raymond wWhen I first initially called I was not impressed. The man I spoke to was very unpleasant but when we got to safeguard we were greeted with such friendliness. Would travel from Parksville again just for the service we received.

stephen FWe have bevome regulars at Safegaurd Storage & we always recommend them :) I do have one recommendation ***For the UHaul rental forms online…. so others don’t go through what I did at Tswwassen ferry terminal coming to the island. I got to the ferries at 12:30 pm .. ahead of my reserved a ferry online for 3pm, What I did not know is that a 15foot truck rental Is considered a “”commercial vehicle “” no matter if it’s empty or full.. so can I recommend you add an extra line in there if this vehicle or bigger trucks ate going off island to mark Commercial”” in their reservations It was a busy day for the ferries and I’m reserved for 3pm,,,,so because of this they took away my 3pm reservation and put me and the truck on standby for Ferris 5 or 7 pm which meant I’d miss my drop off time for 5pm on Victoria side :( And have to stay overnight to change destination to 9:30 am .. which also meant the truck would be late for drop off time At the end of the day, I had the universe on my side and because I was standby I did however make it on the ferry and all destinations and drop offs on time I am a 100% satisfied customer and I’ll always recommend a U-Haul for life but I think if you put just put that little note rental pages go can be prepared and not end up with the worst case scenario Vancouver side trying to come back home

Even when I got the one bedroom box kit.

The app needs to be more user friendly as it ended up asking for three separate phone numbers just to pick up the truck. Not a helpful mobile pick-up process.

Lauren POne staff was wearing pajamas, didn’t realize she worked there and was arguing with lady at desk about who was next in line. I checked in online and still had to wait at least 10 mins to be handed the keys and wait for them to discuss that I was next in line. They were nice though, just a strange experience.

AUSTRICLINIO BYour customer support over the phone didn't know how to drop off after hours, no indications on where to park, where to leave the key and how to secure the vehicle. How can you have an after hours drop off option in your system without any indications on how to do it? You should have a big sign with instructions. I was lucky enough enough that a lady from the store was passing after hours and saw that I was struggling in -15 degrees, she helped me to drive the truck into the parking area (otherwise I would have had to leave the truck in the street) and I gave the key to her. Finally you don't even provide a strap for the back of the truck included in the rental of the truck. The 10' truck that I rented has a big 19.90 CAD sign on the side, but you fail to mention all the extras that build up and I ended up paying 430 CAD plus another 30 for over mileage. It was such and expensive move that I will only use your service as a last option in the future. The whole experience was mediocre at best. Work on your customer services, for sales you put your most cooperative people, foray other enquiries you put your less Engage and committed staff, who are none helpful, take forever to answer and they basically leave you hanging in the middle of the night on freezing weather and hoping you figure it out. He literally said to me to just follow the app to drop off the keys where the app told me to, he had no idea where anything was in that location.

GERALD CWe experienced a hassle on picking up from Cliff St. As no one from that location was there to assist us. The office was close. Knowing that we able to book a truck online. Tried to call them for couple of times but no one answered. So I tried to call u-haul customer service and direct us to a new truck pick up location. All of us has work in the afternoon and ended up being late because of what happened. Even they let us use a bigger truck with the same rate, we don’t need that as we just picked up things good enough for just a 10ft truck. I asked the customer service over the phone if am I entitled for a 50$ cash back and he said no As the booking was just made today. But even it was just today, I still able to booked it and arranged everything on our end. I just didn’t expect that they will messed up.

Myles DI was charged incorrectly he added on an extra day and 100 miles and when I dropped off truck I got charged again for the extra day and 150 miles. Very upset that my original quote was 208 and I ended up paying almost $600 very unacceptable.

It’s because of her excellent service and professional demeanour that I’d recommend this location to anyone. If ever I need to rent a truck again, it’s going to be U-Haul and it’s going to be this location.

Billi Ji moved the sunshine coast. They NEVER informed me that uhaul is classified as a commerical vehicle which cost alot more on the ferry. VERY BAD SERVICE!. I will never recommend Uhaul to anyone.
shelby sTruck was clean. Exhaust was full of holes making the truck extremely loud. Was hard on fuel due to 0 back pressure on exhaust. Burnt twice as much fuel as expected. I got lots of funny looks with the sound of this beast.
