Location was great. The truck itself was clean but drove terribly. It needs a lot of work. Brakes were bad, tires were awful for any sort of ice/snow on the road..the whole truck shook as you drove it. Not to mention they didn't have the size we wanted, so agreed to another size at a different time as well.. arrived to pick it up and oh, don't have that size either. Had to go with the biggest truck they had, which also had the biggest fuel bill too. This is on Uhaul. Not the location

I dropped truck off early but we couldn’t communicate very well , I went back the next morning to get my deposit back and couldn’t help me drove 60km home phone head office with my complaint, then got a email saying I have to drive another 60km back to get my deposit back then 60 km back home , not good service at all ,

Matthew RMy truck size was decreased at last moment which meant I could not fit all of my furniture in the truck. I had to leave $1500 worth of furniture behind free for the taking. My pick up location was changed to a location that added an hour to my already 9 hour travel day. When I was calling uhaul the day before my move I was on hold for over an hour and had to deal with people that were rude and condescending people. My pick up time was changed from 11 am to 5 pm which would mean I would be moving in to new place at 2-3 am. I had to call uhaul again to be on hold for again over a hour. When I called the pick up location, they didn't even speak English well at all. I was already stressed out and had to deal with this on top of everything. Got to the pick up location and they did not speak any English just pointed at things and said one or two word grunt. Truck windshield was so filthy with bugs I couldn't see out of it. The best part was I was charged over $700 for a 10" truck when I had requested a 15" truck and the quote was just over $400. I was not prepared for the extra costs. This cleaned out my bank account and now I have no grocery money for two weeks. When I dropped off the uhaul in Aaskatoon I was not surprised to see other people there having problems with their rentals as well. This experience was so horrific I will be telling everyone and anyone about my experience and never using uhaul again. I will never use uhaul again.

Adam LWas at this location for a hour and a half trying to pick up the truck and dolly. Tried just giving the dolly but not the truck after 45 mins after I said no I need the truck and dolly. Horrible experience it should not take over a hour and a half to pick up a truck that was reserved and booked. Never will I go there again and highly recommend no one else to go there.
Steven WI ordered the truck from Regina to Carrot River,but had to go to Balcarres to pick up truck,had to pay for gas in car to go get it and pay for gas in truck to bring same to Regina. That's not performance by your company, It cost me 108 dollars to fill unit in Regina and another 90 dollars to bring it to Tisdale. You tell me why I had to do this,then you charge me another 43.00 at the end,this is a complete rip off. I definitely don't accept that kind of performance on your part.
Wayne TI was rerouted to this location since uhaul could not fulfill my original pickup location. When we called to confirm that our truck was in fact there and ready for pick up, the person we spoke to couldn't speak English and kept saying "ok." I was worried that we'd show up and not have a truck due to this. When we arrived in Balcarres, the girl working did not have a clue about what to do. She then called her boss and proceeded to use a translator app on her phone to communicate. She took a picture of my licence and sent it to him which was a red flag to me. She then asked for my cc and wanted to take a picture of that to send to him which I was not ok with. I called uhaul in Winnipeg and was checked in over the phone. I was given a $100 for having to go 60 minutes out of my way because uhaul couldn't provide a truck for my pick up in Regina. I wasted close to an hour in Balcarres, which should have taken 15 minutes. No compensation for my time lost tho. I've since spoken to a "manager" in Winnipeg regarding the communication issue at this dealer and was told when "uhaul stops in the dealer uses a translator app to communicate because he's new to Canada." Great, welcome to Canada. However, uhaul needs to be more accountable when setting just anyone up as a dealer. This place was a joke. Who would let some random clerk who can't communicate why she needs a picture of your cc actually take the picture?? Moving is stressful enough without having to learn Mandarin to pick up a uhaul truck. I'm lucky I didn't have a panic attack because of this. The clerk had no clue about going through a safety check either. If you are booking a uhaul DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THE BALCARRES DEALER !!!! You will have unprofessional service. When I dropped the truck off in Calgary at the Deerfoot location I had the best experience ever. The Balcarres dealer should be taking lessons from the Deerfoot location. Lesson learned though. In the future when I rent a uhaul, I will be asking the question : does the dealer speak & understand English before I commit to a pickup.

Rob RI reserved pick up location in Yorkton SK - NOT in Balcarres! I only learned that the pick up location was NOT where I reserved when I called the Yorkton site the day before. They took no responsibility for the issue, and put me through to UHaul Intl 'customer service' where I was on hold for more than an hour, was passed to 4 different reps, and finally had no choice but to go pick up the vehicle in Balcarres since nothing else was available. THEN the agent in Balcarres did not seem familiar with the UHaul app when I went to pick up the vehicle. In addition, I got charged for the extra mileage - even though I did not originally agree to the Balcarres location which is 97 km away from Yorkton - so UHaul should refund me the extra mileage!!!!

Richard SBad experience not only with the patrons at the Sunglow Esso (pick up location) but with Uhaul online. This is a horrible, clunky, inactive site that has little to no intuitive abilities. If you misplace your login, it won't send you anything for a replacement code; if you drop off early, it won't let you until it's closer to the drop off time (I dropped off our 10' truck rental at 5:15pm on the 22nd of May, when I could have had it back the following day) I only used the truck for 7 hours, one of which was waiting at the Esso for the patron to help a couple ahead of me. I ended up helping them because he spoke little to no English, not his fault that English isn't his first language but in the customer service industry in rural Saskatchewan it would be a good thing to know at least o e of the official languages! And Uhaul customer service was no help at all. I was always told to never say never...but I will definitely never use Uhaul again. Very disappointing.

I had to do 3 applications and give info 3 times to get the rental to 3 different agents on the uhaul phone and still could not get a proper rental. Local shop 5 minutes away had equipment but the website and the agents would not rent me the equipment that was sitting in front of me and i had to drive an additional 3 hours to get a rental. They would not let me return it local without a penalty. There is no support for the clients at these locations. None of these multiple dropoff places know the uhaul rental system and most dont even know how to hook up a trailer. Pathetic. Ill never rent from uhaul again. I couldnt even do biz in english and had to use a chinese translator on the phone to try to rent.

I had to rearrange a ride to pick it up and it was very costly to get it from there. I was told they open at 9. I was there at 9 to pick up the truck and found out they don't open until 10. We had to wait for them to arrive to give us the truck. The uhaul dealer could not speak any English so I just grabbed the keys and took off. The truck was dirty and stunk in the cab.

Was told that everything was good to go as far as charges which I did not understand as I had not given my credit card information up to that point. Very poor communication as the person giving the unit did not speak english well and communication seemed to be to who I assume was his boss through texting. We had phoned U haul the next day directly and they said that he probably didn't process the order yet. I finally showed up to drop the trailer off in Ladysmith which is where we told the agent we wanted to drop it off. They said there that my order was showing that I was late in picking it up when I had already had it for 3 days. Thank god I didn't run into any problems because I can just imagine the headaches i would have potentially faced. The whole process was horrible on this end.

Morris SI had issues with hooking up electrical. Needed an adapter and rental agency had no clue. Called U-haul. A supervisor named Greg calmed me down, re-instated my cancelled order, told me what I needed, He was absolutely great. Can't say enough good things about how he handled the situation and got me back on the road. Thanks Greg!
allan iI received a phone call from Becky inn Winnipeg (204)987-9510 around 3:50pm Local time. I never been treated on the phone and takes too like she did to me demanding I return the truck before 8am on Friday July 26, 2019 she was just rude and ended up hanging up on me. Uhaul better have a talk with her about customer service and learn people skills.
