There was no one there when I arrived during normal hours. I had to call a mystery number posted on a door. There was take out food trash in the cab of the truck. The moving pads I rented were not inside the truck when I picked it up and I never got them even though i ordered them online.The pickup location was several miles away from the area I requested. The fuel tank was not completly full. This location seemed to have liitle to do with Uhaul customer service, just a place a truck gets parked for pick up by a customer.Bruce L.

Melanie was very helpful and friendly and the unit that I rented was clean, but by the strip of units that contained my unit was next to a tree line with over hanging limbs that scraped the sides of my inclosed trailer. Also, due to the trees and weather, the roll up door had piles of leaves against it every time I’d return to the unit. The sectional I had in there started to mildew within two months of being in there, probably due to the tree coverage and humidity. In my opinion, the trees are an issue and I would only use the facility again if I could get a unit away from the tree line. Once again, Melanie always answered my calls or called me right back with perfect customer service and I was able to pay rent conveniently.Jenny M. | Overall Experience

I have rented several units with other carriers but I have been really satisfied with this one but mainly I've been satisfied with the staff. She has gone over and beyond to make us satisfied. Very little done except to say hook up. No connection for trailer lights had to buy one from local auto parts store. No trailer jack provided, used on at location to hook to truck and they would not let me take it for trip.Gary J.

I was over charged for the 5 hours I had it ! I was charged $125.00 for such few hours . I filled the truck back up to full after going 11 miles in the truck. I was told that they would refund some of my money. Other then that the lady at the office was very friendly. She wasn't the one that over charged me .Mona T.

Uhaul itself is a scam. We paid 400 dollars for a truck rental that came with zero tie downs or ratchet straps, then was charged an astronomical amount for fuel related costs, even though it didn't cost 40 dollars to get the tank up to a quarter of a tank where it was when we picked it up. Having said that, if it is to be refueled to a certain amount before being available for pickup again, ours was not. It was at a quarter of a tank when we got it, causing us to have to stop what we were doing and fill the truck up the day of the move. All in all, the experience with uhaul was poor.Andre B.

She was extremely super nice and helpful I would recommend people calling in visiting her little shop she even came 15 minutes early to assist me and showed me where the paperwork came out and help me load my trailer to my truck was very helpful kind and considerate there was nothing in HATTIESBURG at the moment so I drove to petal which wasn't that far away but the lady came into work early because she had a note on her door saying if you need services Bubba blah and I had to get to work by 10:15 so she came in 15 minutes early :-) Small things like that people take for granite customer service was extremely on her top priority and I was very pleased I will be coming back to her location again if I need a trailerCALLOWAY T.

Improve the U Haul computer payment process. I could make a reservation with a cash gift card. When I went to pick the trailer, it showed a 0 balance, but was told that if I use the gift card; I would have to pay an additional $60.00. I then went to try to pay cash. I was told it would also require a $60.00 deposit. U Haul needs to put a flashing banner stating they only accept debit/credit cards for payments without any additional deposits.Robert L.

The reservation process is the worst I've ever seen. I informed the reservation center that I needed the vehicle either that night or the next morning by 7:30am at the latest. I was told that I would be contacted before 6pm with a p/u time/location. By 5:30 I had not received a call so I contacted the center. She told me that she had my reservation info and that I was scheduled to p/u the next morning in waynesboro OVER AN HR AND A HALF AWAY from where I lived. Naturally I was upset since I had CLEARLY GIVEN THE RESERVATION CENTER MY CURRENT LOCATION. When I informed the center of the mix up she said that the best she could do was get me set up in petal for 9am. I asked if she could give me a credit for the mileage diff and she said yes, to which later I learned was only a 3 mile credit after I asked! She then responded with 'well how much do you need?' Although the owner of the facility was very friendly, I highly doubt that I will ever use this company's services in the future nor recommend it unless it is a last resort.sheronda M.
