They gave us a truck that had the check engine light on, said they didn't have another truck to give but insured our safety.. upon drop off to Melbourne location, they informed me that the cylinders were misfiring and that we are lucky we made it through the 3 hour drive without the truck breaking down.Tiana M.
Clean and repair the vehicle would be first start. The cab arear was filthy and full of ashes, the engine cover was not seated properly and rattled and made it loud and hot in there. The passenger door rubber trim kept falling out on you as you get in and out. The engine and transmission definitely need work. I would say it does 0-60 in about 5 minutes. Bad acceleration and it shakes , rattles and rolls down the roadway. Worst truck I have ever rented.John P.

Office was closed though hours indicated it was open. Someone on site finally came out and took posession of the truck key. He was quite friendly and accommodcating, but the office issue was bothersome.THOMAS H.

I reserved a truck, with a pick up of 8:00 in the morning through mobile ordering. As I arrived at the location and tried to complete the pick up process online, I was notified that I needed to wait for somebody to give me the keys, and that would be at 9:30 AM when they opened. I had movers scheduled to arrive at my home at 9 AM. Movers are paid by the hour. They were already enroute. The associate arrived at the rental location at 9 AM, unlocked the facility, and began to return previously rented trucks. I was then notified that the equipment I had requested along with the truck, two dollies and some pads, were unavailable. He offered to give me a appliance dolly, which is not the same thing. By the time I was able to complete the transaction and leave the facility it was 9:45 AM, with the movers already at my location with nothing to do because I didn't have the truck at our agreed-upon time. I'm not really certain what the point of online ordering was, since I needed to spend an additional 90 minutes waiting for an associate to show up, resulting in additional fees due to the movers for their time, as well as the inconvenience of not being able to use the equipment that I had requested. This caused me aggravation, as well as more money out of pocket to the movers, because they were unable to complete the job in the estimated time frame due to lack of the truck to load. When we reached our destination, it caused additional stress and aggravation, because we did not have dollies to work with, and we needed to unload the truck completely by hand.RoxAnne I.
The reason why I would not recommend this location is we put fuel into the truck and filled it where the image said to fill it. 5/8 of a tank. (What an odd spot to fill to. Now I know why). However since it was an after hours drop off we were not able to speak with the associate and he claims that we were short two gallons. $11 and some change. The needle on that truck doesn't even move with two gallons of fuel. I know this is not alot but imagine if he does this to all the people renting it. The fees add up over the course of the year and he is ripping people off. There was also a $20 cleaning fee. We moved 1 countertop that was 10 feet long and was wrapped in blankets. I really want to know what he found in the truck to have to clean it. If you ask me this dealer is not reputable and has really put a bad taste in my mouth for UHaul.Drew C.

We returned this truck on FULL and we were still charged for 1 gallon of gas. We filled the truck within less than 1/4 mile away. I know for a fact that this truck got good gas mileage because of the distance we drove and the amount we only needed to put it.SANDY P.

The truck A/C didn't work The back door was difficult to use and the cable on the right side was broken that was supposed to help pull the door open and closed. The fuel efficiency was very bad The shifter got stuck between park and reverse multiple timesROHAN G.

U haul should ensure that all your locations have dollies and pads. This location was out of pads and the truck did not have the dollie onboard. The location employee explained that the pads all went out on one way rentals and the dolly was missing when truck was returned. U haul should have a way to replenish these items to the locations to ensure they are available for rentEdward G.

Asked staff to look at truck On arrival to ensure gas was correct and that truck was clean on return, staff declined. Later charge my card for 3 gallons of gas (gas was correct on drop off) have pictures to prove this. Poor service!!!!!!Vicky C.

I was overbilled for fuel after drop-off due to amount in tank being mis-reported by the drop-off location. I filled the tank and took a picture of the fuel gauge showing FULL but the reported amount on my receipt was 7/8. I called the location to discuss and was told by representative that they couldn't help me, that I had to call 1800 number. I called the 1800 number and had to wait on hold a very long time, but eventually a very helpful and nice representative named Gabi was able to assist me and get the mistaken charge refunded.Cayce B.

I am very disappointed that I was able to rent to hand trucks, and several other things online however, when I went to pick up the U-Haul truck, I was told that they do not rent these things out. It set my schedule behind by about an hour because I had to go to Home Depot and rent all these items that were unavailable at the uhaul pickup but that the website had let me rent. If the store doesn't have the items for rent, than the uhaul website should not let you rent them. This is just bad business.MICHAEL R.
The truck that we rented was not maintained whatsoever. It needs a SEVERE front end alignment and then some. We thought the wheels would come off any second and as we were driving for 8 hours, we were also more cautious to do anything. For example, you can only go a maximum of 60 mph. Any speed above 60, the entire truck is swaying and the front wheels were wobbling so much, it was too much. Parts of the wheels were also rusted. It's quite clear that this particular truck has not been maintained at all. I'm not blaming the location only for the fact that this U-Haul could've came from any other locations. I appreciate the staff as to verifying the estimated mileage I put in as it could've been an error on my end.Adam F.

We scheduled an after hours, 8:30 PM, but there was no access to the vehicle, keys, pads, dollies. The APP told us to return at 9:30 the next day. We were delayed by 13 hours. Everything went well the next day but we were still 13 hours behind. That resulted in driving through the night.JAMES R.

Trucks were filthy! Particularly in this age of COVID, to see that no one is even trying to make truck clean is pathetic. Check-in was a bit chaotic with a lot of confusion (human error), but staff were polite and friendly. My low racing is driven by the dirty condition of (both) trucks we were in.CINDY C.

When booked online it said I could pick the truck up at 7:30am using the uhaul app. When I arrived it said I had to wait till they opened at 9:30am. So I had to leave and come back 2 hours later. Secondly, I requested 2 hand trucks and a floor dolly and when I got there they said they didnt rent those so I had to go to home depot 6 miles away. All my previous experiences with uHaul have been great. This one was a bummer.Derek M.

The attendant should have notified me that I would need to return the truck with the same amount of fuel as what it had at pickup. Having to spend an extra $51.00 for the use of the truck has me very dissatisfied with U-Haul.Allen M.

When I arrived I had to stand in the hot sun for 30 minutes because customer service rep did not ensure that I had a password or link the reservation to my email correctly. The 24/7 share options wasted our time and effort. We were instructed to download the app and do everything on the website. Cust svc rep took the cc info but didn't finished the process and we had to wait for the people from u-store to assist us in getting the rented truck.
