Went with the online pickup, when I got there, the person managing would not give me the keys and filled out another rental for me. Had to wait 30 min for his system to update while I had everything filled out ready to go with the current truck. Got charged twice.Henry E.

We set an appointment for pickup at 10:00 AM, nobody arrived until 10:40 AM, they over charged us $278 from the original quote then tried to say they couldn't honor the quote because it was made months ago when the quote was made the day before, took them another hour to issue a refund, they gave us a damaged trailer that continued to have a tire go flat on our 13 hour drive. The chain to secure the car was missing the rubber piece to lock it in place. They had our uhaul scheduled to be returned in February of next year instead of 5 days out like it was supposed to be. The experience was horrible enough for us to decide this is our last time using uhaul.Quavon S.

The first time I used this location on February 26th, 2022, the owner was nearly an hour late. There were four other people, including myself, waiting outside of the facility for their rentals. His excuse was the weather, even though every one of use made it there with no issues. The second time I used this facility on March 19th, 2022, I was scheduled to pick up my cargo trailer at 1:30pm. I was driving in from Dallas and the owner called me three times to ask if I could pick up my trailer early because he had a personal issue. I had arrangements I had to reschedule because HE had a â€œpersonal issueâ€. I don't buy it, I think he just wanted to leave early because it was a Saturday and I was his last appointment. This man does not know how to run a business. I would never bother a client, much less three times, to have them come in early and burden them with my â€œpersonal issuesâ€. He lacks accountability and responsibility. Worst experience I have ever had with a company.Kinsey C.
I experienced great customer service. Staff was very professional, informative and helpful. The rental process was quick and easy. The store appeared to be fairly new. The parking lot was not paved and although I did not need additional accessories, I didn't notice if there were accessories available to purchase. Everything I needed was provided. Have the person running the site be available during their hours of operation posted on their door. I called the phone number provided, nobody answered and the voicemail still indicated the location would be closed for Christmas. I left a voicemail and never received a return call. This is my second negative experience with Uhaul unfortunately. A year ago we had a truck from Northern California to Washington and had major issue with low tire pressure etc...This is both time consuming and frustrating. At this location, they didn't have a size we requested so we went along with the larger vehicle. I was told the car was full with gas, but it was under the F mark ... However, I did return the vehicle with the additional gas all the way to ACTUALLY FULL. With current gas prices I think that was beyond the call of duty and likely additional $15 or $20. The interior was clearly not cleaned. I did take photos at the time I got the truck and returned it as well.CAROLINE A.

Very very disappointed the rental location forgot to Include a utility dolly . We are seniors and we picked up the vehicle at 5:30 dark the location person had to leave early , we noticed when we got home there was no dolly had to load the truck that evening , was very very difficult to move items to truck , refrigerator, freezer, dresser,, lots of boxes . We're all moved by hand we are 65 Me and husband my teenager grandkid 90 lbs . It should of taken us at least 3 hrs to load in stead 6 hrs , when we arrived in Seguin Tx I call U-Haul to notify them and to let them know we needed a dolly for Wednesday the 14 to unload , mo dolly located I. Seguin again we new nobody to help . That experience was unbelievable . Very disappointed and exhausted to where our backs are aching severely, would like an Inconvenience refund of some sortRose V.

I chose the after hours self check out because the pick up location was closed thanks to my truck not being available at the original store. I was assured that in spite of the fact that this was a self check out my truck would be ready for pick up at the front of the store. Long story short, the truck wasn't in front of the store, it was parked on top of a grassy hill and due to the rain we've had in the previous days the truck got stuck in the mud so I had to call someone to tow me down the hill.Joanna H.

We were a bit late in our arrival vs the reservation time due to a traffic accident (not us). The manager understood and although this was probably his last appointment on a Friday, late afternoon. He waited patiently for us. Quick turn around and we were on our way.CHARLES B.
When I arrived 20 minutes early, nobody was there. I talked to a lady from a different location that said someone was there and that it's just hard to find the door (I had previously found and knocked on the door(s)). She wouldn't accept the fact that nobody was there. I eventually got in touch with area manager , John. He said the employee had lunch from noon to one (my reservation was at noon). He said he may have left early to run to the bank but would be back very soon. Then I got a call from Jorge saying the other guy was in a fender bender and it would take Jorge 20 minutes to get there. I decided to wait instead of changing locations because this one was the most convenient for me. Jorge arrived and was very helpful, absolutely no complaints about Jorge. The ratchets on the trailer were so rusted I could barely undo them to get my vehicle off. They definitely need some maintenance.Miranda M.

Don't post on site that the establishment is open on Saturday's from 10-3 when in fact the establishment was closed. This caused me to have to take more time out of my moving day to take pic's of this and that of the truck, fuel etc. If I have to do the job of an employee who's supposed to be there, then I should either get paid by uhaul or get a discount. Very aggravating. PS. When I called the # associated with is establishment, the person who answered said, there was a comment on the site that stated they were going to be closed that day, which I didn't see posted anywhere on the site or at the establishment.Eric M.

The self-check-in is somewhat time-consuming, and I had to go retrieve the key from personnel who was unsure of the mobile check-in process steps. It seems like a regular check-in would have been a lot quicker. Recommend that the Uhaul website give an accurate description of what self-check-in is before a customer signs up for it (including verification info needed, average duration to get verified, etc.). Also, train personnel on what the steps of the self-check-in process look like so they don't question if I've paid yet when the app has instructed me to show personnel my phone screen to retrieve the key.Ana R.

Was convenient to have a U-Haul two miles from our home. The family running it were very friendly. However, the garage they work out of is lacking a general (UHaul) store appearance. It's almost like a shack/garage they work out of. Have a reservation from this facility for a one-way cross county move in March. I'll probably change to a more robust U-Haul location.Gary E.

We had a reservation to pick up our rental at 10am. Upon arriving at the facility we found that the door was locked and no one was on the property. After calling the number for the business the man stated that he was in Austin on an errand but would return in 15-20 minutes. We waited 45 minutes for him to return!! The gentleman was nice and apologetic which I appreciated, but it completely rushed the rest of our day as we had multiple things to accomplish in regards to our move, including our reserved time at our building for use of the freight elevator.Jacob D.

The car trailer we rented didn't operate correctly. One of the ramps was broken and wouldn't lock in place when extended. I had called to move the rental charges to another credit card. The attendant said he was busy with a customer and would call me back. He never called.JAMES P.

I was late picking it up and my phone pick-up reservation expired. I HAD NOT IDEA THAT IT WOULD EXPIRE. Why does the booking not tell you that. waiting on hold for 30 minutes. the chat feature had to update the reservation. the site would then NOT take my credit card. the chat feature had to fix that. It was an awful experience picking up using my phone. I WILL NEVER USE MY PHONE TO PICK UP FROM YOU EVER AGAIN!Wayne D.

The location looks like a junk yard with old cars around, grass growing everywhere. I had reserved a trailer online. When I arrived to pick up, I was informed the trailer had been rented to someone else. Obviously , the agent does not understand the definition of the word "reserved" I had to rent an alternate trailer which was more expensive. The trailer I had reserved was $82. The replacement cost $214. I feel UHaul owes me the difference in this charge. This agent is a blight on the reputation and good trademark of UHaul and an eyesore for your business model. The young man who helped me, Eddie, did his best and was very apologetic, but obviously, had not authority or ability to remedy the situation. Please feel free to call me to discuss this matter. I am very disgusted and infuriated at this situation and would discourage any potential UHaul customer from using this agent.Wilson F.
