Storage space of vehicle was filthy, multiple nails had to be picked up that would've damaged my belongings, dust and dirt needed to be swept out. Vehicle was also filled to 3/8 of a tank, and I returned it with 5/8 of a tank, but when returning the app informed that I picked it up with 3/4 of a tank. I took a picture of the gas and odometer when I picked it up to dispute this if need be. The app also did not give me the code to the lock on the truck so I spent 35 minutes on hold waiting for a support resource to tell me the code.

Put the trucks near the front entrance not in the back entrance. There's no available parking in the back entrance to leave my vehicle. Be clear that the trucks are in the back and bring out the truck to the front entrance as it's more convenient to customers.

The entire process was unpleasant at best. I approached the counter about my reservation at 1200 for a truck and dolly, the lady working acted as if my reservation was hard to find. She then told me walk around the entire business center to inspect my truck which I did and the cab and cargo area were both dirty and the mileage was one mile off not in my favor. I had to call the store to ask where my dolly was and her reply was “oh yeah you have to come get it in the front”. So that adds almost a 1/4 mile to the $.89 a mile fee. The employee could have cleaned the vehicle or at least made sure the previous person did and verify the mileage. That employee was not helpful at all and that service was terrible I will never use that again and leave terrible reviews for that business on google and yelp.

They didn't have the size truck I rented. They only had 7 furniture pads and no utility dolly. The truck only had 3/4 tank of gas when I picked it up. I left it with a full tank. I always try to leave this game better than I found them.

I rented a 15 foot truck and the ramp made my move much more easier. I had the best experience with U-Haul. They were very professional and friendly. The prices were very reasonable and I would recommend using them for sure. For just seven dollars, I also rented a four wheel moving dolly that was extremely helpful in the move of furniture. I would highly recommend using U-Haul and paying the few extra dollars of moving materials they have to help.

Good Day I ordered a u Haul pick up from the stone oak location and was called 2 days before to rearrange the pick up at a new location (Blanco) because there were no trucks available. (I placed my order at a loation where it said it was available) I set pick up for 6 am and battled to finnd the vehicle because the vehicle is parked at the back of the building down a back alley behind the dumpsters. At 6am when i log into the app to start my session. It tells me i have to manually pick up from the store which only opens at 9am. I woke up early to move had arrangements with all other movers and deliveries only to have to move everything around for this inconvenience. Then i wait till 9am and go in store to find out that they do not have the dolly I ordered. This was the worst experience i have ever had, and on an already stressful day just to be made worse by this service. UNACCEPTABLE.

It was not the fault of the person working. They were clearly understaffed. However, my check-out took 3 days. ?? Not really understanding that. I am very disappointed with the UHaul overall experience. The storage unit in Horseheads, NY was clean but the people working there were terrible! I was offered a free months storage unit rent when I rented the truck, which will do me no good. I rented a storage unit in Horseheads, NY for 14 months at $124.00 a month. A credit would be more appropriate for me. I called to ask if I could get one, answer was no. I will probably never do business ever again with UHaul. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL! I will share my expericence with everyone I know. Disappointing.

The place was closed, the place to park the vehicle was all but impossible to find, had no key drop, I had to leave my truck behind a strip mall, with out it being locked and with no where to secure it. I was very disappointed in this drop off location.

I received call at 10 am confirming my pick up at 2:30 and let the girl know we were driving from out of town to help move daughter and will be there. We get there at 2:30 and she goes thru check in then let's me know they do not have the appliance dolly I reserved. This information should have been relayed to me when calling to confirm so I could have made arrangements. Go to return and she asks us the mileage and instead of going out the back door she has my husband walk all the way around to back of building in heat to get Mileage and tells us she is going to take care of other customers behind us while we go do that. This whole experience was like a bad joke

I was called by UHaul employee days before picking up truck at stone oak that if I would deliver to blanco location I would receive 30 free miles but instead was charged for going over 31 miles. I was supposed to have only paid for that 1 mile I went over and not the other 30 miles

