On 6/10/2021 at 4:42 pm I rented a truck from Taylor Made Towing & Recovery. It was returned on 06/11/2021 at 4:19 pm. This was the WORST service I have ever experienced. Upon arriving at my destination and opening the back of the truck, we noticed that it was dirty, and roaches was crawling all over it. After calling Taylor Made Towing & Recovery to let them know what happened, the young lady that I purchased it from admittedly went into defense mode. She began to say that she know it was clean because she cleaned it herself. I informed her that it wasn't clean and that I had to wait two hours before I could use the truck, due to the bugs and the smell. This is not the service I was looking for from Uhaul. Now I am in fear of having to call an exterminator to my home. Yes I'm African American, but I don't do bugs. I paid $84.67 to rent your truck. I guess my gift from Uhaul was the roaches. NOT ALL BLACK PEOPLE HOMES ARE SLACK!!!! I have also been calling to place a complaint against the company, but for some reason you all keep saying you are experiencing high call volumes. Yes, I have waited on the phone for 45 minutes and no one answered the phone. At this point I'm truly upset with Uhaul. I don't understand why my family and I had to go through this. Please take this time to remind your companies that this is not the way to treat your customers. That's if you car. Tywanna Blue

I had to hook everything up myself i had to check the lights. One light was pushed in so far that the rubber piece was stuck inside of trailer.the equipment was dirty inside. The lady didnt mark down any damage to the trailer. She did not move from that office point to the trailer though the door & said that is what your taking. The trailer didnt even have a current inspection sticker.

Staff member was new and having trouble with computer system and was not able to take care of everything while we were there. They took notes and was able to check our truck back in and refund our leftover boxes and send the receipt the same afternoon. :)

I have called several times..... I seriously don't know what could have been worse. Truck was filthy inside cab, cargo and outside. Truck was on fumes, no windshield waaher fluid. Windows were filthy with smoke and bugs. Coffee or soda spilled on dashboard and floor. Cargo area had some sort of fiberglass material we had to sweep and mop the area and clean the cab Steering wheel was sticky. Then when I went to drop it off they told me they weren't accepting any equipment and they told Uhaul that. When I called to find out one man in customer service said that was 75% of his calls. I asked to talk to a manager and some southern road manager was ruda and sarcastic and said it wasn't his fault and insinuating it was my fault because I should've said something when I had the walk through. There was no walkthrough at pick up. I have repeatedly asked to be contacted with no one ever calling. I had to pick it up at a different location and called for the $50 credit three times... still not received. They also reversed the gas credit because of it being between 1/8 and 1/4. We got turned around and ended up getting lost. But your road manager sarcastically said. I am so sorry you had to drive 2 extra miles. You recorded all these calls... Wouldn't even come outside to look at return. Got in truck and left. Said to just leave it. Your customer service has a lot to be desired. I took pictures of building, your U-Haul, serial number and picture of both U-Haul and there company sign just in case there were any issues.

I had to wait an hour to pick up the Uhaul because the secretary couldn't remember her password to login to the system. This was after I'd already been to the original pick up place and was told they didn't have the Uhaul I needed so I had to go to Taylor Made instead. Not a big deal but it added 2hrs to my already tight schedule which added to an already stressful day of moving. The cab smelled like a cigar bar and I could barely stand to breath, that was a nice touch to the 7hr drive I had to make. Also, the car hauler that came along with it had a busted fender and the plastic rubbed the tire making a loud scraping noise. I had to duct tape it just so I could hear myself think while I was driving.

Use the correct operating hours. The pickup was scheduled for 0815 by th national rep, but the local reps noted the facility does not open until 0900. This caused a significant disruption in my packing and loading plans.

I want to be credit for half. This service was terrible. I was schedule for 08:00 and didn't see anyone until 09:00 Give me unsafe equipment. I had to stop and get it repair. Drop off took 30 minutes because I was not in your system. I want to be credit half for my time and all the problem I had.

Our pick-up time was scheduled for 9AM and the owner was 45 minutes late, which meant a loss of valuable time and daylight resulting in us having to keep the U-haul for longer - we ended up being charged a late fee.

The web site said they opened at 8:00 am, after several attempts to contact someone I had to leave and return 1 1/2 hours later to get the trailer. When I was ready to hookup, the trailer I was assigned had a wheel missing causing a delay in paperwork. Fortunately there was another trailer on site in good condition,

But this was not our drop off because I was moving to Florida not SC, but they helped us greatly. I would tell someone to go to them but we are not from SC. The drop off was at 13301 S OBT, Orlando, Fl and they were super great as well.
