The owner was not there for 30 min at the time of pickup. He needs to be mindful of the scheduled pickup before he schedules anything else. The truck was parked several blocks down and should've been moved to closer to be ready for pickup.Joshua S.

This location was lovely and they did their job 100% to the best of their ability. However, I do have a grievance with Uhaul as a whole. First of all, I was able to make an after hours drop off reservation for a location that didn't accept after hours drop offs. So I was left sitting in the rental trying to get a hold of Uhaul customer service. I never reached anyone via the telephone, despite being told I'd wait an estimated 8 minutes for a rep, and I waited on the phone for an hour total. About 45 minutes into it I contacted the chat on your website. That customer service was lovely and very effective, however they had little information to offer me about the larger mess up with my reservation and I had to essentially clean up the mess myself while risking incurring additional charges. I was displeased with the ending of the situation, but it's none of the workers I spoke to fault. It's the fault of a company that has a problem, like a reservation system glitch, and no one who can provide a solution. They leave the problem unsolved so either the customer goes out of their way to ensure the problem is solved, or they don't and the company gets to make money off of them. Fix your reservation system. Don't allow people to make reservations for times that locations don't provide service. Know which locations provide after hours service and fix it on the site where it says open 24/7 via your phone. Because they clearly weren't open 24/7 via my phone. That's how to improve for the next customer. Fix your website.Amber B.

This was a terrible experience. Juan, the contractor, didn't have the key to the truck I rented so I had to wait 20-30 minutes while he shuffled around to try to find it. He never explained that they would be closing shortly thereafter and what the process was for returning the truck after hours so it was a drama to return the key. He misquoted the starting mileage on the truck so I was overcharged by 20 miles. This place is SUPER shady and U-Haul should reconsider its contract with them. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE.Lily C.
I was very satisfied with the service from Juan at the auto repair place. Unlike the negative reviewers who need robotic corporate stiffness, I actually appreciated the chill and down to earth service. I went to pick up my rental truck and the guy there told me the man that handles the rentals was not there . Then when I asked can he call him he informed me that the man had turned his phone off. When we arrived to the location it looked like it was closed and was a junk yard as there were old cars dismantled everywhere and car parts throughout the parking lot. To be honest I was not sure I was in the correct location until I did see the truck I rented across the street parked. I did not receive any paper work showing the details of my rental so I was a bit uneasy when I left but I had the keys and the truck drove great. The gas was at 3/4 full so I did return it almost full.Antonio S.

Phone number given for establishment was no longer in service. When I picked up the truck, the gates were closed. Fortunately, I was able to get someone's attention inside the compound to get the truck. Otherwise, I might have just left with no other options.TIGLAO L.
Pick up was scheduled for 9AM. No one was there until 10:30AM. There was debris from broken down cars everywhere. I reserved a regular dolly but the only dolly available was an appliance dolly with a dirty strap. I reserved furnature pads but non were available. I was told Icould purchase other items once I arrived but there were no supplies. I had to drive 10 minutes in the opposite direction to pick up the pads and other supplies I needed. I will say the man who helped me at both locations were friendly once I was helped. The truck ran well but it could have at least used a windshield cleaning.Rene M.

I would not rent from this location again. I understand it's a dealer and not a direct uhaul location but the service was very questionable. The gates are closed and in order to get in you have to yell for someone. Once I was let in he tried filling out information and he could not type properly or get any of my information correct. When I arrived to return it the office was empty. I arrived early and called uhaul to which they said he â€œmost likely won't be there until your time slot endsâ€ so I left the keys in the drop box. I drove back at the end of my time slot and again the office was empty so I had to hope it was an acceptable return. I was unable to do the online after hours return because I had already put the keys in the drop box and I was within hours of the shop. The equipment was in good condition but I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with my experience. If I could get a refund I would but the effort would be useless. I'd rather hiring a small moving company next time than use uhaul. Very unhappy.erin G.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!! The pick up location is a tire shop/auto repair. I arrived 10 minutes prior to the reservation time. The contact person was NOWHERE to be found. A gentleman who worked at the repair shop finally came over to ask if I needed help. He informed me that Juan, the person I was to meet, was not there and gave me his phone number. I called Juan at 10am (my reservation time). He informed me that he would arrive in 15 minutes. I called him again at 10:15 and he said he was on his way. I got a half hearted apology from him when he finally arrived around 10:30. It then took him another 10-15 minutes to get my paperwork together. He informed me that he did not have the blankets I reserved and I could pick them up at another location just around the corner from where he was. Just around the corner, at 940 W. Florence Ave, was a larger, very professional rental facility with everything you need right there. Miguel Aldana greeted me with a smile and was happy to help me get my blankets. Go see Miguel, stay away from the Manchester location!!! As you can guess, Juan was not there when I returned the truck. I gave the key to the nice gentleman working at the repair shop. No check out procedure nor final paperwork was done. I took a picture of the odometer to ensure I wasn't going to get ripped off with the mileage. Never again!!!Ellyn D.

