When Kim was manager it was horrible. Since this new lady took over, it's been great. She is very helpful. Kim took my lock and several others off and never notified me. My daughter found it and the new lady replaced since she told Kim several months prior ( this is what she told me) to notify me, but never was. No excuses, she jumped. She is Awesome! Will return.

The only cons were that I accidentally went over on my bill without knowing yet I received no emails or calls about it, instead I had a delinquent fee and lots of late fees. Also on 4 different occasions/days I tried calling. Not a single time (during posted business hours) anyone picked up the phone. Other than that the staff was friendly and everything was good.

I am highly unsatisfied with my experience. Whenever I move, which I move often, I always choose Uhaul. So for this move I reserved a 15 foot truck a week before I needed it online. I received a call the day before pickup to confirm and they switched locations on me to 6215-6247 E Main St Mesa, AZ. We showed up at the first location at 8:50 am for a 9 am pickup. The lady working was very nice but took a while to open the door, and notified us that she has no trucks for us to take. It took over 25 minutes for her to get in contact with Uhaul to find a location. We went to the next location, 1864 E Southern Ave in Mesa, who luckily just got the truck the night before. Once we arrived and had to work through technical issues where it wouldnt allow us to pay. At 9:50 am we finallly got our truck when we were supposed to meet my moving help at 9:20 am... Uhaul did not communicate with these stores for reservations, for where trucks are, if trucks are ready. At 6215-6247 E Main St Mesa, AZ, the Uhaul representative tried to get the worker to rent us a uhaul truck that has not been inspected for our 800 mile trip. The truck we ended up renting was dirty and not clean, it was only swept out in the back. We disenfected it ourselves and it our paper towels were black, this is not acceptable during COVID. I suggest these locations increase their cleaning protocols, that Uhaul communicates with their stores, and to have consistent information given to customers. Both locations the staff was doing their best to get us a truck and had amazing customer service but it was very frustrating as I paid a few hundred dollars for a rental truck and did not get the service promised.

The woman at this location was very helpful after the whole scheduling / Pick-up dibocal from the first location. Reserved a car dolly and when I went to pick it up at the scheduled time, opps, it was closed. Ended up getting the dolly at Star Mini Storage but that was 10 miles out of the way in one direction. This experience has really turned me off to U-haul. I lost 2.5 hours and $20.00 in extra gas having to switch locations. Really disappointed.

THIS WAS THE WORST DROP OFF EVER!!! There were no instructions on how to drop off the uhaul and no one was available to help. We were stuck there for over an hour trying to figure out how to leave the uhaul and keys. Absolutely horrible.

Kim was wonderful! We rented a 5X8 trailer after filling the truck we had rented. One of the turn signals on the trailer wouldn't work. Through trial and error she discovered there was a problem with the connection on our vehicle. We were able to fix the problem and were on our way.

Every time I called the rudest representative would answer the phone. The same person Kim told me they would be open at 9am. I show up at 9 and no one was there. I waited around 15 mins and nothing. I had to call multiple times after being told that I would be getting a call back from them (same person Kim). I'll also never go to this location ever again.

I dropped off one piece of equipment and the guy was less than helpful. It was a tight space and he couldn't tell me where he wanted it. He wasn't going to check me in until I mentioned it. Then he had to call the manager to figure out how to do it.

Make sure you give the right truck and then make sure Traffic has their computers working properly. The lady at the mini-storage was doing her best with a flawed system.

They had trouble putting things in place for me to take the tow dolly. When I returned it 3 hours later no one was there and I had to wait for 30 minutes for someone to show up. This is a storage place that does U Haul. Next time I will go to a U Haul place.

Horrible customer service. It took me over an hour and a half to rent a U-Haul. I even had to go online and reserve it because customer service guy didn't know how. And once I did that, he took another 45 minutes to finish up. I believe he called customer service about 5 times.

The office staff need to learn more about what each size truck will hold. I asked if the 10' truck would hold a 1 bedroom and the lady assured me it would. After only being able to get one couch and love seat I had to go back to their office and get a bigger truck. horrible!

