The lights did not work on the trailer. We had to leave out of state on a specific day so we could not wait. We took it home and did the best we could to make them work but they ended up going out on the road. Their bad wiring kept causing our car to blow fuses. We lost several hours of drive time waiting at a rest stop in the middle of nowhere in AZ for roadside assistance. The guy who showed up for us was absolutely amazing. Worked for 2hrs in the cold, rewiring the light on the trailer.

Christopher AyalaA few things. Stated the fuel was at 1/4 tank when it was actually 1/8. And when returned they wrote down the wrong mileage. When I pointed this out they had already charged me. Then took 45 mins to figure out how to do a refund. Now I wait 2-3 days to see if it actually goes back into my account. Employees were very unfriendly and unknowledgeable.

Karen LongWell my truck had a different light plug in, I think they should change specify what plug ins trailer uses so you can have the correct one when going to rental place, instead they charge you to use one of theirs and make you return it even though you paid for it.

Delia GonzalezI got to the uhaul rental and the attendant didn't even come out to check the truck upon pick up. During drop-off she walked out Checked the truck and rolled her eyes. When we walked back into the store she proceeded to hand me a broom and tell me that I didn't sweep the truck. I swept the truck twice before returning it and explained to her that the truck was dirty when I had picked it up. She gave me attitude for the rest of check out. Honestly will never come back to this uhaul location. Spent almost 300 dollars on a rental for her to give such rude customer service

KENNY SMITH2 weeks prior to this rental, I had rented a truck at this location. Although they were not busy, it took 50 minutes to get my truck. The rental was handled by a very rude, surly lady. I was not asked whether or not I desired any additional insurance, but upon receiving the contract, I noticed a $14.00 charge for "Safe Move" coverage. Being in a hurry, I did not make an issue of it. I certainly did not want to wait another 50 minutes to have the contract rewritten. Now, 2 weeks later, I needed to rent a truck again. This time I was helped by a pleasant enough man. Remembering my insurance add on from 2 weeks ago, I immediately informed him that no additional coverage was needed. After waiting about 50 minutes again (i guess it is mandatory with U-HAUL that a contract needs 50 minutes to be written), I see the familiar "Safe Move" charge of $14.00. I reminded him that I did NOT want additional coverage. He apologized, explained that it would take too long to void and then rewrite the contract, but he would deduct it from my mileage charge. And that was fine with me. I walk out to my rental, get in, and find myself sitting in garbage. Ankle deep in used napkins, soda cans, take out food wrappers, etc. Not a big deal, as I figured it would only take 2 - 3 minutes to dump it out while I got gas. The windshield and mirrors looked as if they were never washed. Again, no big deal. The gas gauge registered a shade under 3/8 tank. My contract said it had 1/2 tank. That WAS a big deal, as it was a 5 gallon (or $20 discrepancy). I had him come out to the truck, and yes, he changed the contract to read 3/8. I also pointed out the "Tire inflation" light was on, and the passenger seat had 3 little rips in it. No big deal to him, so no big deal to me. Now, comes the fun part. I return the truck about 90 minutes late. I am assisted by the sour lady from 2 weeks prior. She goes out to the truck to check my mileage. I had inadvertently left my water bottle in the cab. She picked it up, and THREW IT AT ME! She actually threw it at me, while SCREAMING that I did not clean out the truck. I couldn't help but laugh. She reminded me of the wicked witch in Wizard Of Oz. Upon opening the back of the truck, she spied a 5 foot wooden handle with a hook attached to it. I knew that it was there, and had figured that it belonged to them. And now she screams that I didn't clean out the back, and I would be charged $20.00 additional. That did not sit well with me, as I rented a pig sty, and returned a truck with a water bottle and a "tool" which I thought belonged to them. So, we walk back to the store. Politely I ask what was needed to "clean" the truck. No response. "You want me to sweep it out?" No response. Again I inquire, "You want me to sweep it out?" No response. This time, I reword my offer. "Lady, lend me your broom. I'll sweep out the truck". I KNOW that she has a broom. ALL witches have a broom, right? No response. Well, I'm done offering. I figure I'll just pay the $20.00, and get out of there (BTW, she did NOT charge me a cleaning fee). And then the silence is broken. She hands me a copy of my receipt, and says, "Here. Sign this". I start to look it over, and again, "Here. Sign this". She has charged me for a third day. 90 minutes late, and I'm charged for a full day. Now stay with me. The BEST PART OF THE STORY IS ABOUT TO UNFOLD. "Sign this". "Lady, get the man over here. He was going to adjust the mileage because of "accidentally" charging for "Safe Move". And, not only that, if you're charging me for a full day because I am 90 minutes late, give me back the truck." Here it comes.....and I SWEAR on everything that I consider holy that the following is true... She takes a SWING AT ME!! Open handed, but she ACTUALLY TAKES A SWING AT MY HEAD!! She missed. I laughed. It really was funny. It would NOT have been funny if my wife was there. It would have been tragic. It would have been REALLY BAD. But my wife was not there. And as she screamed, "Get out of my store; Get out of my store......." I walked out, and couldn't help but think that today was the luckiest day of her life. Had my wife been there....... To me, life is a comedy. So this encounter was funny. But to anyone who reads this, if it happened to you, this would probably be a terrible experience. I feel sorry for her husband.
RUSS KAUFMANI requested a utility Dolly and an appliance Dolly and all they had were utility dollies so I had to settle on that. The person at the counter wasn't the friendliest and all I wanted to do was to get out of there. The truck itself was clean and was what I had rented but it was more the customer service, or lack there of.

Bennie LoudermilkDon't charge for 6 days automatically. I used it 2 days and was charged 6 and then uhaul called me to see if I could turn it in early. I turned it in early as requested. Should get a partial refund since it was only used a third of the time and was requested to turn in early.

Jim WrenI was over charged. When I placed the reservation online for the 15 ft truck, it was $79. When I went to pick up the truck, the 15 for truck hadn’t been returned. I was offered a 10 ft truck and $40 off. I appreciated the offer but a 10 ft truck was not big enough. I had drive from LA to Taft And didn’t want to waste all that time Ana money. I accepted the offer but was still charged over $150. The math doesn’t add up, especially when I was suppose to get $40 off.

Michael HaydenWhen I’m told I can drop off a box truck at a specific location and I drive to that location, the location I set up with the reservation, then I revive a call from Uhaul telling me that location is full and then next available location is over 30 miles away, that is not acceptable to me. Then I’m told if I don’t drive to truck to another location other than the drop off I booked, I will have to pay a daily rate until I do return the truck to another location other than what we agreed to, that’s not ok by me either. Last time I use uhaul over a year ago the return location asked me got my contract. I could not find it but I remembered the price I was to be charged. They said that amount is incorrect you owe us $600. Then I found the contract and showed the thief uhaul guy and he gets nervous and says sorry we made a mistake, you are right you will be charged the lesser amount. I feel as if Uhaul is a un reputable company. And I told the guy in Taft that rented me the truck that I have had trouble with Uhaul before and to tell me everything about the trip from Taft Ca. To Borrego springs Ca so I don’t have any surprises. I almost had a nervous break down when Uhaul called me today as I feel extorted. I had to call corporate number to straighten things out and they did after much unneeded grief for me. What is wrong with your company . How many other people do you give the run around to? I got the run around from you guys the last two times I rented from you. I’m very very , very upset and non of this sits well with me. I want compensation for my grief.
rodrigo tamayoWe were given a new closed trailer which was great but I’d did have a nail in the tire and uhaul had to come to our house to fix it fortunately there was no damage to the tire and we made it to our destination no problems