Terrible customer service. Terrible communication between call service and location. I was then overcharged and had to spend a week trying to get a hold of someone to fix the problem. Horrible. Never using uhaul again.REED W.
The location did not have after hours drop off and when I booked I had asked to drop off after 6 pm on a Sunday, so there was a breakdown in communication. It was extremely inconvenient and trying to figure it out with long hold times to customer support delayed me and hour and inconvenienced friends waiting outside my home. I also had to miss work in order to return it the next morning and was charged the extra mileage. Worst experience.Cherin R.

I arrived as scheduled at 9am for my Uhaul and then due to a computer glitch had to wait almost an hour to leave with the truck. Super annoying, stressful and I had paid workers sitton around for 1.5 hours. Customer service person on 800 # not helpful at all.Julissa T.

The location was completely gated and locked up when I arrived to do an after-hours drop off as advertised on your webpage and on the physical documentation provided to me. Since the gates were all shut, there was no place I could safely leave the truck so I had to keep it overnight. The drop-off location did not open the next day until the late morning the next day, after my 24 hour rental had elapsed, causing me to be charged a late fee. This meant that my 24 hour rental was essentially an 8 hour rental, since there was no possible way to return the truck on time if it was not at the drop-off by 5pm.Jeremy S.

I pre-checked, then waited 30 minutes because the employee couldn't figure out how to complete the transaction. Then when I returned the vehicle, at the exact time I said I would, the employee was at lunch and wouldn't return, and told me to just leave the vehicle and it'll be fine. I told him I wasn't comfortable with that because I expected us to review the vehicle before I walked away, and he said it'd be fine. He refused to return and I couldn't wait or return in an hour, when he said he'd be done with lunch, so I had to leave it. Of course, I videotaped the vehicle but I'm left to trust that nothing happened to the vehicle after I walked away.Statia P.

When I made my reservations I asked for a dozen furniture pads for $10. When got to the the place they didn't have any pads and suggested I go to the the Uhaul rental place several miles away. I stopped by the premises 2 days before my pick up date to make sure everything was in order, during business hours and no one was there. The store next door said that if they're not busy they just close down for a while and return later. No sign, nothing. When I returned my truck all the gates were locked again, so I called the # the guy gave me and I told him I was there to drop off the truck but is was all locked up. He said someone was there. So I had to honk my horn to get their attention. When I visited the place I was very surprised U-Haul had such a place as one of their distributors. On top of this, I feel like I was totally ripped off. First, I received the truck with 1/4 tank of gas. I only drove it 24 miles and I was charged $23 for gas AND $30 fee to fill it up, $53!!! This was supposed to be one of your $19.95/day trucks. My total bill for the truck and a dolly (not an appliance one) was $112.46!! For a 19.95/day truck rental. I picked it up a little after 10:00am and returned it around 4:30 or 5:00pm and only drove it for 24 miles. I'm sorry but I don't have a better word to use than "rip-off".Mark C.
My reservation was scheduled for 8:00 a.m on Sunday. He didn't open until 9:00a.m. My day was very packed and this made me late. He was very polite and said UHAUL should NOT have scheduled 8:00 a.m. because he's not always there at that time. I feel I should recieve some type of accomodation for my inconvenience.Sheri D.

The customer service had some positives and negatives. The guy didn't really go over anything on the contract nor did he explain anything about the truck. He was overall a pleasant person and was nice enough to stop traffic so that I could get on the road safely, which I unappreciated greatly. The truck I rented was in poor condition. The steering was slightly unaligned to the right and the passenger side view mirror moved when on the freeway to where I could see my bind spots. I had to change lanes blindly to get to an exit so that I can fix the mirror. I had to exit three times to fix the mirror and finally gave up and drove with a side view mirror that was not working properly. I paid a lot of money for this rental and expected everything to work properly, especially when it concerns a person's safety. I shouldn't be charged full price for a partially working vehicle.EUGENE G.
