Worst experience I've had with any company in a very long time. My experience went from bad to worse as I tried to get a resolution. They had scheduled for me to drop off my trailer at a particular location on Saturday. Unfortunately, this location is not open on Saturdays. People that schedule this should know this. I had to drop off at an alternative location. This new location was decided on after being on the phone with U-Haul for an hour and a half. I've got transferred four different times and put in a queue for 20 plus minutes each time.TIMOTHY M.

You have an associate by the name of Tiffany, I believe, that was nothing but help to me!! She was ahead of time when meeting on a Saturday morning to pick up the equipment. Per my comment before, because no one was ever able to get my correct email I was not able to log in to an account in order to get the codes for the key drop box. I stuck it in the mail slot and was done with it. Having to do everything online was frustrating where if I had just been able to deal with people in person I feel most of these issues could have been resolved.JACLYN O.

The parking lot was way too small and you could not even pull the truck in all they way therefore the truck blocked the driveway and my friend that followed me couldn't even pull in the driveway.Angela C.

Was given very unclear instructions on where to park. Then once she had me move to a different area she then told me I had to drop the trailer and park the truck in a different spot. I was surprised that I was told to drop the trailer but I did it with no problems. She didn't check the cargo area of the truck at all...not even to see if I had put the hand cart back in it that I rented. While the employee was nice and polite she seemed disinterested in the entire transaction.Joshua V.

I was charged 70.00 for insurance that I declined from the beginning. Worker said it was her fault but after calling several uhaul employees by phone to see how to correct it. She started out saying the customer does not want insurance instead of saying I (she) messed up and need to fix the overcharge. I was told if she reversed and started over my card could be charged twice and I would have to fix it. Luckily another employee drove up and credited the difference back. After we left and drove to the office to move, Truck door that opens back would only open 5 inches. 3 men had to get it unstuck that took awhile.Lisa W.

As this is a storage business there is not a lot of room to return a large trailer or truck when they are not open. It was very hard to get the trailer that I rented parked and unhooked from my truck. Other than that it was a very nice place to rent from and very helpful.Justin S.

Parking for a 26' truck is an issue at this location. It would have been a much bigger issue if any other vehicle was in the parking lot at the time. There probably should be some sort of color coded map on the door for where and how to park during a night time drop off. Called the rep. at the location the next day to verify everything was ok. She was ok with how I parked, but she did have another truck come in and admitted she'd have to figure out where to put them. I would have to say the main caution to everyone would be parking anything greater that a 17' truck in that parking lot.Anthony M R.

This is really important!!! I called to reserve a trailer two days in advance. A friend of mine drove 1400 miles to pick up the car I had bought. My friend left Corpus Christi on Thursday morning headed for Decatur Alabama. When I contacted U Haul (early Thursday morning) they told me that they would call me sometime before 6PM on Friday to let me know if and where a trailer would be available. THIS WAS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!! My friend was driving 1400 miles not knowing if there would be a trailer available and I wouldn't even know until after he had arrived at the destination??? U Haul has a very POOR system. You can't have customers driving for days to pick up a trailer that might not be there!!! What's the purpose of reserving a trailer two days in advance with no guarantee that a trailer will be available??? Why make reservations at all if they can't be verified?? I know that no one will do anything about this problem but you can't say that I didn't tell anyone!!! gilAMADO R.

I was given the drop off point by voice Mail. I was not informed that they closed at noon on Saturday. After a Couple of calls we reached someone Who gave us instructions. Two hours later we got a call from U-Haul to give us drop off instructions. But overall it worked out O.K.DAN K.

the company I hired to move me was recommended by the Weatherford, TX location. HE was suppose to drop the truck off in Chattanooga, TN where he dropped the other truck... He drove the truck to Decatur, AL without my knowledge or consent. He broke my things, he did not do a good job. I am very upset with Hometown Self Storage for recommending Charles L. Even though this location was advertised as 24 hour there were no clear directions on where to park the truck. Hence, we parked in front of the building in a small lot not large truck friendly, nor too secure in my mind. I reserved a trailer in Madison, Al , which was near my pick up place. When I went to pick up the trailer they sent me to Decatur, which was 40 miles out of the way. If they didn't have a trailer in Madison they should have told me. It was a delay and an inconvenienceCHARLES B.