When I walked into your store on 8/16/18 to make a reservation for 8/17/18, Gilberto Garcia told me the mileage rate was $.79 per mile plus $19.95 for a cargo van + tax. I told him that U-Haul's online advertising for your zip code states that mileage rate is $.69 per mile and that another U-Haul store on Stone Oak Parkway also told me that the mileage rate is $.69 per mile. Gilberto went online and confirmed the rate listed for U-Haul is $.69 per mile. He stated that he would adjust the rate to $.69 per mile once I returned the vehicle on 8/17/18, but that he might not be in on 8/17/18, so to mention to whoever was on duty at 10 a.m. the next day. When I arrived to pick up the van, a young man named Rolando was on duty and I explained the advertising for the mileage rate that I spoke to Gilberto about the prior day. Rolando also checked your U-Haul advertising and he wrote on both the store copy and my copy of the contract that mileage rate was to be charged at $.69 per mile when I returned the van. After 2 1/2 hours of usage, Rolando inspected the vehicle and closed out my bill but he did not give me a copy of the paid receipt and told me that he sent it to my email address. I asked if he had made the adjustment on the mileage rate and he said yes. I came home and found out that I was charged at the higher ($.79/per mile) rate instead for a total difference of $.80. THIS DID NOT LEAVE A FAVORABLE IMPRESSION OF A RETAIL MERCHANT KEEPING THEIR WORD BASED ON THEIR ADVERTISING TO GET CUSTOMERS TO COME TO THEIR ESTABLISHMENT. IT IS THE PRINCIPLE OF THE MATTER OF BEING STRAIGHT-FORWARD AND HONEST THAT KEEPS CUSTOMERS COMING BACK..

Literally the worst experience I've ever had with Uhaul. I did the phone pick up because it seemed like the process was faster but after 20 minutes I finally got approved and then a system error made it seem like my payment hadn't been received. I was not only charged for my uhaul but received no instructions and had no idea where the keys were. I searched for nearly 40 minutes, then spent 18 minutes waiting just to get someone from customer service on the phone and another 34 minutes just to find out the vehicle was not staged for pick up and no one could do anything for me. The only plus was the refund and the $50 to my account for the error but it shouldn't have happened.

The employee at the uhaul location (the mailing spot) was totally incompetent and did not know what he was doing. He did not inform us of the complicated drop off procedure or that the store would be closed at our scheduled drop off time the next day or that we could only drop the truck off at that location. It was a huge headache and took an extra hour and more miles we had to pay for on the rental. Very frustrating experience after an already long moving day.

When I showed up at 9am the business was not open. I waited for 20 minutes and FINALLY an employee opened the store. This is was EXTREMELY unprofessional and apparently not the first time because while I was waiting another customer left a note and told me “this always happens, they typically don't open until 15-30 minutes after 9, I'm leaving this note and they won't have my business anymore.” The note said “guess you don't like opening on time. I'll take my business elsewhere.” I will NEVER use this location again for anything. Horrible Uhaul experience.

The staff person was very friendly and helpful. However, the location was not a major U-Haul site. I could not just park and leave the vehicle in the parking lot nor leave the keys in a dropbox. I had to go inside the business. I found out that they had limited spaces for the trucks behind the retail stripcenter. Fortunately, I was able to leave the truck there because of available space. Somewhat confusing. I will emphasize that I received very attentive customer service.

What a fiasco. Uhaul mistakenly entered me as a same city rental, instead of out of town, so that accrues mileage. Next, my truck was not at the pick up location I requested. When I went to the location of the truck, the equipment I ordered (dolly and blankets) were not inside. Then we loaded up, went to our drop off city, and called to explain the mix up. I was told by management it would be fixed before drop off. When I dropped off the truck in Katy, I again called to make sure I would be charged correctly ($94). When I left, I received a courtesy call from the drop off location clerk that he was instructed by a manager to charge "as is" ($364). Again I had to call another supervisor. Finally, 2 days later, I had the difference credited to the card they charged. The last mistake was that the charges went to my father's amex, not the one I requested when I initially made the reservation online. He gave uhaul his card for security precautions when he picked up the truck for me, not to charge my moving truck. I wax blown away by the number of mistakes made, and not even a $5 off your next rental was offered.

