I had reserved a truck at a different location, but I was informed the afternoon before my reservation that I had to instead drive to this location 2 hours out of my way. There were no U-Haul representatives to help when we had issues getting the truck. Further, I asked for mattress pads and none were in the truck.

When I reserved my UHaul 3 weeks ago, I was told to pick up the truck at a location near Bristol, WI. When I arrived on time, I was told there were no trucks and I needed to go to Illinois to get one. This was about 20 minutes away. I drove the 20 minutes to Illinois to the location listed above. Everyone was very nice, but it is in a shady part of town. It was a liquor store and tobacco outlet with bars on the windows, mirrors everywhere, and a very poor clientele. I did not feel safe. Furthermore, the man behind the "caged in" counter couldn't get the internet to work so he had to call UHaul directly to check us out. This took about 45 minutes. Overall, this process wasted an hour and a half of my time, and I was sent to a terrible area where my safety was not guaranteed. I booked early so that this process would be smooth and I had a truck reserved. I was very upset and probably will not book with uhaul again.

When I called the 1st. location in Waukegan (which I had requested as the closest pick up point to where I was picking items up from a storage facility that was located in Waukegan) I called the day before our scheduled pick up to verify that the truck would be there, I was informed by that establishment that NO, the size truck I reserved was not available. No one from Uhaul bothered to call me and inform me of that fact. They told me to call the 800 number for Uhaul and find out where I should go. Which I was then given a second location on Washington St. in Gurnee. The day of pick up which was Thur. Nov. 9, that facility called me and said NO truck was available (size requested was not there. Another phone call to Uhaul sent me to a 3rd. location in Wadsworth...This caused me more stress and uncertainty. Finally a truck!!! When I asked about a dolly, I was told none were available. Your reservation system leaves me wondering what kind of training you give your staff, especially when I had to do all the calling. MY IMPRESSION, WOULD I RECCOMEND OR USE UHAUL AGAIN.........NO, NO, NO, ABSOULUTELY NOT !!!! Uhaul's saving grace was the Uhaul facility in Paducah, KY.

The attendant would have to stop processing the paperwork every time an alcohol or cigarette customer would need to check out. Process took too long. No offer to help attach the trailer.

Was wrong directions by the clerk that spike poor English. Store had small u haul sign in the weeds hidden from the highway. Had to come back in an hour because the clerk had to wait for someone else to do the processing then took another 45 minutes to do paperwork. Clerk had no idea how to hook up the dolly and when I had everything hooked up the dolly had broken brake light and tail light. I was very disappointed with my experience.

They took an hour and a half to get us the truck and we almost missed the movers coming to our house to help. Then, they charged us $70 for furniture pads and dollies and didn't give us any of them.