This location is by far the worse. I've never experienced such horrific customer service in all my life. I had another representative from Uhaul on the line so they can hear/witness the verbal onslaught i was receiving. The young lady on the phone was kind enough to check me in over the phone so i wouldn't have to deal with the person at the storage facility. She even tried to patch me in with the regional manager so i can lodge a compliant, but he seemed less interested in what was going on, and advised that he's somewhat busy. I just ended up hanging up on the guy. I can no longer do business with Uhaul for this specific reason, due to the fact that you will never know who you will be dealing with at either a pick up or drop off location. Worst Sunday of my life, and it started with a gentleman at Star Mini Storage who was frazled by the fact the his system was down and couldn't handle the presurre of customers walking in during that time frame. Imagine if all customer service was that way?

My wait time to check vehicle in and out was terrible. I was the only person there and it still took the representative a very long time to get me in and out. It would be very helpful if your representative had a working knowledge of computers and what they where suppose to be doing.

The lady whom was working 7/28/14 morning shift was very nice and helpful. But when I was returning the truck at 3:00 pm the same day, the office was closed and they suppost to close at 6:00 pm. It was pain because I have to work the next day. I went to the office the next day at 8:00 am ( office hours) and the guy was 20 minutes late and the computer didn't work right and he was doing something outside the building in order to get a right connection. I was getting late for work and I told him that I have to leave without the closing paper work.

When we returned the truck we were left waiting for 45 minutes in the office while the gentleman took phone calls on his cell phone. Then, when he got back, he could not figure out how to charge the card that was used for the reservation as we had discussed over the phone. In addition, the only two parking spots in front of the office are being occupied by the location to advertise the vans for rental, so you have to park around the corner on the street.

The person that I dealt with "Vince" was either drunk, high or had dementia. He should in Nooooo way be representing U-Haul. You really need to send in a secret shopper to assess what is going on in there. It would take pages and pages of dialog to tell you the horror show that was my experience @ this location. I was finally able to secure my truck after 40 min of TRYING to talk/reason with the nut mentioned above, when "Kim" came to the rescue and I was finally on my way. The "truck" was almost brand new and was fantastic, no complaints. Returning the truck was crazy town part 2-I actually have a witness (another truck renter) as I can attest to her experience as well. It took over 45 min to return the truck and I still could NOT get "VINCE" to verify I returned the truck in good condition, verify mileage or fuel so I would not be charged for anything. I finally just had to take pictures with my phone as proof so nothing would come back on me. He should NOT be associated with U-Haul if you care anything about it's representation. Seriously, someone needs to go check it out, it was one of the craziest experiences I have ever had. The truck was great, Kim was great.

My experience at Star Mini Storage was a complete nightmare and I don't recommend anyone using their services. Storage facility did not open at scheduled time, they were at least 20 minutes late. Employees did not know how to properly rent equipment or process. Provided incomplete paperwork and needed multiple revisions and payments. Did not include tow dolly, dolly or any insurance as requested in paperwork or payment initially. Truck was dirty from prior rental and gas was not at level indicated in agreement. Employee left during rental multiple times to assist other customers around the lot. Ultimately the entire process took 2 hours before I was able to leave. Employee recommended purchase of trailer adapter that turned out to be unnecessary. Employee was vulgar, unkempt and unprofessional. Employee took my rental agreement/paperwork out of truck without my knowledge, did not find out until I had already arrived home. After arriving home noticed that the tail light on the tow dolly had completely fallen out and was missing. Called customer service and found out that the facility had given me a completely different tow dolly than listed in my rental agreement. The equipment numbers did not match with my signed agreement. Contacted Star Mini Storage and confirmed that they would replace the tow dolly for one with a tail light and provide me with my corrected and original rental agreements that they took from the truck. Drove back to Star Mini Storage as requested by Uhaul customer service which I don't even think is legal due to the fact that the equipment wasn't officially rented or insured to me. When I arrived employee refused to replace tow dolly or repair tail light as they had agreed while on the line with customer service. Finally received the rental agreement that they took and a change of equipment agreement for the tow dolly. Wasted half my day getting to this point and still had to pack and move out of state without a safe tow dolly. After arriving at my final location, realized that they never added insurance for the truck to my rental agreement as requested even though paperwork was provided. One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a company let alone a storage facility.
