I put in six weeks ago to rent a 15 foot truck and a car hauler. I asked how early I could get it they said 10 o'clock. I asked what location I can get it closest to our son in Havelock I was told Friendly's pawn. Two days before I called up to confirm it to the main 800 number and was told I can't have it at Friendly's pool and they don't have any. I'd have to go to Morehead city. I told him it was 40 minutes down the road further 40 minutes back.After I got all worked up as I shouldn't have him on chemo. I Got a call on Friday before this weekends rental to tell me not to go to Morehead that I could go 10 miles down the road only well that was warm welcome but the hour was really late knowing we had a whole house to pack into that truck and if I took it the night before it of course was another whole day they told me. So they told us to go to this location in Newport North Carolina pick up the truck got there at 10:30 horrible traffic because they had an airshow at the airbase. The woman looked at me and said oh your keys in an outside box 24 hour pick up I said why weren't we told that we've been sitting in Raleigh North Carolina waiting to come down hereTo get the truck she said oh they should've told you it was in the pick up box you could've had it after midnight last night wow well we angry five hours we waited we could've had that truck filled . The truck was so dirty so filthy I got pictures of everything it had never been cleaned out not washed it was it look like it went across country. The woman herself said she's had problems at U-Haul lots of problems. I would like a GM or a DM of U-Haul to call me this is unacceptable we we didn't get out of Havelock because of a airshow and the roads were blocked and the people were all over 5 1/2 hours we could've been done and out of there at eight in the morning if they told me I could've had my truck. The only recommendation I have is not parking the uhaul on the grass by the road. I picked it up at 4 am. Was very dark. Parking under a parking lot light or closer to the building would have been less â€œcreepyâ€.Diane H.

This was nice, but I called the closest uhaul dealer. Had what I needed, but said it was for local only. Had to go 9 miles one way out of my way to get equipment.ANTHONY N.
When I went to pick up this unit, I passed 2 other locations much closer than this one. The agent was nice enough to discount 20 miles from the bill. However, dispatch should have looked closer for units closer to my location. Just another way for U-Haul to increase revenue for the company. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER with this rental.Robert D.

Process was too overbearing. Local service provider wouldnt respond to messages when there was a question or an issue. The local provider was out of touch with my reservation. texted me after a week reservation to tell me that I do not have the truck and didnt offer me a different size. I had to call the national office to get anyone to assist me.Upon returning the truck, I again was given bad info. Good thing I didnt listen to them or I would have had more issues.Joseph S.

The online checkout process needs to be streamlined. For example, just have one screen for taking the two required snapshots. I had hooked up the trailer when I picked it up, so I didn't need all the step-by-step videos to unhook it. Because of having to go through all the screens, I spent 15 minutes in the drop off process when it should have only been five.Thomas M.