I picked up my unit in Boerne, TX and and drover it 15 miles to San Antonio, TX. When I turned it in one got a call letting me know I was 172 miles over and would be charged $78! Needless to say I was pissed. The staff was helpful and took care of it, but they clearly weren't accurate in their process.

The young man who tried to assist did the best he could by communicating via text with the manager. Took about 1 hour to get the whole ordeal situated. When I finally received the truck the miles were off as well as the gas gauge. The truck is also parked in a very dangerous area for people to get to further more I had to step around dog feces to get in. I was not walked to the truck or shown the truck by anyone.They also asked that the keys be left in the ramp of the vehicle which I thought was very unprofessional. I also rented a dolly from the location on stone oak and that one too was horrible. The manager was absolutely no help she was very defensive and disrespectful. The whole Situation was very disorganized and I will never use U-hail again. I rather pay movers then to go through this again.

Anything.. Doing anything at all would be an improvement. I parked out front in the large parking lot and walked in. After standing for 5 min waiting for acknowledgement the young man at the counter broke away from his personal phone call to ask if I was dropping a truck off. When I said yes, he told me it had to be pulled around back by the other Uhauls, that I'd see a designated parking location. I pulled back out into traffic and made two u-turns to reach the back lot only to find that it was a narrow alley with no signs, Uhauls or designated spots. After 10 minutes of trying to determine if I was in the right place I called my wife, who was in the lobby, to ask the clerk. He was still on his personal call and couldn't give me any information to help me park. So I left it in the best location I could find and asked if he would let me in the back door of the building. He refused but wanted me to take a picture of the mileage and gas gauge. I had to walk back around the entire strip center back to the store front. When I entered he was still on his personal call. He asked for the picture and the keys. I expected some form of paperwork but he said all would be verified through email. He did not look at the truck. He did not print out paperwork. He did not verify check in of my truck. He did absolutely nothing but talk on his phone, which was on speaker the entire time. I asked what his name was and I could hardly understand what he replied both times almost as if to purposely mask his identity. Without some form of paperwork or verification it's hard to follow up and know who you dealt with.

This was my first time renting a U-Haul, I assumed I would get a dolly with the rental. I made a bade assumption. I think it would be appreciated if all U-Haul dealers ask the customer what additional equipment might be needed. Sometimes, the customer (especially first-timer users) just "doesn't know what they don't know". I had to go to another U-Haul dealer to obtain the dolly that I needed. Other than that hiccup, the service was excellent.

I reserved the truck on a Friday and was told that even though I only needed it for 3 hrs, my rate would be $19.95, the daily rate. However, when I picked it up on Saturday morning, I was told that the cost would be $47.xx . This was supposedly due to additional cost of $1.09 per mile, which was NEVER mentioned when I reserved the truck. This worked out to an additional $30.00 that I had not been advised would be charged. When I attempted to discuss this issue with the clerk on duty, he simply blamed U-Haul and I pointed out that I dealt directly with his store, not U-Haul. Not a very good business practice to mislead customers about the cost. Either change your policy or at least train your personnel!

This have been a nightmare. After not finding a desired 24' truck I went for the 17' truck close to home. They changed my location without my consent to another location 25 miles away. I rejected that offer because that would have been more costly money wise and time wise (even with the $50 promised guarantee that I haven't seen). So they offered me a 15' on location closer to home, which I had no choice but to accept it. Then the worse came: I was charged with one more day. After I realized, I called to clarify it, they promised to correct it... and yes they "corrected" it by charging me they new corrected amount ON TOP of the 2 first ones. Now I have not only not having the $50 guarantee granted, but instead I have $120.59 on overcharges, plus the $50 not credited, a total of $170.59 in overcharges. Now I'm completely ripped off, and will need to wait for a refund (if it happens someday) in order to be able to buy groceries, that will not happen this weekend thanks to U-Haul. I should have gone somewhere else.

I just drove 12 Miles and was billed for 73 Miles? This is not fair, I showed all the proofs to Mailing Spot Cashier this morning and she agreed that she will fix in the system. Very insane. Uhaul, how can you overcharge a customer, due to your negligence on getting correct mileage on the sheet of paper that you give to customer. I took the pictures before renting and after and have all the proofs. This will be going to BBB
