All of the online process is a bit of a pain. There is no human interaction, so if you need help or want to do something, and the app or website doesn't work like it should, you have to guess and hope for the best. Truck had a low tire (not the end of the world) and was a little dirty in the cab(also not the end of the world). I would still do it again, only because there aren't better options and it wasn't expensive enough to make me go elsewhere.Matthew B.

The person that was working there on November 13 was very rude, next time I wanna move things I will go somewhere else. Don't recommend that anyone should use the U-Haul in Salem Ohio. Live in alliance had had to drive to Salem to get truck and was going to get charged more money if I dropped truck off in Massillon where I moved to. So had to drive back to Salem to drop truck off and cost me gas money anyway. One of U-Hauls bright ideas.roger K.

A little complicated in today's world of getting a U-Haul when there's no one on the premises but I got through it hopefully I returned it okay but there was definitely no orange drop box for the key at all just a regular slotjason S.

The truck was dirty inside, and had a strong smell of marijuana.it also had ashes all over the dash and what appeared to be pieces of marijuana. I sent a message about it thru the app, and got no reply. I use U-Haul a lot lately, and will need one again in the next few days. A discount t or something would be nice.Craig R.
Front desk employee was very friendly and helpful. Truck we originally reserved was clean but would not come out of park. We were provided with another bigger truck at the same original price. The truck smelled like cigarette smoke but I will assume they were not planning on having to send that truck out or it would've smelled better. Maintenance employee was very friendly and helpful also. Very pleased with the experience. Will recommend to others and definitely use again!Bonita N.
The GMC 26 foot truck I rented was a piece of crapâ€¦. The interior was dirty, the headliner was ripped and hanging, the suspension creaked and squeaked every time I hit a bump. There was a brand new Ford sitting in the lot that I really wish I would've requested. If I need to rent another truck from U-Haul and the truck, they assigned me is anything like the one I recently rented, I'll put my credit card back in my wallet and walk away.Glenn S.

The local store was fine. The truck was clean when I picked it up and clean when I returned it yet I was charged a $25 cleaning fee. I was just getting nickel and dimed by U-Haul. I was really upset about the process to pick up the truck before hours. The app and the requirements, to provide a passport or lease agreement or 3 people to verify I would return the truck was very frustrating. U-Haul should have informed me at the time of booking what the additional requirements were vs waiting until I'm standing at the store trying to pick up the truck. They should review that process for a better customer experience because that I received was a 1 out of 10!David H.

The online return process was unexpectedly time-consuming. The message containing the link to the process should mention that there are several questions to answer and photos to be taken, and that keys should not be put in the drop box until the online return has been completed successfully.Sue C.

Disappointed with the process and communication with renting. Location of where the trailer was located, was not communicated. Had to drive to a different site. Not told that I should be looking for a text with information to fill out on it. Whole process took an hour to get a trailer rented due to the lack of communication. It set me back an hour for my trip to do what I needed. U-Haul website is extremely slow and is not user friendly. Also, the ability to rent a trailer at one site and drop it off at another is expensive and worthless. It's a shame that you charge double or triple to do this, just to keep a trailer in a certain area. It would be less wear on your equipment if you did this. Not pleased how your company is doing business. The local franchise is fine, just needs to improve on communication. U-Haul corporate has some issues that need taken care of.rich P.

The truck has over 156,000 miles on it and was sounding every bit the age. I used it only for seven mile total trip. If my journey was across country I would have asked for a different truck. Nothing against the rental shop owner, he is a stand up guy. I'm pretty sure if my rental was more involved than moving two appliances, he would have assigned me a different vehicle. I have used Uhaul many times over the years for both business and personal use and never had a problem. But this place is the worst!! I have never given a bad review but this place needs it!! If you haven't rented yet and your checking reviews before you rent... go ANYWHERE else...Terry A.

The truck door on back kept getting stuck and not wanting to latch and then the battery died and I had to wait for my father n law to get his battery pack and had to charge the battery for it to start and then to scared to shut the uhual off Incase it didn't start so not much stuff got moved .Heather P.

We got charged $110 for a box truck we rented for less than 8 hours...we were told it was $30 plus mileage. We will be using another rental company for future uses.Werner F.

Charged me for insurance which i told him i did not want. When i returned the van, i asked if he wanted to see the mileage and fuel usage. He said he would get it later. Later that day, on my charge card i was charged for two gallons of gas -- the van i rented gets 18 mpg -- i only went 13 miles!! and i added one gallon of gas to the tank before i returned it. I took pictures of the mileage and fuel gauge when i got the van and when i returned it. A good customer representative from uhaul (named Pat), she refunded the insurance charge. I sent the pictures to Pat and she also refunded the extra charges once she viewed the pics. TAKE PICTURES IF YOU USE THIS BUSINESS!! AND USE CUSTOMER SERVICE IF NEEDEDJames L.

I struggled a little with the checklist picking up my uhaul. Fortunately the office was open so I was able to accomplish the task. Returning was easier to navigate and I was able to do that. My overall experience was excellent.Marilyn C.

I had to make a 60-mile round trip to trade out trucks. I expected more courtesy in lieu of not having any attempts made to refund partial cost. Clerk was ambivalent to my presence.Denis C.
