I HAD THIS TRAILER BOOKED FOR A MONTH!!! THE DAY WE WERE SCHEDULED TO PICK IT UP, NO ONE WAS AT THE SHOP. CALLED U-HAUL AND THAT LOCATION IS CLOSED FOR A MONTH. HAD TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. THE TIRE WAS FLAT, HAD TO RETURN THE CAR HAULER AND PICK UP ANOTHER ONE. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE ATTEMPTED RENTING FROM YOU. THE FIRST YOU CANCELLED ON ME FOR I NEEDED IT OVERNIGHT. THEN THIS. YOUR ALL ARE UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNCOUTH AND SHOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS. I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT A FULL REFUND WAS IN ORDER. I GOT $30. OFF!Dane V.

The gentleman that helps with getting the trailer set up, it would have been nice if he communicated what he wanted before you start and not get so frustrated with the clients. Other than that the experience was greatNeeco L.
I rented a tow dolly. Upon inspection it was broke. The attendant left the desk. After being ignored with 3 other customers waiting also; there was no understanding of how to simply exchange the serial numbers on the dolly. Several attempts refunding and recharging the attendant eventually gets it done. Upon my return, the same attendant was outside leaned in a car window. (Refer to video surveillance). I assumed maybe a customer. This was 5:15. While waiting to be checked in I figured I'd help out, so I disconnected everything, put the chains up so as to not drag on the ground or get in the way, and ratcheted the wheel straps up to straighten them out as to not get caught in the tow dolly tire well. I backed the dolly in place. Right about this time the attendant went into the building. I figured she would be right out after she finished up what she was doing. I waited next to the tow dolly, however after a couple of minutes I figured I should go see how long until I could be checked in. I get up to the door and the attendant is sitting at the desk, however the door is locked. I looked at my clock and it was 5:34. Now it dawns on me it must have been a friend not a customer she was talking to thinking closing time must have been 5:00. Maybe I'd get lucky and since she was still here I could get checked in? I tried the door a couple of times, and was still ignored. Just like when I pulled up, like when I took care of the dolly myself, just like when trying to exchange dollies when the original was broken. I gotta say for a person who apparently does not like people to interrupt her day; I'd say customer service is not the industry to choose for a job. At this point to make it worse, I now see the sign stating closing time is 5:30. Refresher here, 5:15 arrival, 5:15-5:30while im doing the attendants job steadily being ignored. Time checking door due to her not willing to inspect equipment 5:34. I sit in my truck and call the customer service number listed knowing this lady is going to try and charge me for tomorrow because she thinks she is getting away with ignoring me again as she walks past my truck and into her vehicle and leaves. A point was made on her part â€œnot to make eye contactâ€. Im telling my mom this story because I just was finishing up moving her from a previous week she rented a truck from there. My moms comment was it was no customer she was leaned in that vehicle window talking to, it was her friend. Apparently my mom was ignored in the same manner. I understand your equipment is rented to make money, however my time equates to money as well and I don't like it needlessly wasted. I don't mind paying for an extra day, but her arbitrarily adding on another is unacceptable, and the additional day beyond that should be compensated for my time and wasting my moms time, which rolled down to effect me again, I just didn't realize that delay yet until I was telling this experience. Your customer service center told me this woman had the nerve to put in the notes how I didn't come straight inside since it was close to closing time. Being a storage center as well, I thought it stayed open later. That's beside the point, her expecting me to rush doing her job for her was enough, on top of being ignored repeatedly is not looking good for your upcoming sales in the future. My rental was cancelled the next day because I was upset over there being 2 feet of dirt blocking the entrance to our unit. There were no apologies - except from the maintenance guy that saw and understood our problem. Nina was condescending and never once apologized - all she did was shrug her shoulders and said we could wash the mud off our vehicle. We couldn't even get to the unit. They called after we left and said the problem would be cleaned up the next day and then called 20 minutes later and said the owner cancelled our agreement. Measurements were incorrect.. drove for 5 hours to Alabama to pick up a sxs and couldn't drive it onto the trailer... waste of time, money and had to deliver back to original u-haul.. I deserve a refundJoshua C.
What was a $44 initial cost including the appliance dolly, turned into a $71 bill. I used 3 gallons of gas and charge $14.02, which is $4.67 per gallonâ€"regular gas is $2.89 in our area. IF you want satisfied customers, be upfront on ALL costs. I used it for one hour, and walked away a very dissatisfied customer. And will warn anyone I know about this incident.Robert C.

