I had to unhitch my trailer and put it away myself weaving through other vehicles. No one came from inside to help even though they said someone was coming. They charged me an extra days rental for being late, which I understand, because I was late. The part that is difficult to deal with was the fact that they charged me an additional eight dollars for additional insurance on a trailer that was no longer in my possession. When I tried to protest this additional fee they kept saying they don't understand and then threaten me with a $50 inconvenience fee! This location started calling me shortly after I picked up my trailer in Kansas City, twice! I had their address and didn't understand why I was getting these calls. It was like they were insisting I return it to them. It has always been my understanding that I could return at any U-Haul location. I told them at that time that I would be late I had an appointment on the other side of Chicago and would not be able to return the trailer on time. I returned the trailer at noon however on the email I got they showed me returning it at 2 PM. I have rented from U-Haul many times trucks, trailers and other various items. I have never been treated this way by any location coast to coast!Kenneth H.

They didn't have the truck that I reserved and made me take a smaller truck. This resulted in not having enough time to move all of my furniture in the time allotted and I had to leave behind half of my things! Extreme unhappy with the service.STARR O.

This is the best place to rent. I've gone to several others and this was the cleanest most well maintained U-Haul I've ever rented ever. I always expect some level of mediocrity but didn't get that here. They deserve an award.Jeremy B.
I had to use my own muscle to lift the trailer up off the ground to get it on the hitch coupling on the ball. There was no jack/crank to assist. So when I returned the trailer later that evening the only way I could unhitch was by having to clear out my entire trunk to get to my spare tire and use that jack to raise up the trailer (took me almost an hour). If I was an old or weak person there is no way I would have been able to do this... it could have caused serious injury to someone. I do not feel I should have to pay for the rental... it was an awful experience and I will not be returning to this location for my next uhaul needs.Ryan S.

When a customer makes a reservation, and you say it's at a different location, but then you change your mind again & save the reservation at a different location- tell the customer. And don't just cover the mileage (& barely cover the gas) when it's not even the customers fault that they now have to drive over 50 miles total just to pick up their truck from a completely new location & waste so much more time- for a problem that was because of u-haul's problem. Don't make the customer call customer service & be on hold for 1.5 hour before they can finally get a hold of someone who can compensate the customer somehow (which should have initially been done)!JESSIE R.

The van needed a good cleaning. It was somewhat filthy. Also, at both pickup and drop off, I had a fairly long wait before they got to me. I'm not impatient but I noticed there always only seemed to be one person who knew how to do this.DANIEL K.
