The Truck felt like it had an engine issue or misfire of some kind. I also was supposed to receive to hand carts and a furniture cart as well as furniture pads. I received none of it. I am awaiting a refund as I was charged $100 for the truck and equipment which would have been great if I had the equipment. A 4 hour job turned into a 9 hour job. We had a little trouble surrendering the truck after normal business hours ( brought truck back 8:56 pm) same day as rental. Had to make a few calls to get out of locked gate at facility, but figured it out.Sarah H.

The texting check in is not user friendly - at all. Please improve. It took almost 30 minutes to get the keys to our rental. Your computer system needs upgraded. The facility where we picked up the rental needs upgrading. The office was quite small & cluttered. Customers are staggered for checking in due to the size of the office. Spend some money and make this better for employees and customers. No parking for customers. Fix your gate. Install security cameras at gate.Dawn M.

The employee at the Stephen's Self Storage UHaul Rental in Oakdale was great; he was extremely helpful when I needed to change our reservation and was very easy to work with. I can't remember his name, but because of him I'd recommend the location to anyone in the area needing a move.Amanda M.

The owner/manager was kind of a jerk initially. The gate was locked when I was there to pick up the truck at my scheduled time of 9. Tells me he doesn't open until 9:30. Then tells me I need to do all these additional things before I can take the truck. I was ok with doing the additional items but this was not the pick up location I had asked for so top being such a jerk when you are not even open at 9:00 am during a work week. He should not be handling the trucks at this storage facility if you are going to be rude and a jerk to people. I have picked up many U-Hauls and he was the worst person we have ever encountered.Kevin B.

I took the time to sweep out the back of the truck and to wipe down the the cab part of the truck. I wiped down everything in the driver& passenger area of the uhaul and I'm being charged $150 for cleaning. I know there is absolutely no way they had to clean anything.Dayna V.

First reservation was unable to be picked up at different location due to keys not being made available for Truck share pickup. App crashed while trying to check out vehicle initially and was unable to confirm damage which affected the high brake light on the rear of the van. Finally, dropping off the vehicle proved challenging when the key fob would not fit through the slot of the U Haul drop box. Seriously. I was pleasantly surprised when the manager of the location returned my voicemail within a few minutes to provide instructions how to securely leave the keys not using the U Haul drop box.Craig H.

I prefer in person return, site personnel was great but in person return hours are very limited so if you want to turn in to â€œsomeoneâ€ be sure to check open hrs. No issues!!John M.
The gentleman was wonderful and helped us handle a very unfortunate situation with the MN reservation line. Highly recommend the drop-off. But when we called the MN scheduling center to simply ask some questions on a reservation extension, the lady raised her voice at us, refused to acknowledge certain questions such as leadership or what her name was, and ended up hanging up on us mid conversation when we politely asked what her name was again - simply for records initially since we try to document everyone we speak to about reservations. We likely won't use U-Haul again (after dozens of uses) because of this. By far this is the worst customer service experience in our lives.Stephanie S.

Stephen's was great. But my overall UHaul experience was terrible. The truck I had reserved was gone when I arrived and had to wait for well over an hour. I was rescheduled for another truck - longer - at a different facility for which I needed to book a Lyft ride to get there. Fortunately, the manager at Stephen's arrived before the Lyft and I was able to rebook a 20 foot truck.Mark B.

The site was great! Your UHaul online checkout stinks! We spent over an hour trying to gain access and your help desk could not get it either. Had to go home and come back when the store opened to get in person help! Fix the online checkout or get rid of it!!!Garrett K.

The truck was parked on an incline, and I was charged for extra gas. I filled it back to half way, which was more than when I received the truck, but it showed low because of the incline in the lot where it was parked. I got charged for 2 extra gallons that I shouldn't have.Michael R.

There were not clear instructions for how to get inside the gate after hours. I needed to call U-haul twice to make the drop-off. The customer service team was AMAZING when I called (5 stars) but the process itself felt stressful. And, the number on the gate to call for help was not answered. This location charged me twice, plus the dolly protective snap was broken when I picked up the truck. Someone was made aware of it when I picked up the truck, but they tried to charge me for that as well when I returned it. At least there was a nearby gas station to add gas to the truck!Vanessa H.

Got over charged for gas even though I put the same amount in that I usedâ€¦ and got charged $76 for it! Are you kidding?? Also talked to the transportation people of UHAUL multiple times because my order got all mixed up. I was supposed to pick up at one location and drop off at another by my house. They changed it and made me drop it off at the original location I picked it up from which was about 40 miles away! There's another $50 I shouldn't have had to pay! And the icing on the cake is I talked to someone from UHAUL and they said I can bring it back after hours and not get charged. I took his word for it and brought it back an hour late. And once again got charged for it. An absolute train wreck of an experience!Ryan H.

Our truck was supposed to be ready at 830 it was not. Even waiting the 30 minutes put our whole moving schedule off. We should have had time to drop some things off at the dump before they closed and we didn't now costing us a lot of money to remove them via a service.Ryan C.
