Dropped off rental, employee did nothing to check vehicles in, then I receive a charge for fuel showing less than 1/4 tank of gas, however I refueled at West Salem, WI to over 3/4 full and drove less than 20 miles to drop off location. I never was given any papers to sign, employee took key and said his boss would check it out when he got back from vacation. I feel someone should have checked out vehicle for cleanliness and fuel amount. If not refunded I will never use or recommend U Haul to anyone. I do have receipts for all my gas purchases. Always before the haul was checked out for damage, cleanliness, and fuel level, but not this time. Gary StrasserGARY S.

Terrible communication through the phone. The man that ran the business just happened to stop when we were totally confused about what was happening. He had a hard time with incorrect drop off location after I called about it being wrong. Unlocking was a problem .. Thankful he came in just by chance.Debbie M.

The mobile app for picking up the truck did not work. It kept telling us we were at the wrong location when we were tight by the truck. It would not let us pick it up and we had to wait until the place opened to get the vehicle. NOT HAPPY!!!! We rent Uhauls for our business all the time and need to be able to pick them up on off business hours.Joseph R.

My poor review of this location is not reflective of The Motor Pool LLC or its employees but is instead of the management of said location by U-haul systems and customer service. I made my online truck reservation 5 weeks ahead of time and asked for a specific size truck at a location I knew would be open and fully staffed at pickup should any issues arise. During my confirmation call 2 days prior to pick up I was told I could not get the size truck I requested nor could I get the pick-up location either. I understand that not all requests can be met all the time but it seems silly that literally nothing I requested 5 weeks in advance was honored. Luckily a slightly smaller truck was available at a location less than 10 miles away. The alternate location I was sent to was closed when I attempted to pick up my truck on a Saturday morning. This would not have been a problem had I been notified they would be closed in advance and could have gone through the online checkout process to get the code for the key box ahead of time. Since I was not notified prior to my arrival I had to spend at least 1 full hour on the phone with customer service trying to explain the issue and attempt to understand why I was sent to a location that was closed. On top of these issues, the U-haul app and mobile browser versions of the online checkout system were not functioning properly which prevented me from actually checking out the vehicle remotely. After speaking with at least 4 people at U-haul customer service I was told I would be unable to pick up the vehicle by any other means than the mobile or app versions of their systems. Because of these systems issues I would need to go to another location nearby to find another available vehicle. After my call was transferred to the scheduling department to find another truck nearby the contact there was able to verify my information and check out the truck on my behalf via phone and give me the code for the key box over the phone. This was immediately following a service rep AND a supervisor telling me this could not be done. From start to finish during my rental there were numerous failures of the rental process on U-hauls behalf. 1) My "reservation" was far from a reservation and was in reality much closer to a wish list. 2) Please notify customers that their pick up locations may be closed ahead of time so they can act proactively. 3) If a location is closed, ensure the mobile checkout systems actually function as needed at that specific site. 4) Have consistent processes and procedures for all locations and departments within customer service to deal with these issues when they arise, and avoid mixed or completely opposing messages.Ryan L.
