The truck had electrical problems. The low beam headlights showed the high beam light on the dash and when you activated the stim the headlights would go out until you clicked them again. The cab lights and interior light would not work

Picked the truck up in Martinsville,Va to move my daughter to college. However we had to drive an additional 35-40 to drop the truck off no location in Radford, Christainsburg or Blacksburg could accommodate the truck. Will think twice about using Uhaul again for that reason alone.

Uhaul needs to communicate with the customer CLEARLY what the total charges will be, and in a timely manner. I was so confused at the end of my experience with the billing,I was also over charged for the insurance. I applied for the $14 safe secure insurance,and uhaul over charged me $28,this is rediculous.

I had reserved and prepaid a 26' foot truck online along with a hand truck and furniture pads. I did not receive a phone call to confirm any information, only an email saying everything was confirmed as requested. When I went to pick up the truck, I was told that truck did not have any additional equipment. The prepaid money was refunded but then I had to go through the trouble of getting a hand truck on both ends of our move as well as blankets. Also, the attendant said the gas was at 7/8 tank. However, it was just below 3/4 tank and I pointed it out to the attendant immediately. She said she would make a note of it. When I returned the truck to the drop off location, I left it over 3/4 tank because I expected the attendant to have made the fuel information updated. However, I was then charged because the gas was not at 7/8 based on the information they had from U-Haul. The truck worked fine and our move was a success but I was very frustrated by these two issues at this location because it cost me more money as well as effort to get the items we needed.

Well kept facility, rep could have been friendly or at least cordial! She never even made eye contact, ehhhh maybe she was having a bad day but at least greet your customers. Smooth rental overall, I will return with no personality expectations haha!

I would have given five stars because my experience was truly excellent, except U-haul advertises sofa covers for moving and they did not have them. Otherwise, a really great place!

The website stated the location did not open before 10:00am. I received a phone call that the location closed at 12:00pm - seemed a short window of time. Ordered furniture pads but the location did not have any once I arrived. There was some odd policy that I had to have a contact person answer the telephone prior to completing the transaction. A bit embarrassing to explain to the person on the call. Truck was full of mud - which the assistant explained not to worry about cleaning - but no thoughts on tracking the mud into the building from shoes? Service person was very friendly - but the experience was underwhelming.

I was told my card wouldn't be charged until I returned the vehicle but when I checked my account this morning I was charged the day I picked up the vehicle which is 20+ dollars more than I was supposed to be charged

Pick up for an elderly person was very difficult. If my daughter had not been there to help me, I would not have been able to do it on my own.

I had a good experience with using Uhaul as i have before. Uhaul is recommended for people who are in need of moving whether locally or out of town.

The drop off location had been waiting on their equipment to start renting U-Haul and they said they are not set up to rent or accept trucks yet. I went out of the way to drop off U-HAUL at a place that didn't accept them. They gave me 20 miles credit but that still didn't account for the gas that I had to put in U-Haul. May look at Penske rentals next time.

This was my worst experience with U-Haul and I will avoid using your company in my future needs. I rented a sprinter style van on the website but was given a 7 FT cargo/utility van. The dolly I ordered was not available and I was given an appliance dolly instead which is not designed for regular furniture. I specifically signed up for in store pick up and my wife was call and forced to download the app and register for an account and do a self dispatch. My wife was told on the app that she could not pick up the vehicle until 12 hours after the time I reserved it and basically this is the absolute worst experience EVER! I really think you did everything imaginable to make it a horrible experience. Don’t bother calling me unless it’s to give me a refund.

I recommend this facility for storage. It is clean and secure and online bill paying is very easy.

Make sure that the payment options are explained before time of pickup! I git told countless times incorrect information (even after contacting cusromer service 3 days prior, every single day). The location itself is absolutely fabulous! If it wasnt for her i would have went to another location. It was the calling in to customer service (location was closed at the time of pickup) that was the biggest, worst experience.

The truck ride was not very smooth. Until it warmed up, it felt like it needed a lot of gas to get it moving & gave a very bumpy ride--even at speeds below 35 mph.

The mileage was an issue. I was overcharged. I told the agent around 30 miles thinking one way and she put 25 miles in the computer and then I get charged 91.70 after I have to fill the u haul back up. I fill I was over charged 50.00 dollars and I want my money back.

Dealing with our local location was the only positive experience we had. I have been overcharges by adding 2 extra days to the one way rental and have the receipt to show this an error. The wait time when calling the 800 number was in excess of 45 minutes and it seemed the customer service agents on the phone were just trying t get me off the phone instead of making the correct changes. An overall horrible experience and not customer friendly except for the personnel at the Storage Center in Martinsville VA I am in the process of filing a formal complaint.

When we picked up our Uhaul on Monday we gave them an estimate of 50 miles for our trip and ended up going over by a mile and some change. Those charges came off our debit card instantly while the receipt was being printed. Then 2 days later the charges for estimate we gave them of miles were charged and said "pending" and has not yet been reversed 4 days later. I've already called and complained (on Weds) and was told it was a "glitch" in the system. The funds are STILL being held and here it is Friday.

Make sure the equipment is in working order. When it was time for us to use the dolly, we realized both tires were flat. It was after hours so I couldn't return it but I did get a refund.
