My overall rental experience was a nightmare. I had to change locations 3 times because you did not have the truck size I needed (despite the website saying the site had it). When I got the truck the windshield wasn't clean, there were receipts and ketchup packets on the dash. The whole experience was terrible.DEREK O.
The drop-off Location didn't have a box to drop off keys. Even though one should have been present.It was difficult to determine the next steps to take. Also, the Location leaves their "open" sign on which was misleading. But the employee who worked the 9am shift was really cute.Dominique M.

When I booked the trip I gave my destination location. It was clear that I was going to have to drive from that location to the uhaul location where I would drop off the truck. My trip was capped at a set amount of miles, but it apparently did not account for me dropping off the truck. I didn't drive the truck anywhere else besides my destination and I got gas along the way as I returned. I was stupefied to find out after I got my bill that I was charged for going over my mileage limit. The number of miles was the exact distance from my destination to the uhaul center where I returned the truck. All this information was known before I even started my trip, but the return trip wasn't calculated into my mileage. So you charged me extra for returning the truck!?!?!?!? None of this was explained to me when I picked up the truck, and I had to find out later on the receipt.TIMOTHY H.

Nothing to improve. I am a fast on the go business owner. Every minute matters to me due to having contracts around USA. This Safe Ship location located in San Antonio, TX at Culebra and Tezel is by far above my expectations. I would move a newborn in this locations UHauls. The owner Art and his son Jake are by far the most professional people i have came across. To go somewhere else would mean you do not care for your personal belongings. You dont wanna go here, than why wake up to be responsible? Just press "snooze" again and call it a day. Make the right choice, and start your day as a winner. -Doc PerezJACOB P.
What a rip off. I rented a truck to pick up a couch at a store, near my house, google maps calculated 30 mil round trip. When I returned the truck they didn't check it while I was there but later emailed me the receipt and although I put $10 in gas right before I returned it, still charged me more for gasoline, I feel they also overcharged me for mileage. They charged my card automatically. I called to tell them, the guy told me to call the manager, I did but never got a call back. I don't trust themingrid D.

The drop box has clearly been tampered with, broken into before. It was left that way and not repaired. I had no choice but to leave the key in it. That certainly should be addressed right away! The personal was very friendly and courteous. The van itself was a bit dirty outside and in for my taste, but I left it as I got it.Kornelia C.
The employee at the front office failed to correctly check-in the vehicle on 06/11. On 06/12, I received multiple emails informing me that the truck had not been checked in so I called the drop off location. The employee that answered the phone call informed me that he had checked in every vehicle that was dropped off the previous day and ours was not in their system. I ask him to double check the vehicle number which he finally does and lo and behold he had forgotten to check in the truck I had dropped off. He let me know that â€œhe dropped the ball on this oneâ€. I'm not one to complain but uhaul offered nothing but inconvenience and hassle.Victor C.

Usual u haul rental should be 24 hours. I rented at 11am and the text said to return at 7am. I feel I was shorted 4 hours. I had to rush to get it turned in and didn't have time to had it up which incurred extra cost. So I had it less time and had to pay moreDIANA C.
This location was nice to work with. We used them because the original pick up location on my contact was all locked up with no worker. We lost 2 hours in our work day because of it. I was unhappy with UHaul after driving 6 hours to pick up the truck. TerribleKATHY C.

I returned the vehicle on the same day Dec 19th around 11:30 to 11:45 pm at 9257 Culebra Rd, Ste 101, San Antonio, Tx 78251. I parked the vehicle at the back parking lot and dropped the key in the orange box. Person who handed over the key to me said they will check the camera to find the time when the vehicle was returned. So please check that and as I returned the vehicle on the same day rental charge should not be $89.85 Also no one told me that i should login to uhaul and check out. Request your help to waive that charge as I rented the vehicle only for 12hrs. Ref: 3007696prapanch P.

The vehicle needs alignment and the passenger reflector mirror is damage. Needs to be readjusted/fixed for safety reasons. This could cause an accident.Julio R.
I ordered a 10' truck and when I got there they told me they didn't have it. They told me they would upgrade me for free to a 15' truck. I signed papers stating the tank was full of gas but when I got in the truck it wasn't. Also the A/C was not working and when I told the gentleman; he said yeah give it a minute I just used it the other day it works. A/C never worked and it was 100 degrees outside. Went to use the ramp and it was jammed, and when I returned the truck I had no help. I was told to take the dolly out of the back and pick it up and put it in the truck, lock the door and throw the keys in the box.Melissa D.

NOT cleaned or sanitized. Found loose pills in the door. Something sticky like a soda exploded in the rental before we got it, it was everywhere in droplet form on the walls and dash and seats. The ignition doesn't work well, the key can't be pushed all the way in or it sticks. They didn't mention this til I came back inside wondering why it wouldn't start. They closed 10+ min early, leaving me to use the terrible app to turn it in. I'm happy to be done with this experience.Matt G.

Requested appliance dolly and furniture pads in my online reservation. Chose mobile phone pickup option. Started the pickup process on my phone but still had to go inside the office to get the key from someone. Realized after leaving that the dolly and furniture pads were not inside the truck.Winston M.

Overall experience was good. It could have been great for if I felt upon returning the uhaul to fill gas tank up to contract specifications, the gas gauge would stick and did not register after checking 3 times to see if it moved. I wound up spending $53 when I should have spent half that amount. Makes you wonder !Reynaldo R.

Rental return process was very frustrating due to miscommunication and lack of information provided. Additionally, when I received my receipt after returning the vehicle I was drastically over changed with my rental rate being shown as over 6x the initial rate I agreed to. Had reservation at location near Shaenfield & Loop 1604. Previous renter failed to return on time. Alternate location found--but adding miles and time to my task. I had trusted uhaul on the reservation, and coordinated schedules of 4 individuals to make the move in a short window of time. The truck that I did get appears on its "last legs". Very greedy on gas, engine missing when step on accelerator, while idling in stop-and-go traffic of 1604 the engine temperature pegged at "H" numerous times, and the suspension felt like riding in a wood-wheeled lumber wagon. Very disappointed in the entire experience.Roy T.