The storage buildings are built too close together, so all the units located down the alleys are not accessible with your vehicle. The alleys are too narrow to drive in there safely to load and unload directly from your vehicle. This is very inconvenient.Matt B. | Overall Experience

I realize that you are not guaranteed to pick up your rental at the place you requested and I can understand that if you are looking to rent within a day or two. However, if you have requested it weeks/months in advance I believe this is a service that could be enhanced through the service of a courier. A customer should not be expected to drive 45 min. to an hour away from where they had requested pick up when they are already on time constraints. Also, our 26' truck did not have any working A/C and the weather was in the 90's. I did contact our pick up location however they don't service U-Haul, waited on hold with U-Haul for 45 min. and eventually had to hang up since we had to start loading. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Side note: only an AM radio to listen to on a 12 hour drive! For $2000 in rental costs I thought the service was very subpar and if need be, I will pay more next time JUST so I don't have to use U-Haul. I will never recommend U-Haul and considering my experience with them on this last move, I have nothing good to say!!!!Dave B.

Reserved 20' truck with appliance dolly several weeks in advance. Was told the day I arrived and after I paid for the truck that they had sent the dolly I reserved on a one-way rental. Couldn't get the online service to work when returning equipment. Next move, I will be using any service other than U-Haul!!!Deborah P.

The male employee arrived first and did not acknowledge me at the entrance struggling to reach uhaul about my 7:30 am pick up. He came out again and opened the other doors and ignored me again. Minutes later a female arrived and even though it was before the store opening time, she came out and asked me if I needed help. She was pleasant, helpful and smiling. I explained what happened and that my password wasn't working and I had been there for a while and on hold with uhaul. She invited me in and then said the male employee would help me. She told him my pick up time was missed but he just needed to doâ€¦and I would be good to go. He did not smile, did not make eye contact, was not friendly. Just asked for my drivers license. So I went to go get it. He still did not smile or look at me. I came back and gave it to him. She smiled and said that she had extended my return time and I thanked her. Meanwhile, he confirmed the estimate, insurance add on and equipment and made me a copy and gave me the keys. *I thanked them both for helping me before the 9 am open time. And even said, I appreciated their kindness. (Even if it only came from her). The vehicle had lots of damage. Even the hood was damaged. He did not tell me that I would receive a text asking me to confirm the condition. Finally, I was pulling off but was surprised by the request so I had to stop again. I was already late to meet the movers. A little more customer service would have been helpful. *And the steering wheel is crooked! I had to hold it at 11 and 4 to drive straight! That was annoying but I did not have time to take it back. I missed the movers by 5 minutes!!! I had to load the furniture with my older cousins. *Then, the uhaul password reset feature was not functioning. It would not take my password and would not send me a code to reset it. Had this worked, I could have gotten the vehicle at 7:30 am with no problem. *I spent $254 on the rental and almost $70 to refill the gas. That was an expensive hassle. A little more customer service would have made this better. *Extra long hold times on the 1-800# just frustrated me even more.Alisa J.

When I rented online, I was offered a selection of places to return my trailer. I chose the closest one. When I picked up my trailer, it had been changed. I was told it would be easy to change later. Not true. Your online and phone customer service access is terrible. My original drop-off location was changed from 3 miles away to a 60+ mile closed Body Shop. I was told to call when I got there and it would be easy to change. Very far from the truth! After about an hour of 20 minute waits and dropped calls, I was finally transferred to the correct person who could change my location.BRUCE M.

I was at this facility for over 4 years because i had to be!!!! The first manager would crash into the corner of the unit so that he could remove siding and steal all he could find of value. I originally rented a smaller truck from another UHaul in Columbia, when I went to pick the rental up it was not available, even though the rental was confirmed.
