John O.When we dropped our truck off at Sam's auto in Haverhill MA The attendant there was rude we had already parked the truck and then he told us we had to move it he tried having a squeeze it in between 2 vehicles 1 of which has his personal vehicle almost like he wanted us to hit it. It was unsafe and dangerous for a 26' truck with an average driver to back into such a Small spot. We had already parked and then he had us move it for his convenience. He kept directing us where we were very close to hitting his vehicle and another u-haul pick up truck thank God I was there to direct my fiance the proper way Unfortunately I don't think I would recommend uhaul to a friend for family member.

Keri R.Being run behind a gas station. Truck was a mess. Inside windshield was filthy. When returning truck guy was yelling at me to park it into a different spot from where I parked it. It was very dark and really tight spot. When I mentioned I couldn't see very well, he just yelled louder. Very unprofessional. Took keys from me once I was able to back in and said good night. I asked about paperwork and he said all I need are the keys then turned and walked away. Unbelievable that U-Haul would allow a place like this to represent them.

Kevin W.the girl here was nice and helpful but you guys totally screwed up our whole morning. i was supposed to pick this up at 371 market st in lawrence ma and we called because to make the pick up time earlier. when the girl on the phone made it earlier she changed the pick up location which was 30 min away. we spoke to probably 5 different people who constantly passed blame and sent you to another department and another and another. one girl said they called and confirmed the pick up location change on friday at 10am. friday at 10am i was at work and not answering my personal phone. so whatever she said was a lie. the plan was to pick up the truck in lawrence at 10am. we ended up not getting the truck and back to start loading until around 1pm. you guys never sent me an email about the change in time and location and wasted my time and all the time of our family who came early at 10am to help us. i dont want to pay for anything regarding this experience.

Jason P.Drop off was confusing - attendant took keys and gave us the thumbs up but there was no reciept or record given to show we had returned on tube and the attendant wouldn't give us his name. Thankfully the next day the return was confirmed on our online account but it was a frustrating night worrying we'd be charged extra or liable for extra time/mileage/damage after our return. Sam's also didn't answer the phone or return our messages at any point that afternoon/evening so we ended up driving over to try to get a reciept for our return (which they couldn't give us, but we did take pictures of the van and mileage just in case). Otherwise, though, the rental pick up and the rental itself were great.

Richard B.The truck was fine and pick up of the truck was good. Dropping off the truck was an issue. The woman in charge of the rentals had left for the day and the mechanics had to receive the truck from us. They were yelling at customers including us. One guy told us to get gas so we pulled the truck up to their full service station and then they yelled that we should park the truck behind the building. I told him we were getting gas just like he told us too and he yelled to just park it out back. They would not pump gas for us to fill the truck. So we had to return the truck without gas. Although we didn't use much gas anyways. The staff were rude and I will not go to this place again. I also will not recommend them to anyone.

Lisa E.I placed a reservation 3 weeks prior to the pickup date. One day before the pickup date, they told me the 20 feet truck is not available at the nearest location, Malden MA. They offered a 15 feet truck which I refused. They suggested a 20 ft truck in Haverhill, one hour away. I rented this truck one-way from Boston to Houston and almost died on the road with my 2 cousins after the back tire on the driver side exploded, the tire next to it was in bad shape, we were lucky both of them didn't explode. One of the tires on the passenger side was almost flat. I want to make it clear that this review is not about the locations, but the overall service. If one is being charged a hefty amount of money, the least thing Uhaul should do is to make sure the inventory is properly managed and the security of renters assured by prepping the truck accordingly. One of my cousins didn't drive after the accident, he was traumatized, scared that something else will happen.
