Daryll GThe drop off location was changed from keysville va to south hill va after we picked up the truck abs that location was over an hour away from original drop off location. Not happy about that. Very inconvenient and I had to take an unscheduled day off of work to accommodate u-haul’s in ability to accept trucks at desired and reserved location. Would have investigated other options for this move if I had known that drop off was close to an hour and half away from initial location
Michelle NTerrible customer service. Charged me extra for gas and then told me there was nothing they could do about it. I had to reach out to uhaul, get in contact with a manager, and send photo proof of the gas mileage when I recieved the truck. THATS YOUR JOB I DO NOT WORK FOR UHAUL.
Trae PLoved the location to pick up the UHaul trailer. They even helped back up my truck and hooked up the trailer. Awesome customer service.

Larry HNothing whatsoever! Very clean and nice location as well. Although I didn’t see much equipment available to rent. The great thing about this location it stayed open until 6pm! Which it allowed me to deliver the truck in time without accruing another day to my invoice.

Merbin GI was not aware this was a remote, unattended site and did not know what to do. The phone number on my paperwork was never answered . I called the pickup site office and was told to check out online. The online process was simple but renters should be told beforehand that this drop off site is unattended.

Susan LThe young lady that assisted me was amazing and very helpful. However, the remaining staff acted like I was invisible. I do not think the experience would have been as good if I was not assisted by the person who helped me. She has a great personality and customer service.
SHERWOOD BThe truck was rented with the gas hand on the 7/8. It was returned with that SAME amount and i got charged 21.00 for it being on 3/4. It says it was 4 gallons short and even if that was the case why was i charged 5.00 a gallon? I had just put 60.00 in it prior to returning it.
mykayla oThe online process to reserve a truck was a horrible and frustrating experience. Thankfully I was able to connect with Helen at the Twin Outfitters and she provided outstanding customer service and made the experience easy and quick with no frustrations. You need to go back to allowing people at their locations to make the reservations. Your online service had my first pick up in NC which is an entirely different state. I had requested the Crossroads Emporium in Buffalo Junction, VA. When I called they then set me up for Lynchburg, VA which is 1 1/2 hours away. Then when I called I was sent to South Boston, VA. about 40 minutes away.
Donna HWent to location to make reservation in person . Everything went fine and was all set up . Once U haul got involved things went downhill . Got a call from u haul to verify reservation and everything was still set . got an email from u haul to call twin lakes to verify yet again, which I did . They confirmed AGAIN . Showed up on day of rental and no truck there . The lady at twin lakes was very apologetic and stated she called u haul on Thursday to remind them she needed truck for Saturday and only got a voicemail with no callback from them . I got stuck with a 15 ft truck instead of the 26 ft truck reserved . Had a moving crew standing around costing me $100 an hour while this got resolved . Their mistake easily cost me an extra $200-$300 more with movers as well as extra mileage cost having to make 2 trips instead of one . U-HAUL SUX !!!!
JAMES ATwin Outfitters is great! However, Uhaul never answers there customer service number AND i feel they overcharge for their trucks.....no deal for repeat customers and ZERO discounts when THEY screw up.

LARRYEUGENE HI’ve used this location previously and had actually looked to book at another closer location, I’m glad I didn’t. It’s something about this location that is just “easy”. Moving is complicated and stressful enough, but this felt like I was boring a truck from a friend. The lady that works there is always so pleasant. If I need a U Haul in South Hill, VA, it will definitely always come from this location.
ASHLEYMICHELLE HSee note on pick up dealer comments. Dealers were find…the national sevice was poor. You should worry more about your national service than the dealers
RICHARD BI did not know this business existed but I will visit it whenever I need the kinds of supplies they offer. I did not get their names but they were both very helpful getting me checked in.

RICHARDALLEN AThe lock on the lock box was difficult to get off. Hard to tell where the tumbler needed to be at at exactly to open the lock. The alternate Contact to verify your account was clumsy as well.
