I chose the Mobil pickup and drop off option. Definitely not what I expected! No cell reception for AT&T at location and needed to drive down the block to login. Once I was logged in I still had to get the keys from inside the store. I was expecting to enter a code on a lockbox location on the truck rental. When I returned the truck I took pictures of the fuel and mileage so I could upload them when I closed out the rental. No option on Uhaul app to upload pictures of truck. I couldn't return the truck through the app and the store was closed at the time. I resorted to calling customer service and waited on hold for 20 minutes before I could let someone know the truck was returned before the end of my contract. Mobile pickup and drop off option needs serious improvements!Emmett W.
Rental truck was in Empty when I picked it up. I was given a $28 credit if I returned the truck at a qtr tank, which I did. Problem is I spent nearly $40 to get to a qtr tank, more than what I should have. Location didn't have any of the equipment I was supposed to get so I had to go To a second location using more gas. Lights were checked by U-haul Management on pickup, told us it was working, checked one hour later after store had closed for weekend and lights were not working. Notified dealer upon return in Southern California, hopefully no one had the same problem. No fun driving LA freeways without all lights, and turning signals working.Melissa M.
If you rent a dollar and furniture pads they should be in the truck. Then you should be issued refund like told it would be. It's only $20 but I should have not been charged for something I didn't get.Andy C.

I was told to pick up my trailer at this location on Sunday at 9:00am however they are closed on Sundays!!! Fortunately the owners live on the property and after 30 minutes they were able to get our trailer rented.GARY M.

The location was hard to find. The representative poorly guided me to parking the truck in a specific space that she wanted, not what was most convenient for me, because she said "she couldn't drive those things well." Any U-Haul employee should be able to. Furthermore, she overcharged me for gas reporting that it was at half a tank, when it was at 3/4 of a tank. I feel ripped off! Will never use U-Haul again!Andrew M.

Great people. No frills. We rented the trailer for our luggage traveling in a Ford Flex. The couple that helped us are very down to earth and made sure the trailer I rented was good to go. They even called to verify the rental. Straight and to the point. They probably think they won't see me again and still made sure my trailer was in good working order to go across country to Alabama. The employees were amazing! They were super helpful when we couldn't get our vehicle off of the trailer (dead battery). They gave us free snacks and drinks as we were trying to figure out what to do. The staff there went above and beyond. I honestly think they were the some of the most professional and best customer service/employees/retail personnel I have ever dealt with. I usually don't write these things unless I'm pissed about something, but I hope someone sees this and rewards them for their effort and consideration.Justinian Z.
My mistake about previous review. I've now spoken to a top UHaul Manager who said the jump in price from $144. reserved to $260 occurred at the Santa Barbara location, 4417 Hollister Av Santa Barbara, CA 93110, not at this Santa Maria location. The rep in Santa Maria is not to blame. It was a computer glitch that the Santa Barbara location didn't catch, and which hopefully now that I've gotten to the right top person, will be refunded. So yes, it would pick up or return from this location again.Deborah M.
Price on uhaul dot com $.79/mile while at location I was charged $.99/mile. I have rented from several locations and each time I have been delayed because of computer problems. It seems like you would want to get your act together.ronald W.

Clean the vehicle. Very dirty I have many pics. Also inform the customer you are closed on Sundays and that there is a special way you have to get a code to get the key for the your vehicle. (Called 24/7 ). If given the courtesy of that, the day would have been simpler.Thomas W.

The gentleman at the counter seemed very discontent with his job, it was 10am when I picked up the truck and 9am when I dropped it off. Customer service was not it's best. I used the phone application for a prior rental and probably will use that over the grouch. Thank YouJohn F.
