While the truck was trashed out, but it was not clean. The inside of this truck is an actual crime scene. After spending 4 days and 2400 miles alone in this truck, it told me a story that involved a lock-out, a thrown breakfast sandwich followed by an assault. Food matter spattered on the driver side, blood spatter on the passenger side and jacked up door molding where a locksmith tried to slim-jim in, tell the tale. I have pictures if you'd like to see.

The power steering was terrible and does not work unless the throttle was pressed, brake effort is hard, the defogger didnt work well and the windows were foggy as I drove down I 81S in the mountains. The truck was a death trap. For $1275 I got the old crappy truck instead of the newer trucks in the fleet.

The process for mobile pick up took at least 30-45 minutes out of my reservation due to the process for verifying my information, confirming odometer and fuel, and taking photos. The truck was not cleaned prior.

Sullivan's Towing is a great location and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only problem is that Sullivan's is 1.5hrs away from the house we were living in. We placed 2 calls to the local U-Haul and we're told by a rep even the day before we picked up the trailer that our pickup would be at one of the local U-Hauls. Just hours before we received the notification that the reservation was 1.5 hrs away, the local scheduler told my wife on the phone that we would pick up at the Lorton, VA location and to show up there in the morning for pick up. I waited almost an hour at the Lorton location only to be told that they can't make changes since our reservation was at Sullivan's. Dealing with U-Haul scheduling was the absolute most frustrating aspect of our entire move.

Very poor job on safety chains on trailer. My wife picked it up. They didn't twist chains and had them dragging. She said two people did it, kind of shocking. I fixed it before the long drive.

This is for uhaul overall, it this specific location. I was disappointed we had to go so out of our way to pick up The truck. We set the reservation for a location near out home, however this one where we picked up was about 20-25 minutes away. The trucks allowed mileage was 66 before we had to pay extra and having to drive so far to get it really ate until that. When I called and asked if I could schedule it somewhere closer to my originally requested location, the representative I spoke with got snarky and told me if he did another location, or would be even further away, likely 50 or 100 miles. That part of this experience left a bit of a sour taste with me.

I rented from the Cumberland Auto Service location and did not select a destination so I could choose one. I went to Sullivan Towing to drop it off, the website wasn't working and didn't prompt me to do anything other than drop the key off , i did that the same day i rented the vehicle. The next day i get an email saying "per our conversation" to drop it off at a different location on Sunday. That's not possible since I already returned the vehicle and dropped the key off. I was in training ALL weekend so i wouldn't of reached anybody during office hours anyways, which is why i had to drop it off the same day I got it. Spent 30 minutes on hold with the 1-800 number saturday night after my class just to resolve this issue. Why am i being told a location to drop it off at? and worded in a way "per our conversation" i've never talked to that destination location before, what conversation? I didn't consent to that, i did not agree to that.

The staff at Sullivans Towing and Recovery refused to help me remove my car from the tow dolly. They said, "We aren't allowed". One of the tire straps was fowled and it took me about 45 min to remove the strap and pull the car from the dolly.

We dropped the truck off after hours. However, U-HAUL'S Customer Service needs an upgrade! I was put on hold for over 20 minutes and when "Cheryl" answered, I explained that I was worried about getting extra charges because I couldn't send the link in on my phone because the battery had died - because the truck didn't have a hook-up for my charger. After she put me on hold, I was disconnected, and no one tried to call me back. This is a very poor way to deal with people who are trying to do the right thing and avoid unnecessary charges.

The owner at the pickup location was very friendly and professional. The truck was waiting out front, already cleaned and gassed up and ready to go when we arrived first thing in the morning. The windshield wipers were HORRIBLE. I almost had an accident during three different rain down pours. This vehicle should have been checked prior to sending out in a very unsafe way. Please be more responsible. Lives depend on it.

This location was selected for us as the drop off. We had to pass 2 other locations on the way and because of this we were charged for an additional 9 miles. There was also another location 2 miles from our house.

Enable WiFi access at all locations so check in and out becomes an easier experience. In remote areas internet access is very limited, cell service is very limited.

When I turned in the truck I showed the young lady to paperwork where the fuel markings were wrong and that the company I pick it up from in Georgetown South Carolina had Circle the correct fuel amount in the truck at half a tank and a nurse with it and given me a card to show them if they have a problem to call them. He said everything would be fine next thing I know I'm charged $25 for fuel. Also the truck was filthy when I picked it up I explained that to the young lady I was charged $25 for cleaning.

CHECK TIRE PRESSURES BEFORE SENDING A TRAILER OUT. I was given a trailer that had 3 tires that were each 10 psi low and one tire that was 30 psi low. Luckily I always check tire pressure before towing but the average customer probably does not. It is a huge liability to be sending a trailer out with grossly under inflated tires. Also the hydraulic brakes on this trailer were NOT functional which made my long distance drive dangerous. The nonfunctional brakes are not this location's fault but the tire pressures are.
