5pm) and they said i would receive call by 5pm. around 5pm - no call so i called and sat on hold for almost 2 hours (disconnected and transferred NUMEROUS times) - FINALLY got through and was told they were running behind - which is ok but 2 hours behind would have appreciated being told that when i called at 4:30 or just receiving a call or text about it. it was still another hour before i was told drop off time. HOWEVER - the girl who dropped them off was FANTASTIC and extremely nice.Courtney H.

There were ZERO updates on any information regarding my boxes. I would call MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY to check in with the status of delivery. Both boxes were shipped late. I never got a single notification about shipment by uhaul itself. My boxes arrived and got ZERO NOTIFICATION they had arrived. I called every day multiple times a day for 2 weeks straight and called 3 TIMES on the original arrival date and customer service STILL said my box had NOT arrived. WHEN IN FACT THEY HAD ARRIVED!! Then when I go to ask for my daily $50 refund I'm told they arrived on time and that there is NO RECOLLECTION OF MY PHONE CALLS DAILY. HOW CONVENIENT!! I WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN FOR ANY SERVICE!JAIMEE G.
Overall I had a pretty terrible experience with my U-box. The box did not arrive on the promised day and, despite reaching out to U-haul numerous times around the scheduled date, was unable to get reliable information. I was given different information by different representatives which ultimately led to a ton of frustration and negatively impacted the moving experience. I was told by one member of the traffic department that there was absolutely no way to contact the moving company/driver transporting the box and subsequently found out that was very much possible. Even once I found that out, the driver/company was unresponsive for over a day, even as the box was not being delivered on the promised day. I was eventually able to get in touch with Kyle Hiatt and I will say that he and his team were BY FAR the most helpful people I spoke with, both as far as providing information and helping me retrieve my box as soon as possible. However, nearly everyone else at U-haul that I spoke with gave me unreliable/inconsistent information and it feels unacceptable that a box would not be delivered on the promised date and that all the while no one at U-haul was able to provide information on the whereabouts of the box. Overall, a terrible moving experience and I am extremely unlikely to choose U-haul again soon.Hunter P.
The actual pick up and delivery of my U-box worked perfectly. I have no complaints there. The people are friendly and helpful. I do however have a complaint about contacting U-Haul in general. I am on hold no less than five minutes each and every time I call, sometimes longer. I don't understand that. Since this was a cross-country move requiring several calls on both ends for confirmations and/or questions, the waste of time waiting on the phone has negatively impacted the entire experience.Ellen S.

This was the worst experience I have had with with this company the constant hold and wait times just to get somebody on the phone. The way I was handled the lies that we're fed to me the amount of money I had to keep giving because of poor communication the amount of stress I had with this move was not smooth the first man lied to me he told me 1 box will fit a 1 bed room apartment which was a lie so I had to get second box pay another 85.00 for the box and another 1,1320.00 for shipping after I had already paid for 1 box 1,349.00 for the first shipping box but because I was lied to I had to come up with more money.. then moving help booked movers who NEVER SHOWED UP. So I had to pay more money for same day movers and I had to pay for them twice because again the uhaul agent lied to me and said everything will go in one box then I booked moving help to deliver my things to my home And the agent name Ana booked the reservation wrong after I paid 198.00 in advance for moving help because she booked this wrong I had to pay in total 487.00 for next day movers then the movers called me and said you have to give us more money for my Miles I explained to him I have already paid 487.00 what is that covering ?? And he said you still need to pay me for my miles then I was charged for random 40.00 because the Morning help didn't fold blankets and said it was some bags left in the box which I never saw so this experience has just been the worstAlexandria C.

Box was so late, no one could tell me where it was or when it would be here. Calling and getting hung up on, people saying they would call or email back and never following up, 2+ hours on hold...When my box finally arrived you told me I had to pick it up immediately to avoid being charged for another month of storage despite the fact that you delivered it late!!! This was the worst experience I have ever had with moving. It ended up costing me much more than anticipated because I was never given the proper information to make this transaction smooth & successful. My Ubox deliveries were delayed 2/3 days at my first location, and now I'm being told I must wait over a month for them to arrive at my new home. Furthermore, because all Uhaul trucks were booked I had to purchase moving help. If I had been told to schedule my pickup & delivery window I would have done so when I made my initial reservation. Very inaccessible customer service and no solutions offered so far. I would never recommend the ubox service to anyone after this stressful experience.Brock B.

Make sure your drop-off date of the boxes are correct, the two boxes were four days late for my drop-off in new Orleans, each day someone would call and say maybe today. i flew down to accept the boxes, and i had to change my flight to be there because they were so late. The initial UHaul box was delivered on time but was not picked up on time. The delay I think was caused by an issue with the pickup (truck issues). The delay caused my appointment for Ubox delivery in Knoxville to push out by 3 days. I was told initially the pickup delay wouldn't affect my delivery in Knoxville. So when I arrived in Knoxville, I had to call scheduling and have them change to deliver per the original agreement.Antonio J.

After my reservation was messed up on uhauls end, I spent multiple hours waiting on hold all week to fix the problem. When I was assured the problem with my reservation was fixed, I was told on delivery day my boxes would not be coming. After being stranded for a day, our boxes arrived 5 hours late the next day. I then received an angry phone call two days later saying I wasn't there for my boxes to be picked up, when I never received a call to schedule pick up in the first place. I put a tracker into the U-box, so I know how it was moved. It was picked up after loading on May 3rd and moved to 59th Street U-Haul storage facilty. Soon it was moved to the freight company (SetOne Logistics?) and it was sitting there until the 21st or 22nd! More than two weeks! The tracker shows that it will arrive today, soon or has arrived about now, 6 days late! More than three weeks after ir was loaded. Not U-Haul's fault reaally but without the tracker I wouldn't know waht was happenoing, as U-haul never tracks it although they are the responsible party. Thank you, anyway.geza S.
My experience with U-Haul has been nothing short of terrible. Customer service has been incredibly rude, difficult to contact, and many that I have spoken to are unaware of their protocols. I made arrangements days and at times weeks in advance, but the U-box was not ONCE available during my reservation. I have now spent at least 15 hours on hold with your company and am completely infuriated by how poor the service, the quality of care, and overall product are. Upon completing my move, I will not use your service again in the future nor recommend your service to anyone else. My ubox took 3 weeks to arrive, and I was guaranteed in my contract to have my box delivered by May 3rd and it did not arrive until the 7th despite multiple phone calls trying to get my things. I missed out on 3 days of work because of the tardiness of my ubox as it contained much of my equipment I use for work. I lost hundreds of dollars by the ubox not meeting its contract requirements.Melanie S.
