You need a bigger truck. 12' foot is great for small moves. 15' is good for medium moves, but you have nothing for the bigger moves. Something in the 20' range would be perfect.

U-haul Company should Direct U-haul representatives to inform customers that trucks automatically default to trailer load which eats ALOT of gas - which you must refill before returning truck. Cost me $20 to fill after driving 70 miles. Plus I paid an additional current charge of $1.09 per mile & extra for truck. Total cost was $138.42. I felt ripped off and filed a complaint.

The counter person was a snot. Rude on the phone and rude in person. The UHaul website confirmed a 7am pickup, but when I showed up there was no way for me to get the truck. I had to wait until 10am when the business opened.

During my rental period the Oil change message was on all the time

I was Informed that the location I was picking up the rental truck was guaranteed. So when it was moved to a pick up 10 miles further away I ended up have to drive an extra 20 miles and changed for the extra driving due to the change of location . I'm not happy and will not be using u haul again.

I had my worst experience on customer service, The maneger was not professional . Charging my card without discussing all the options he added. Helping other customers for his storage business and keep me waiting saying he isn't making money on Uhaul . Don't recommend this place if other options available.

Poor communication, dishonest about gas surcharges. walk thru with customer for check out and return. Take care one customer at the time, if charges on the contract not correct, fix it yourself at the time instead tell customer to call uhaul and later denied. Buyer with high cation at this uhaul office.

When I picked up the rental van on Wednesday at 5:30 my conversation with the manager was that we were to load the truck Wednesday night and return it Thursday evening as we had to meet people to unload late afternoon. I received a call Thursday morning at 11:30 asking why the truck wasn't back and that it was scheduled to be back at 11:29. She would have to charge me an additional late fee What?? I explained to the Erin that we had a full truck that was not to be unloaded until that afternoon and would like to speak to the manager. She told me he was out but would be back in the office within the hour and would call me. I did not hear back from them so I assumed that they had worked it out. When I was on my way back to return the vehicle at approx 5:00 I received another very rude message on my phone about the van being extremely late and they needed it back at 11:29 am. I listened to the message as I was gassing up and returned it a few minutes later. When I arrived the manager was present and actually argued with me about the time frame. I explained that I would have never agreed to that timeline as it did not work for our time frame. At this point the manager should have apologized for any misunderstanding. The customer service in this situation was beyond inappropriate and caused a great deal of additional stress for what should have been an exciting day moving my youngest daughter into her new place for the first time. As I had to wait for my husband for an hour to finish up I sat at a local restaurant to unwind,. The truck was still sitting there much later. This establishment has a large board with monthly goals. This is a great thing until it the customer suffers!

I made the reservation over the phone and was not asked if I wanted insurance. I did NOT want insurance, as my private insurance is more than adequate. But, I was billed for the $10 insurance without having been asked or notified. I would like this taken off my bill.

Everything went well until Sound Storage double billed me. I went to the grocery store thinking I had enough money using my debit card to purchase food items I needed in my new senior living apartment and my card was declined...twice. How terribly embarrassing! Since I hadn't had my landline hooked up yet, my friend used her cell phone to call Sound Storage to see if I had been charged too much. At first we were told my other friend had brought it in late. That was NOT TRUE! After saying she'd ask Brandy about it we called back. Brandy said there HAD been a mix-up but I had to call my Credit Union to have them release the 2nd charges on my debit card. We were told that this was the 1st time this had ever happened. I understand mistakes can happen, however, what I DON'T understand is why the 1st person we talked to said the truck was brought in late. My friend got to Sound Storage and the truck was checked in and a cash refund was given back to my friend for a box we had also purchased that in the end, we didn't need. Instead of investigating the reason for the overcharge, she pretty much said they were entitled to that money. Brandy finally corrected everything and this morning all is well again. She's totally responsible for relieving all the stress I was having and had it not been for her I wouldn't have had any sleep last night. Brandy needs a raise, the 1st person we talked to needs to be retrained.
