The van wasn't cleaned. We found and a crack pipe, 2 hypodermic needles, loads of M&Ms all over the floor and blankets in the back. The rental guy was really nice and came out to help clean it but If we weren't in a bind to move some furniture, we would have just refused it. Beware.Robert O.

Van was filthy. The inside was covered in dirt, which then spread to my belongings. They also did something weird and charged me separately on a different register ( one used for the hardware store ), for my dolly rental.Jeremy S.

The Uhaul app doesn't work and is very glitchy as it the website account. I thought I had reserved a truck in another location for a day rate of $149 at $.04/mile but your scheduler switched everything and I ended up paying $170 more then i should have as I traveled 200 miles for an out of state move. We were charged the 14.00 insurance fee which I'm pretty sure we opted out of unless this is not an optional fee in which case it should be stated that it is not optional? Also the vehicle license recovery fee was not stated up front in the contract.TIMOTHY D P.

Cab was full of mud on both sides. Though I had a confirmed 15 ft. Truck reserved, there was no log in the system of my reservation. I had to use a smaller truck.scott F.

I declined the $14.00 insurance but was charged it anyway. It was actually hard to decline as well. I would advise my friends to rent, but be very careful of the extra charges.Rob W.

The only issue I had was that I do not carry or use a cell phone. If I had not already used U-haul before and was still in your system, I would not have been able to rent a truck.Jerry C.

Cab had left over trash that didn't smell very good. I removed the trash myself. Transaction and service were both fantastic! I think this location only has cube vans. No trailers available.JEFFREY WAYNE C.
Teach them how to use the technology. When I returned the truck, I was charged a fuel fee of $12 that was not warranted. Then after I called it to their attention, and they tried to refund the $12 fuel fee, not only was there no refund, but they charged me three more $12 fees. And, there were a few $5 and change charges that made no sense to me at all. Needless to say, I asked my credit card company to get involved. Very disappointing!!lennie M.

The van was dirty and smelly. I was sent to 3 locations. I had to pay way more than needed. Safemove was added with out my permission!Djulsa H.
So MANY things went Wrong!!! I reserved a 20' truck the day BEFORE. We got there within 15 minutes of them opening and were told they don't HAVE a 20'truck. So the only choice they gave us was a 10' truck, which meant DOUBLE the trips and DOUBLE the time!!!! We talked to the manager when he was in, upon returning the truck, and he said we should have gone to ANOTHER location!!!! When you have people to help you move, and you have everyone scheduled for a specific time, you DON'T HAVE TIME TO GO AROUND TOWN LOOKING FOR THE SIZE TRUCK YOU HAD RESERVED & it SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE!!! I finally convinced the owner of Talbert hardware to issue a partial refund..... But I have called him at least weekly now for going on the 3rd week and still no refund!!! I'll NEVER go to this store again and most likely won't go to u haul again either.gary P.
Because previous driver drops off at wrong location, I the customer have change my plans around a new pick up location and pick up time. Throw a wrench in things and then the new pick up location didn't have pads for me to even purchase which other place did. Such a all around inconvenient. Not a great uhaul experience.Todd D.

Price was not the same as I was verbally told when uhaul contacted me originally due to not having the truck size requested. I was charged near $500 total between two locations when it was stated $322 for two 10' trucks and one tow dolly. Communications between corporate and stores would be greatly appreciated as this was a big inconvenience having to pay more than discussed and having less height and length.Kristina H.

we were given a vehicle with a LOCK on the back door - apparently the previous renters lock. They told us to cut it off, but we didn't want to be responsible for any issues that might arise from removing the lock. Had to return the truck and get another one - cost US an extra hour of time!Harold B.

I reserved the pick up truck for use at 4 pm. I arrived 10 minutes early and waited for 6 minutes to be helped. I was informed that the gentleman's employee took the truck to Home Depot to get cement and would return shortly. But then they would still have to unload the cement. They offered for me to use the cargo van instead. That isn't what I asked for, but I took it anyways because I was on a timeline.Corey L.

The passenger side mirror was taped in place with masking tape and broke as I entered onto the highway, and got up to 55 mph, with the mirror rotating 90 degrees making it useless. Fortunately I had someone with me to adjust the mirror when I needed to change lanes to the right . We contacted the store as it happened and were told that they were aware of this mirror being broken. This was an accident waiting to happen, as it would have been impossible as the lone occupant / driver of the truck to safely change lanes to the right with no side mirror! I rented from a hardware store that could have either replaced the set screw to make the proper repair ( as I'm fairly certain that they have the correct size screw) or at the very least use strapping tape rather than the cheap masking tape that was on there. When I returned the truck and spoke to them about the mirror, I was told that they shouldn't have rented it because of the mirror, and I should have been given another truck. They also said that they wouldn't rent it out again until the mirror is fixed. The cargo box hadn't been swept out as there was small rocks and debris on the floor, and the dash of the cab was covered with dust, and dirt on the floor. I've been trying to support local small businesses, but after this experience, I will not be doing any further business with this one.Jeff W.

Front driver side tire was almost flat, had to inflate tire once I got to my house. Passenger front tire was also very low. Rear roll up door needs repair, cable not winding properly, made door difficult to open and close.Paul S.

I reserved the van online. Went through the process of online check in (scanning in my DL, etc...), was told on the website that I would be able to get the van without going inside. But, I had to still check in, and none of my online check in info was relayed to the office. Not sure if this is a location issue. -After getting my keys, I was not directed to where the van was located. I had to come back in, and was told that it was parked in the parking garage. Wish I had been told that from the start, or even better, the van should have been parked out front. -Van had dried mud inside. Wasn't cleaned. -I would recommend this facility only if someone needed the closest location.Kevin S.

Multiple issues: uhaul was filthy & check engine light was on. Gas tank was 3/4 full when I got it and that is how I returned it & then they charged me to fill it up. Also, $30 hidden service fees for going through a business that was a uhaul provider. Not a good experienceCarolanne F.
The people that run this location are dishonest people. They are renting out the truck and not recording it in the Uhaul system and then hoping the subsequent renter won't notice the overcharge. I was overcharged $73 and while I was explaining to the man that ran the store what happened, a customer stopped and said the same thing was done to him and expressed his anger at the hardware store as well. The hardware store manager/owner then followed me into the parking lot and I had to repeatedly ask him to leave me alone as I was not comfortable having him that close to me. I even had to threaten to call the police. DO NOT RENT FROM TALBERT HARDWARE - DISHONEST PEOPLE!!!!Adam C.
The guy told me that I would get a price brake after s9 many miles and he lied. Dis not do an inspection of the truck before the rental. Did not inspect when I brought it back because he was too busy talking to someone. He was very rude and unprofessional.Jolynn M.
